We stayed in a family room on the 3rd floor, but the internet connection was very poor and the Wi-Fi was weak. We couldn't use our phones in the room, which was really inconvenient. The bathroom and other areas, however, were clean and good.
View from the apartment was amazing and just need to look through the window and you see the blue sky and ocean. Just that the apartment they gave us has 3 rooms and if you book 2 rooms they will locked up the one of the room. The issue is that when we checked in they just let the 3rd room open and we thought we could used it until the security guard came and knock the door and said he has to lock up one of the rooms.
Good location!
Not in peak season, but still crowded with travellers with young members of families can be seen in the pools and breakfast dining restaurant.
Room is spacious enough with all basic facilities. Bathroom cleanliness needs to be improved otherwise generally good and recommended to stay for holidays!
I did not book room with breakfast but decided to hv it the next morning. Upon paying I ask for receipt but was told no receipt will be issued. Wonders why? Restaurant staff hv language barriers. Either they dont speak or understand which is seriously annoying when you ask for something and they think you are talking in a foreign language when it’s just simple English.
Checking in out is way too long, only one staff manning the reception.
Although the hotel doesn't look new or modern, the interior is mostly wooden and painting. The hotel room was very clean especially the toilet. The breakfast buffet is delicious with a variety of choices.
It is a very best hotel so far. Nice room with king and single size bed for a family room. The toilet is quiet spacious and water also very heavy, good to shower. Room is clean, and also a nice view at the main entrance. Will stay here soon later.
This hotel offers incredible value for money, especially for ***** New Year in February! It's an absolute steal. The hotel boasts a pool, a beach, and a gym. The rooms are incredibly spacious, offering direct sea views, and housekeeping is on point with daily cleaning. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's decent. For just over 400 RMB including breakfast, I honestly don't think any other hotel in this price range can compete at this time of year. Downstairs, just across the road, there are two convenience stores and a few restaurants. For more dining and shopping options, I'd recommend heading straight to Gurney Plaza, which is less than 4 kilometers from the hotel. The only downside is that it's quite a distance from the airport, over 20 kilometers away.
Clean room with good scent environment. Breakfast was delicious and many varities. Cardless ample parking is convenient. Location near to Queensbay mall is a plus. The food at night hawker center-PISA CORNER opposite the hotel is so delicious and cheap.
Easy parking at the hotel (inside and outside), easy check in and checkout, friendly staffs, good amenities, delicious foods, comfy and clean room..most important, best pool for adults and kids..nice view in the background (seaview) and in front of the hotel (hill view).
Nice view and great swimming pool. However be aware that the pool is 1.2m deep. Facilities wise nothing wow, just enough. Hard to drive across the road, as traffic is busy in front of the hotel. The way up to the parking also winding and narrow. Lift need to wait long time during peak hour. There is no aircon outside of the room, but during our visit in December, it’s windy, so the heat is bearable. Breakfast ok, kids love it, for adult is ok but not many good options. Need to queue for some time for seatings, advisable to be early to get good seats.

AAzizah Amirah TouhidWe stayed 1 night at PARKROYAL Penang for our honeymoon, and the experience was truly amazing from start to finish.
The hotel upgraded us to a Family Deluxe Sea-Facing Room with garden access, which made our stay extra special and comfortable. During check-in, we were warmly welcomed with fresh flowers and welcome drinks, which immediately set a lovely tone for our honeymoon.
When we entered the room, we were so happy to see beautiful honeymoon towel arrangements with chocolates, such a thoughtful and romantic touch that made us feel celebrated as newlyweds.
One of the best parts of this hotel is that it has direct access to the beach. We had dinner by the beach at Gustoso, and the experience was amazing. The atmosphere was romantic and relaxing, and the food was really good, which made our evening even more memorable.
Breakfast was really good with plenty of choices, and the overall environment of the hotel is stunning, beautiful surroundings, peaceful vibes, and perfect for couples.
Thank you to the team at PARKROYAL Penang for making our honeymoon stay so memorable. We would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for couples celebrating special occasions ❤️

MMochaWang0209I really need to write a detailed review this time, so Chinese friends who are planning to visit have a heads-up~
Pros:
1. Shangri-La's consistently excellent service, which is why I chose it in the first place. The service is still very good, though the Chinese-speaking staff availability was limited. We didn't catch them during check-in or check-out, much less than at the George Town location.
2. The pool is fantastic. Most people were soaking in it to beat the heat. There were plenty of gazebos and lounge chairs. Lots of Caucasians were just sunbathing there.
Now for the cons:
1. A major drawback! From 5:30 AM, loudspeakers start broadcasting religious chanting at an incredibly loud volume, lasting for an hour! It happens during the day too, but it's less noticeable due to other noise. In the morning, it's just too much! And because the building is old, the soundproofing is poor, so it completely wakes you up!
2. The hotel's beach is practically gone... The sea erosion is severe. The beach shown in videos is completely nonexistent now, just a tiny strip. If the tide is low, you can go down, but if it's high, it's a sheer drop-off. The beach is covered with black netting to prevent further erosion, but it doesn't seem to be helping much.
The picture shows the only remaining bit of beach.
柏柏林苍穹下The hotel is located in a very quiet area. The hotel restaurant is good, and there's a covered walkway that crosses the road to the beach. The beach is small but very secluded, and the pool is great, with water play facilities for kids.
GGuest UserIndicated for birthday celebration, ignored remark, no service or extra wow service.
Requested for bouquet to deliver to room upon receive, reception keep it till evening until we call to request and reception request guard to deliver to us.
Overall hotel grade conventional hospitality. No wow service or beach grade 4 stars feel.
Parking need to walk very far to next building of you reach on weekend and if there is event.
Noisy and dirty beach due to abandoned wood branches and no maintenance
GGuest UserStayed at Lone Pine Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, right by the beach and close to Batu Ferringhi attractions, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice balcony view. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the stay. The pool area was well maintained and not overcrowded. Overall, a great place for a quiet beach getaway. Would definitely consider staying again.

MM468605****This hotel was a rebooking after our initial hotel turned out to be terrible.
**Amenities:** The hotel has complete facilities.
**Cleanliness:** It's also very clean.
**Environment:** The environment is nice, and it's very close to the beach; you can just walk down to it. The hotel's swimming pool is also very large.
**Service:** The service is good.
11503216****The environment is fantastic, with a seaside lawn and large trees perfect for lounging – it reminds me a bit of Katathani in Phuket. This kind of setting is a rare find in Penang, and there's not much competition. However, the price is exorbitant; the room definitely isn't worth it. There's a slight woody smell in the room. Initially, I was given the wrong room; I booked a sea view but was given a garden view. Switching rooms wasted a lot of time and caused frustration. I'm not sure if there's an issue with how Ctrip communicates with the hotel, as the room type wasn't in Chinese on the bilingual confirmation. Overall, the hotel service is good, but the breakfast is terrible.
DDenBrejA paradise! The resort is beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail. Everything is very clean, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Every request was fulfilled. The water in the lava stone pools felt incredibly soft on the skin. We received a room upgrade and felt very comfortable in the large, nicely decorated room. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely be back!
