"Our flight was temporarily delayed and we didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning, but the hotel still arranged the airport pick-up as promised, which was really touching. Located just a stone's throw from Bao'an Airport, it's the top choice for a layover and rest. Xie at the front desk was still warm and welcoming despite the late hour, with no perfunctorily polite gestures at all—the service attitude deserves a big thumbs up. The room was quiet and dark, and the quiet air conditioner blew a strong, fast breeze, making it easy to cool down and quickly reach the airport terminal and city rail connection point. The front desk service was meticulous, proactively reminding us of wake-up times to avoid oversleeping and missing flights. The room's blackout effect was great, making for a quality catch-up sleep, and the air conditioning cooling was stable and lasting, ensuring a comfortable stay all day long. The self-service laundry room was well-maintained, the dryer provided even heat, and clothes came out dry, smooth, and free of dampness. There are numerous restaurants along the street; you can just head downstairs for breakfast early in the morning, which perfectly replaces hotel breakfast at a great price. Overall, this place is extremely reliable."

"An exceptionally satisfying stay. The hotel is quiet and comfortable, exceptionally clean, and the room was tidy with no weird smells. The breakfast offered a good variety, including hot dishes, pastries, and fresh fruit, and everything tasted great. The front desk and service staff were warm, friendly, and prompt, attentively helping us resolve any issues, which made for a wonderful service experience. "This is a brand-new hotel with no lingering renovation smell, and the location is superb—right above Puning's busiest commercial area. The room is huge, so much so that there's a proper hallway after stepping through the door. However, the view outside the window is pretty average, mostly just a bunch of massive central AC units. The breakfast was great and definitely lives up to the Hilton name.
The service is worth mentioning: First, since we arrived quite early (just after 12:00 PM), the room wasn't ready yet. The guy at the front desk was extremely polite and kept following up with housekeeping to expedite the cleaning. After waiting for nearly 40 minutes, we were finally able to check in. The staff member apologized repeatedly, gave us a bunch of small gifts, and even threw in complimentary breakfast—truly sincere service.
On the other hand, after checking in, we requested an extra duvet for our child. When I called Housekeeping, the guy on the phone immediately said the hotel was fully booked and that all extra duvets had already been lent out, so there were none left... It was barely past 1:00 PM, and claiming they were already ”all taken” seemed like a very far-fetched, almost ridiculous excuse. That said, they did end up delivering a duvet in the end, and the staff member who brought it was very friendly, which was still appreciated."

"The biggest surprise on this trip to South Australia was this king room! The floor-to-ceiling windows look directly out to sea, and soaking in the bathtub while watching the ocean was incredibly relaxing. The room came with a Marshall speaker; connecting to Bluetooth and playing music really set the perfect mood. The bedding was soft, the room was very clean, and it was great for photos too. Just lying here quietly, watching the sea and listening to music, perfectly captured that holiday vibe. It's absolutely perfect for couples, highly recommended!"

"This hotel was booked for a Korean contract, and it's right across the street. Just go downstairs and cross a pedestrian bridge, and you're there. You can leisurely head over after breakfast and even come back for a short rest.
The location is excellent. You can walk to Canton Tower, and there are several large shopping malls nearby with plenty of dining options, including a Da Ge Fan (Roasted Pigeon) restaurant that doesn't require waiting. Parking is on the third basement level, with many available spaces. The room is very spacious, bright, and clean, perfect for a family stay. The decor and furnishings are beautiful, all appliances are from major brands, and there are two bathrooms, a kitchen, a refrigerator, and a washer-dryer combo, so you can cook your own meals – it feels like a home away from home for a few days in Guangzhou. The complimentary red wine in the room is great, there are free soft drinks in the fridge, and snacks on the coffee table, which is a thoughtful touch. The gym looks good too, quite spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast restaurant is a bit small, but still perfectly fine. There's a monitor at the entrance with a pre-call elevator function, which you can use before leaving to reduce waiting time."

It's very convenient to go shopping or find food nearby, and being close to the subway makes traveling to various attractions both time-saving and effortless. The rooms are clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding, providing a great quality of rest. The rooms are equipped with small refrigerators, which are practical for storing drinks and fruits, making them especially thoughtful for summer trips. The hotel also has a robot named Lucky that can help deliver items to the room, which is novel and convenient. The front desk staff are warm and courteous, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and responding quickly to any needs. The public areas are clean, and the supporting facilities are well-maintained. The overall environment is quiet, not disturbed by the noise from the surrounding business district. Whether for travel, sightseeing, or short-term business trips, it's a great choice with good value for money. Next time I come to Guangzhou, I will preferentially choose this hotel again. I sincerely recommend it to friends visiting the Tianhe area.

RRainie tongHigh-floor view, the room felt neat and clean, with complete facilities. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around and find great food. The staff were friendly and welcoming, leading to a wonderful overall stay with great value for money. The lobby has a great atmosphere and is equipped with all essential amenities, close to numerous dining and shopping options. The hotel provides breakfast, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks. Right across from the hotel is Beijing Road, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Peasant Movement Institute Station (or equivalent local station) or Gongyuanqian Metro Station, which feature Line 1 and Line 2. Getting to places frequented by seniors and kids—like the Guangzhou Oceanarium, zoo, children's park, and Pearl River night cruise—is extremely convenient. The easy commute makes sightseeing much less exhausting. The decision-making and arrangements were spot-on. We stayed for two nights, and the evening staff promptly replenished bottled water and other supplies. They also allowed us to store our luggage for three days. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time, especially since I've already stored my luggage and booked again.

AAdel KLQWas disappointed when I called for the airport pick up as the lady said No English! How am I supposed to book if you don't speak English? This was the 1st hurdle.
2nd hurdle was room TV wasn't working and how would I called for help if they don't speak English right?
3rd hurdle was breakfast from 7-9am.
My flight was 8.30am
They arranged for my transfer at 5am. So, do I get to pack my brekkie? Lady said NO
So, I argued and then she showed me a papervag of juice and buns.
This hotel is outdated from the outlook and was originally called Super 8 hotel
Bedroom slippers was not new but rather recycled plastic slippers. Looks so unhygienic to use .
Booked this place due to their airport pick up/drop off that's all.
I'd rather book another hotel if you asked me.

Vvina_cWe had an amazing stay this time! First of all, the ocean views from the hotel are unbeatable. We were lucky to have clear, sunny weather, and the sea and sky blended into a brilliant, crystal-clear blue! You can watch the sunrise right from your room's small balcony or take a walk down to the seawall. The hotel has an innovative design—the front desk is on the top floor, and the rooms cascade downwards, meaning every single room faces the ocean. Everywhere you look is a picturesque view, perfect for taking photos, and just completely relaxing. The swimming pool is clean and beautiful, and I loved it! I also brought two elderly family members who are in their 80s, and the young staff members took such attentive care of them over the two days. We had a wonderful time! A fantastic hotel that I highly recommend!

HHushenyuHonestly, the service team was so inconsistent it was speechless, with too many frustrating examples to list 😅. The concierge downstairs was excellent, and the lobby front desk staff were professional and good. However, the room attendants seemed quite young, possibly untrained, and their compensation might be average. They were completely clueless about the binoculars, laundry service, and minibar 😅. The male staff at the fitness center were very enthusiastic and provided professional and thorough guidance. But the changing room cleaner, an old man, would work right next to you, silently trying to shoo you away, and when asked a question, his tone was sarcastic… My companion mentioned that the female attendants were bad, ignoring her and chatting/playing on their phones nearby. I also observed the same situation during my visit 😅. The afternoon tea at the lounge was quite sparse (though it seemed better for foreigners**), but the evening service and food quality were excellent and attentive. Overall, if I hadn't been unable to book at Dongwan, I wouldn't have bothered going here. Every staff member at breakfast was professional, thumbs up. Some facilities in the executive room were showing their age; the minibar had a rusty smell 😂, likely due to prolonged disuse without replacement, but the room attendant was still enthusiastic. The hallway carpet was old, and the air freshener had an unsettling, somewhat rancid smell.
Overall, for 5k a night, it felt worse than some 2k-3k-a-night hotels. To an NPC, this is the most disappointing fan I've ever stayed at. Now I understand why my boss specifically said not to sign a contract with this place.

I chose this hotel specifically because of the proximity - only 8 min walk from the gate entry. But for one night the room felt super big and comfy, and everyone helped me understand how to get to the station.

GGuest UserI first learned about Mandarin Oriental because of Leslie Cheung, and since the Guangzhou property happened to be quite reasonably priced, I booked a one-night stay to experience it.
Let's start with the pros: The location is fantastic. It's right above Shipaiqiao Metro Station, with direct access to the hotel from the ground floor of Taikoo Hui. There are all kinds of shopping malls surrounding it, and it's not far from the Guangdong Museum, Canton Tower, and the Guangzhou Museum of Art. The young ladies at the front desk were very warm and greeted us with bright smiles. They promptly changed our room and even helped us with the elevator. There are soft stools inside the elevators, which are convenient for placing bags or for elderly guests to sit on. The room layout is quite regular, the mattress is comfortable, the linens are clean, and they didn't trigger any allergies. The curtains are button-operated and provide great blackout coverage. The bathtub comes with bath salts (though I'd suggest adding disposable bathtub liners). The welcome fruit was varied and tasted great.
Now for the cons: The soundproofing in the room is poor. The TV and voices from next door were very clear (the woman next door must have been like a lawyer, talking loudly for hours into the night). There are way too many mirrors in both the lobby and the rooms, making it a bit easy to get disoriented. The body lotion is in a large pump bottle fixed to the vanity, which is inconvenient to use and impossible to take home as a souvenir. The tea is bagged; I'd recommend adding large ceramic mugs with handles or offering loose-leaf tea. Only canned mineral water is provided—it would be better to add bottled water specifically for making tea. All the drinks in the fridge are chargeable; nowadays people care about health and don't drink that many anyway, so they could stock fewer cans and offer them to guests for free.
Finally, the highlight was the breakfast. Both the Chinese and Western kitchens were authentic—I polished off two bottles of yogurt alone. If you have time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, you should definitely book a room here.

PPupa-This is my third time staying here, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations once again. The room is spacious, impeccably clean with every corner spotless, and completely odor-free. The mattress has just the right firmness, the soundproofing is great, and it was very quiet at night, ensuring a wonderful sleep.
The front desk staff are polite and attentive, the check-in process was efficient, and any requests were handled promptly. The location is super convenient, right next to Taikoo Hui, with complete surrounding amenities. The facilities are well-maintained and the WiFi is stable. It's perfect for both business trips and short stays. Five-star review, this will definitely be my top choice next time!
