"I've been to Australia three times, but this was my first trip to Tasmania. I traveled solo, taking a 2.5-hour drive from Hobart to Launceston in the north. I stayed at this Best Western Plus for two nights, and my overall experience was very good.
**Cleanliness:** Very clean, and housekeeping cleans daily. If you're staying multiple nights and don't need cleaning the next day, you can hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on your doorknob, and they'll give you an 8 AUD meal voucher for breakfast at the restaurant.
**Facilities:** Standardized beds and a bathroom. The room was spacious, very comfortable for one person. The bathroom had bath towels, regular towels, and hand towels. Laundry supplies were also provided. The minibar offered free tea bags and instant coffee. Two complimentary bottles of mineral water were in the room, with additional bottles costing 4 AUD each.
The parking lot 🅿️ was quite large.

"This hotel is the closest one to Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre, so it's always busy. The soundproofing in the rooms is poor; it gets very noisy when people walk by.
The female receptionist at the front desk reminded me of the mother searching for her missing son in Jurassic Park 2. She clearly treated white guests differently from Asian guests. She was all smiles and patiently answered questions for the previous guest, even meticulously explaining hiking routes. But when it came to us, she barely smiled, was dismissive, and gave us the noisiest room.
The breakfast quantity was decent, but the quality was bad. I even found a foreign object in my food."

"This hotel is simply a vacation paradise! The most delightful surprise was the hotel's own vibrant farm. Waking up to the crisp sound of roosters crowing in the morning, surrounded by nature, and getting to feed adorable, therapeutic small animals up close – it was truly a charming and rustic experience.

"WONDERFUL WYNYARD WATERFRONT, a reimagined 60s style refurbished strip motel that all face the waterfront. Great size bathroom, and very very comfy bed. "The room was much better than I expected! I thought it would be old-fashioned, but it was actually really nice! Plus, it had a small balcony, and the heating in the room was excellent, so no worries about being cold in winter. The only minor things were that you need to bring your own toiletries, and the complimentary bottled water wasn't replenished daily, only provided on the first day, and subsequent bottles were chargeable, which I found a bit odd. Overall, the stay was good. However, if you take the Skybus to the city stop, it's still about a 10-15 minute walk from there."

"We had the most amazing stay here, all thanks to the incredible hospitality!We arrived at Hobart Airport after a super long and exhausting journey, and we were honestly running on empty. "I really can't say enough good things about the Ibis Hobart. The service was excellent, all thanks to the very responsible and friendly staff at the front desk and housekeeping. The hotel environment is great, and it's super convenient for getting around. You can easily get to anywhere you need to go. Plus, the hotel has a free swimming pool, sauna, and a small gym. I finally got to try them out on my last day and it was absolutely fantastic! Swimming and sauna in Hobart? A perfect match! "Good location, just walking distance to the main streets which closes very early. Restaurants are easily accessible. I self drive, nearest parking is of about 3-5mins walk away at $35AUD per night unlimited. I personally feel if i were to choose again, maybe i would just park at the nearest carpark beside, or park at the same carpark without using the hotel privilege, maybe it could be cheaper. This is because i only come back to the hotel at night and moved out early in the morning. Worth exploring if anyone were to try.
Cleanliness wise, im not too sure, i make room everyday but theres some stains in the bathroom which was left on day1, still there on day3, but room and bed definitely tidied.
Still worth to stay. Love the indoor pool and the breakfast is good too! (Ala carte order, not buffet)"

The SinclairsGot there after receptipn closed due to flight delays and was easy to get access to the room. Bed was huge and very comfortable, room was clean. Breakfast was a good price and the kids meal was great. Would highly recommend as a place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.

Guest UserThe room wasn't very big, and since I booked only a week in advance, the price was a bit higher than expected. Overall, the hygiene was acceptable, although there were hairs on the bed and in the bathroom when I checked in. The hotel staff helped us resolve that. I forgot to take photos of the room, but you can refer to the hotel's pictures and other reviews; they're all pretty similar. It's worth noting that international hotels aren't as accommodating as domestic ones when it comes to upgrades. Here, you'd either need to be a high-tier member or pay for a higher room category to get an upgrade.
Each day, the room is stocked with two bottles of drinking water, a carton of milk, and the usual capsule coffee and tea bags – pretty standard. However, I don't understand why housekeeping moved my belongings. Several times, I returned to find my neck pillow on the floor, clothes I'd hung on the hanger had been moved, and my slippers were in a different spot. While it's not a major issue, it was a bit annoying for someone with OCD. I hope the hotel can pay attention to this aspect.
I've included a few breakfast photos. On a side note, the fillet steak at the downstairs restaurant was very tender and worth trying.

Natty TengWe had a fantastic stay at Freycinet Lodge. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the breakfast was excellent. One of the highlights was enjoying breakfast with the stunning view of the bay, which made our mornings very special.
One tip for future guests: the road leading to the hotel can be quite dark at night, so it's best to arrive before sunset if possible.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Tasmania!

The hotel is perfectly located right within the CBD. Getting here from the airport was incredibly easy and convenient via the SkyBus. The room featured a fantastic, unblocked view of the city skyline, which was a highlight of the stay.

The room offered good enough space to unpack and relax comfortably. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained throughout the visit.

o-----oHow to describe it... the room was very spacious with high ceilings, and both the views outside and the common areas inside were fantastic. The breakfast was a set meal, beautifully prepared and delicious – more than enough to eat.
The downside was that upon arrival at 5 PM, the staff had already left. I called them, but their English wasn't great, and it took me half an hour to figure out how to open the password lock and get the room card. The staff work from 8 AM to 4 PM, and breakfast starts at 8 AM, which is a bit late. I stayed for three nights but only managed to have breakfast once due to the timing.
In the bathroom, there were no mouthwash cups. The sink was too small, and water would splash out easily if the tap was turned on too much. The faucet looked nice, but it was hard to find the right water temperature; you had to turn it millimeter by millimeter to adjust it. On the plus side, parking was convenient and free, which is a definite advantage since most hotels charge for it.

WhuiWe really loved our stay here. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful, surrounded by nature with plenty of wildlife. The location is very convenient as it is within the national park area and very close to the shuttle bus stop. There is also a restaurant inside the hotel.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We mentioned in our booking that we were celebrating a birthday and our anniversary. the hotel thoughtfully prepared wine and chocolates for us, which was such a lovely surprise.
We did have an issue with the spa not working. We mentioned it to the front desk while we were having dinner and they immediately sent someone to our room to check it for us. The staff later suggested trying to turn the spa plug in a different direction and also offered to change our room if it still didn’t work. As we went to a nearby sanctuary that evening and returned quite late, we decided not to request a room change even though the spa was still not working. When we gave the hotel our feedback afterwards, they were very responsive and willing to offer compensation.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely choose to stay here again next time!
