"Unexpectedly good! The hotel is very close to the station. After arriving from Brussels South Station, it's about a five-minute walk to the hotel. The environment is super nice, and there's free bottled water downstairs. The breakfast was amazing, very Western-style. I stayed for three days and had a fantastic experience. It's about a kilometer from the city center and the Bell Tower, a pleasant walk away. The city has shopping areas. There's an ice cream shop downstairs at the hotel that's always busy, and diagonally opposite there's a Chinese supermarket, with Chinese restaurants and noodle shops nearby. It's really great, definitely my top choice for Ghent! The price is reasonable too. The room cards are all pink, super cute and thoughtful. There's a very humorous and attentive man at the front desk. He told me that after a certain time at night, only the back door would be open and the front desk would close. My flight was very early, and he also told me how to check out. His English was excellent!"

"I stayed in Oudenaarde for a few days while visiting clients. It's a very quiet and peaceful little city, and Leopold is considered a mid-to-high-end hotel in the area. It's not very big, but it made for a very warm and comfortable stay. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Since I was staying for several days, the hotel suggested that I only have the towels cleaned and changed, and if I didn't want the sheets changed, they would give me a €5 voucher, which could be redeemed for drinks at the bar downstairs. The lady in charge of breakfast was always busy but very accommodating. When I asked if they had warm milk, she heated it up for me without hesitation. During my stay, different cycling teams came by every day for activities. Even though the men were older, they were all in great shape and full of energy. There's a small river outside the hotel, and it was nice to jog along the riverbank in the morning, enjoying the warm sunshine and fresh air – a truly peaceful experience."

The cosy breakfast room is the setting for a generous breakfast buffet. The buffet is always beautifully arranged, fresh and very generous including fresh fruits, waffles baked on the spot, eggs and a selection of cold meats.

After that day, I asked if we could order breakfast. The friendly young man answered ”yes, it can still”, but I went to check if we were able to take breakfast with it (my daughter had to go early to the 200m tower). When I went to check this, I received a brief and unfriendly message from the other man (who we had asked earlier that day) that we had to decide this immediately. I told the young man, I was looking at whether it was possible, and then we took the breakfast and this was excellently cared (for which thanks)"

"Sint Niklaas was going thru a process of major road and town works. Confusing one-way systems at play gave me a flat tyre reversing back around the right way and hitting a bunch of stones popping out the ground near the kerb.
I think it would be nice to return once the town face-lift is complete... 🤔
Ibis, I thought you'd be better than that. €20 deposit for a kettle and no milk, coffee, tea, or sugar in your room on arrival.. 😒
The ladies working there were lovely enough to give my gf & I a smile 🥰 they know where to park and at what times to pay the machines at the car parks 🤓

"Because I joined a domestic tour group halfway through, I stayed at the hotel. It feels good. The hotel is relatively new and not big, but it is clean and the bed is comfortable. ShufuyouThis hotel, a former military barracks in Ghent, champions eco-friendliness and creativity! Just look at that bowl of wontons—can you believe this was made in a hotel restaurant in a medieval city in Belgium? Even Lao Gan Ma chili crisp is available at the front desk shop!
I particularly love the color scheme here: the blue feels so luxurious, and the pink is wonderfully vibrant!
The breakfast is plentiful with lots of options. I recommend booking a room with breakfast included; watching the people in the breakfast room feels like being back in college—it's a whole room full of young people, truly a hotel designed for a younger crowd.

The room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options.
Service was outstanding. As we had to check out at 4am on our last day, we informed the hotel that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the breakfast. The team kindly prepared a takeaway food bag for us, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

hhorizonExcellent! The decor is stylish, and it's clean and quiet. Although it's not in the city center, public transport is very convenient. Finding a queen-size bed in a standard room in Europe is a huge bonus, needless to say. The long-haired, black-haired female receptionist was very enthusiastic. The only minor downside was the tissue box, which only had about five sheets – I wonder if they forgot to replace it.

Guest UserThe hotel is situated in a beautiful location in the historic center of Ghent. We had a spacious room, which was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the shower lacked pressure, resulting in a weak stream.
The breakfast was fine, although the breakfast room is not very spacious.
The hotel bar was not busy, making it less inviting.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel; it is a great starting point for a weekend in Ghent.

Hands down best view from the room! Booked another night as I had a really good impression and experience - wish I had stayed longer! Bed is comfy and the room is...roomy enough. The ladies at the front were exceptionally accommodating for when I had issues checking out and checking back in. Staff is overall awesome! The only shower room is fairly well kept. For a small amount there will be everything that you will/might need: from towels, laundry/dryer, tea/coffee/beer/snacks, luggage storage, to kayaks. Didn't have to use the common kitchen but it seemed equipped. Really can't go wrong with the location - everything is within reach and the are is just simply beautiful day/night.
