My son and nephew stayed in the Premier Twin Room, and their feedback honestly left me flabbergasted. For boys whose vocabulary on things like hotels and hospitality is usually quite limited, they simply could not stop yapping about how much they loved the room! According to them, the room was huge, comfortable, and incredibly cosy. Their absolute favourite part? The complimentary mini bar items — that definitely earned extra points! They also could not stop talking about how amazing the shower was. A special mention must also go to the housekeeping team. Hats off to the housekeeping lad who somehow managed to clean and organise the room so well despite the unbelievable amount of clutter the boys created within such a short time frame. Truly impressive and very much appreciated. The boys also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread and kept mentioning the warmth and hospitality showered upon them throughout their stay. Thank you once again to the entire team at Sunway Hotel Penang for making their stay such a memorable one. It is experiences like these that keep us coming back.

My family and I recently enjoyed a stay at Angsana Teluk Bahang and found it to be the perfect choice for a relaxing staycation. Located on the quieter side of Penang, the resort is about 40–50 minutes from George Town, which may feel a little far from the city centre, but that's exactly what makes it special. If you're looking to escape the traffic, crowds, and bustle of town, Angsana offers a peaceful beachfront retreat with plenty of space to unwind. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with beautiful sea views, and the beach is not crowded at all. The infinity pool overlooking the sea was a favourite spot for our family, especially in the evenings when the sunset painted the sky over the Straits of Malacca. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, helping to make the stay smooth and enjoyable from check-in to departure. Although the resort feels secluded, it's still only a short drive from Batu Ferringhi if you want to explore local food, night markets, or nearby attractions. For us, however, the best part was simply slowing down and enjoying the calm surroundings. Overall, Angsana Teluk Bahang is an excellent option for families seeking a relaxing beachfront staycation. While it is some distance from the city, the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful sea views, and resort facilities make it well worth the trip, will definitely come again!

My stay at Neo+ Hotel was very pleasant. The hotel's location is super convenient, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and getting around is a breeze. There's even a bar right across the street, which is great if you want a drink or to hang out with friends in the evening, yet the room remained quite quiet and wasn't significantly disturbed by noise. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Both check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a highly recommended accommodation option.

I did a lot of research before deciding on Hotel Sentral Seaview by the Beach. Most reviews weren’t favorable however I was willing to take a risk considering my last hotel was horrible. Overall, I was surprised and it has exceeded my expectations. Having said that my expectations were pretty low! Positives: - Rooms were clean. The hardware of the hotel has undergone some major wear and tear. However, the hotel and room has undergone a fresh coat of paint. There is a faint smell of paint, but that for me wasn’t a negative. - Initially in my room was facing the hotel next-door. On the same level I could see the security guards and the neighbor hotel walk back-and-forth. As a female guest, this made me feel super uncomfortable. I went downstairs and requested a room change. The response from the front desk was “Just close your curtains.” In the end I was changed to another room on the other side of the hotel facing the ocean. - The view! Wow. Seeing and hearing the waves from the beach.. all the stress falls away! Because I was given this room, I made the decision to rebook another 2 nights at the hotel! - Wi-Fi was strong. - Hardly anyone using the pool, which made it really peaceful and quiet. Water is cool and clean. On the first day I was there the hotel were doing maintenance and cleaning of the pool area. - The beach is quiet (not many people) - and quite clean. - Right in front of the hotel, few footsteps away is a huge food court with lots of variety of food. It’s fantastic. 10 min walk is Lotus Mall. - There is a bus stop outside. Take 101 to go to Batu Ferringhi Beach. - 200 m from the hotel is the Oceano Symphony cafe. Good food and drinks. - Breakfast - was basic but ok. - Staff are friendly and helpful! Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives. I can understand that this hotel may not be the standard of a lot of international guests. But for peace, little crowds and sounds of the waves, in a quiet spot on the Penang island it’s been great.

This was our first time in Penang, and it was our honeymoon! When I made the reservation, I added a note about it, and the hotel staff really did prepare our room in advance. Even though we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, there was a cake already waiting in the room, and it was decorated with rose petals and swans. A huge thank you! 🙏 We'll definitely stay at this hotel again if we come back to Penang. The emotional value was through the roof! Plus, it was super convenient to get everywhere by taxi.

Our stay in Penang exceeded our expectations. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to Gurney Drive, perfect for an evening stroll by the sea. Finding food nearby was absolutely no problem. We booked a sea-view room, and waking up to the ocean view in the morning was a pleasant surprise. Sitting by the window chatting in the evening was also very atmospheric. The room wasn't overly luxurious, but it was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was decent – we weren't disturbed by hallway noise. The staff were very friendly and proactive in helping with any issues. Breakfast offered a good variety; the taste was standard, filling but not particularly outstanding. If I had to point out any downsides, some of the facilities show their age, lacking the pristine details of a newer hotel, and elevator waits can be a bit long during peak hours. However, considering the location, room view, and overall price, we felt it was definitely worth it. If we come back to Penang, we'd very likely consider staying here again. It made for a relaxing and enjoyable couple's trip.

The rooms are huge and super comfortable! They can accommodate up to 12 adults! The main thing is that the rooms are very clean! That's what really deserves praise! My biggest fear is staying in a dirty Airbnb.

We had a fantastic stay at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang. The hotel offers spacious and clean rooms, friendly staff, and excellent facilities. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of delicious food, and the swimming pool was perfect for both adults and children. The location is peaceful with beautiful sea views, making it a great place to relax. We were also warmly welcomed with the famous DoubleTree chocolate cookies upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. The staff were attentive, professional, and always ready to assist with any requests. Overall, this hotel provides great value for money and is highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Penang. We would definitely return in the future.

Recently we stayed at M Social Resort Penang and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good. The room was generally well-maintained and comfortable. However, there is still some room for improvement, as I noticed a few tiny bugs or insects on the wall, as well as some spots around the sliding door area and on the balcony floor. The location is excellent, especially for those who enjoy beach activities. The hotel offers private beach access, which is very convenient and adds great value to the stay. The service was outstanding throughout my visit. The bellboy team was very helpful and professional, the reception staff were friendly and efficient, and room service was prompt and reliable. The service standards across all departments deserve recognition. The amenities provided were comprehensive and met all expectations. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was available. The swimming pool was well-maintained and clean. I especially appreciated the dedicated children’s section, making it suitable for families. The lobby is one of the highlights of the hotel. It is very clean, beautifully designed, and offers a fantastic view. The welcome drink provided before check-in was also a nice touch and created a great first impression. Parking facilities were generally good. While basement parking is available, the number of spaces is somewhat limited. Open-air parking is also available and works well. However, access from the basement parking area to the lobby needs improvement. There appears to be no direct lift access, requiring guests to climb two to three levels of stairs, which can be inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with a fluffy mattress and excellent pillows that provided a great night’s sleep. One feature that truly impressed me was the AI Box system that replaces the traditional hotel room phone. Guests can use it to control the TV, request amenities, contact room service, housekeeping, and reception. This modern and innovative feature greatly enhanced the overall guest experience. Overall, M Social Resort Penang offers excellent service, a great location with private beach access, comfortable rooms, modern technology, and a welcoming atmosphere. With minor improvements to room detailing and basement parking access, the experience would be even better.

RRayTFirst of all the hotel rented out the rooms for individual operator. So there will be different check in counter. Upon check in, been told that the room card not functioning as they are doing upgrading, so every time u come back will need to call the house keeping to unlock the door. Most importantly they charge RM 17 per night for car parking. So a lot of car parking outside which make the entrance a bit difficult

GGuest UserEnvironment: The hotel isn't very big, but it's small and exquisite, with direct beach access. There are three pools, two large and one small, with the smallest being a 0.5-meter kiddie pool, which is quite tiny. I booked a deluxe sea view room, but apparently, all rooms of this type have a side sea view. I'm not sure what makes it 'deluxe' – I really disliked it 👎. If a direct sea view is important to you, don't book this hotel. Service: Everything else was pretty good, except for the Indian front desk lady at the Chinese restaurant. Beware: If there's a private event, it will take over the best public areas of the hotel. Honestly, the thing I disliked most throughout my stay was that the 'sea view room' didn't have a proper sea view at all.

YyuleimorrisPros: Although the decor is a bit dated, the overall service and facilities are still up to par. The rooms in RaSa Wing are generally spacious, with a separate walk-in closet, and a large living room. The TV on the desk can be pulled out and rotated. There are also daily welcome snacks (dried fruits). For breakfast, you can choose the mainstream buffet at Garden Wing, or for a more unique experience, order à la carte at the RaSa restaurant on the second floor – their Hokkien Mee and Curry Mee are very authentic! The overall service level is also on point; you can take a shuttle from the concierge at the entrance to Golden Sands' swimming pool, and the staff are very friendly and greet you warmly. The overall facilities and service meet Shangri-La standards. Cons: 1. The parent-child facilities are not extensive enough, not as good as many domestic hotels: Basically, only the pool is available for play. Even at Golden Sands' water park, there's only one small slide, and there's always a queue, so it's not particularly impressive. There is a kids' club, but it requires an extra fee (though not expensive). Other parent-child activities are limited and not available daily, and it feels like we didn't receive schedule notifications on the RaSa Wing side. The parent-child experience is a minus. 2. The Concierge informed me that RaSa Wing guests could order free soft drinks at the pool bar (including Golden Sands), but when I actually went to Golden Sands, I was told that RaSa Wing guests couldn't enjoy this benefit there. 3. The food options provided during Happy Hour are more Western-oriented, with very few Chinese dishes, and the taste is mediocre. It's fine to try it once on the first day, but don't have high expectations. 4. The beach has been eroded, which is a major drawback for a beachfront hotel to not have a beach. Suggestions: You can walk to Batu Ferringhi beach; taking a taxi might get stuck in traffic. I don't recommend the durian stall at the RaSa Wing hotel entrance; instead, go to the durian stall at the Golden Sands entrance (only available at night), the quality is much better!

ZZoubianshijielvyourangwokuaileFirst time staying at this hotel. The entrance isn't very prominent, and it doesn't have that luxurious, grand feel. However, once you enter the lobby, the service staff are very enthusiastic and efficient. The hotel's location facing the sea behind it offers a truly amazing view in the evening. The room size was adequate, but I felt the facilities were a bit dated. Housekeeping seemed a bit slow and inefficient. Breakfast variety and taste were just okay, and when it got crowded, the queueing system with number calling was a bit chaotic, with people cutting in. On the upside, there are a lot of great local food stalls and a snack street around the hotel.

TTriple A TourRecently we stayed at Mercure Penang Beach and had an enjoyable experience overall. The cleanliness of the room was satisfactory, and the general tidiness was acceptable. However, the hotel could improve the condition and maintenance of the carpets and flooring to enhance the overall guest experience. The amenities provided were adequate and met basic expectations. One aspect that stood out was the room service team, who delivered excellent service throughout my stay. Kudos to the staff for their professionalism and responsiveness. The room TV setup could be improved. Many modern hotels now offer Google TV or Android TV, which provide a better entertainment experience and more viewing options for guests. The swimming pool is great for children and families. However, I would suggest relocating the shower area closer to the pool entrance. Currently, it is located quite far away, which may discourage guests from showering before entering the pool. One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its location. Guests have direct access to the beach, making it an excellent choice for beach activities and seaside relaxation. The breakfast selection was impressive, offering a wide variety of choices. The food was also tasty and enjoyable, making breakfast one of the highlights of the stay. The main area that requires improvement is the parking facility, which could be better organized and more convenient for guests. Overall, Mercure Penang Beach offers a pleasant stay with excellent room service, a good family-friendly pool, direct beach access, and a great breakfast spread. With improvements to the TV system, pool shower location, flooring condition, and parking facilities, the guest experience could be even better.
