Outside the window is the sea, so you can see Asahi. Is it a little for those who care because there is no room bath? There was no cheek in the public bath, so bring it. The dryer was also in the room. Because the number of rooms is small, I think it will be quiet and calm without banquet guests. The number of breakfast items is small, but it was interesting to eat dried food while baking it yourself.
Kumano-Bettei Nakanoshima
4.7/567 Reviews
We wanted high-end accommodations near Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine and Nachi Falls, and through our research, we figured that Kumano Bettei Nakanoshima is really the only choice in the area. We stayed in a Luxury Deluxe Ocean View Room, which is the second from the top room category (there's only one room in the top category, by the way, and it wasn't available when we tried to book it), and located on the Nagi No Sho wing. It was modern, reasonably stylish and had a good view of the ocean and the peninsula across the way. The view is partially marred by two large green oil reserve containers located on the peninsula directly across the strait, which is unfortunate but not anything that the property can do about. We prefer suites that offer separated bedrooms and living rooms, which this didn't have, and the lack of a large closet forced us to place our rollerboard luggage on the floor in the living room. Aside from that, the main drawback is the fact that the bath is not Onsen (natural hot springs.) In fact, there is only one room (out of 44) that has in-room Onsen, and that's the top room named ”Kihin****su” in the Chomontei Bldg. We have avoided communal baths during the peak of the pandemic (Japan was in its 7th wave at the time we stayed there), but thankfully the property does have a private open-air Onsen bath that guests can rent by the hour - we used it in the afternoon as well as the following morning just prior to check-out. It's a really nice open-air Onsen, and has good views from the bath. The only other drawback is the lack of an in-room dining option - all meals are served in the main restaurant. The ryokan has a handful of ”ko****su” private dining rooms, which we reserved for both of our meals, but unfortunately, it's not fully enclosed.... the noise from the main dining area pierced through the ceiling-less ”private room” in a big way, especially during dinner, when some drunk guests were yelling at a very high decibel. Food wise, it was really good. Given its location, Kumano Bettei Nakanoshima has its pick of the litter, including ”Nama Maguro,” which is local tuna that never gets frozen prior to being served. It's often made in a cutlet style in the area, and that's what we got for dinner. They also served Grilled Abalone (on the shell) with butter, another delicacy, as well as a variety of other seafood caught fresh from the nearby Katsuura port. While not the most creative of meals, it didn't need to be, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food on offer at the property. Service is a strong point. Everyone was courteous and warm, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience at the property. The personal touch is not easy to pull off at a property with a (relatively) high room count - we were impressed. That said, I don't think they were even at half occupancy, so that may have had something to do with the high service level. Regardless, everyone from the manager to the front desk staff to the wait staff were personable,
Hotel Newpalace

It is about 5 minutes walk through the street that is not vibrant like the shutter street in front of shingu station. I didn't have much expectations, but when the hotel approached, the building was clean and this was quite good. The first floor is mainly a parking lot (there are other parking lots), and the front desk is on the third floor. There is a feeling of cleanliness at the front desk with a considerable size. I think the staff is also great. The room was on the 5th floor, but I was surprised to enter the room. The room has an area of more than 20 square meters and is relaxing. The step is between the boards. It is a double and semi-double twin bed in the back. If the bath in the room is also large, and I thought I would put it loose, there is also a large bath on the 3 floor. The large bath is large and the bathtub alone can put about 10 people loosely. The washroom is also equipped with a partition wall, and about 10 people can be used at a time. Breakfast was also rich in number of items and provided us with enough satisfaction. There are Kumano Hayatama Taisha shrine and kamikura Jinja shrine nearby, so it is also convenient to visit Kumano Sanzan. I stayed at various national hotels, but it was an impressive hotel including Cospa.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel! The view from our room was amazing and we particularly enjoyed the private onsen, which allowed us to unwind while watching the stunning sunset. The staff were all very friendly and polite, which made our stay even better. However, the hotel's location is next to the beach, which means you have to climb a slope to get there. It is also quite far from the JR station, and the only public transportation available is a 30-minute bus ride. Additionally, there are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so you might want to plan ahead for meals.

Two bemols: the shuttle has placed us on a parking station and not at the station what forced us to run to have our train, the restaurant is a buffet where everyone seems to do anything.

1. Location: Right next to Wakayama City Station, 1 minute walk, super close! 2. Environment: A little old, but everything is there; 3. Price: Economical and affordable. Compared with similar products, it is quite cheap. I am traveling alone, and I feel that it is quite cost-effective for a rough guy like me.
Kamenoi Hotel Kii-Tanabe

I searched for a hot spring inn by the seaside where I could stop by. There is no ♨️ on the map, you can pump it from the basement, and you want to stay at the hot spring! Here, ”Tenjin Onsen / Tanabe Motoyu” is a power-up hot spring, and the spring temperature 31 ℃, pH7.2, and sodium / hydrocarbon salt spring are listed in the composition analysis table of the posting. The room was a deep inn with Japanese, Western, wide and narrow, various dishes, and a single plan without meals. All rooms have ocean views, and the room I stayed in is single. Feel free to stay without meals and feel like a business hotel. A housing complex was built in the old Mera fishing port, and Motoshima was connected by a breakwater, and it seems that ferries and fishing boats passed just beyond the wave-extinguishing block like a waterway. Isn't there a few hotels so close to the sea? It was raining when I arrived, but it was Satsuki in the middle of the night. I wanted to capture a large ship passing through the Kii Waterway far away, but I fell asleep someday. When I look at it in the morning, the leaves of Motoshima Tree 々 are white. It seems that various bird droppings have fallen. By the way, when I opened it from the window, I heard a cry even in the middle of the night.
Wakayama Kada Onsen Kada Kaigetsu (ex. Azumaya Seaside Hotel)
4.6/582 Reviews
This ryokan is located in front of the Osaka Bay in the small bourgeoisie of Kada, 100 mts from the very beautiful sanctuary of Awashima-Jinja and 400 mts from the shipper for Tomogashima. A ship is made available by ryokan to travel to Kada station (Nankai line) to go and come to Wakayama city. The Japanese style rooms (tatamis on the ground, futons and hyper moulded couettes) are very spacious with a loggia with a XLL view of the sea and the Tomogashima and Jinoshima islands, especially for the sea side rooms. The dinner and breakfast, as well as the Japanese as it is due in a ryokan (traditional Japanese hostel), are a real pleasure for eyes and papillae. The service is courteous and careful, the charm of the atmosphere slightly over the year of the places operates. And of course, the onsen (Japanese public bath with hot source) indispensable for any person staying in the hotel is great with impressive view of the sea !!! It is a budget, but the situation, quality of service, the map proposed and the sense of investment is justified.
Hotel Route Inn Hashimoto

Hashimoto City? It is rude to say that it is unexpected from the ramen shop to the rotary sushi shop within walking distance, including the business hotel and the tavern in the premises, but the restaurant is arranged, and the location is quite good. There are also large baths, vending machines, coin laundry and happy facilities when traveling. I was worried that there were not many storage when I stayed overnight, but there were tables and sofas that I could work on a personal computer, so I could recommend it for business use. The staff was kind and it was a hotel that I wanted to use in Koyasan sightseeing.
