Overall, I felt the hotel was very nicely done with great local touches while still keeping an international atmosphere. I also wanted to point out the great flexibility of the hotel, allowing me to change my meal reservations from 3 dinners at Elements (I was on a package deal) to one at Elements and combining the remaining two meals at Elements to a dinner at Atelier. This allowed me to not have to dine at the same restaurant as well as opening up a slot for me to explore a local restaurant. However, there were two things that I'd like to point out that the hotel can improve upon. The first is the staffing at the club lounge (and in general) is not enough. There were many moments where I was left to wait, to the point where using standard facilities (like the check-in counter, or breakfast at Elements) would have been a more positive experience. Breakfast on 12/21 was where the understaffing really showed, where it took over an hour to complete breakfast; many guests left in the middle of their meal since service was horribly slow. However, the second point us what I would really want the hotel to work on - CoVID countermeasures. Largely, two things I'd like to point out. (1) Temperature screening us inconsistent. I was checked when I first arrived, but never anytime afterwards (or should I say, the thermometer station was unmanned). (2) During my meal at Atelier, my wife and I noticed that the staff (He was Italian, I think his name is Marco?) preparing the dishes (in the open kitchen) prepping a sauce, tasting it with the same spoon which was quickly rinsed it under the faucet and returned into the mixing bowl. I pointed this out to one of the servers (Japanese male, responsible for serving and explaining the dishes). This is where I felt the hotel can improve on - in detail, three things. (i) The Japanese server proceeded to quietly scold the staff in front of me, I felt that was not a great experience both for myself and the staff. (ii) Nothing was cleared. After the scolding (and then the staff responding back that he did not put the spoon back in) none of the utensils were changed and no follow up. I guess there is no trust in what a customer points out. And finally (iii) I felt that this is at the fault of the hotel for not putting in proper operation guidelines.A person putting together a meal will need to taste it, to make sure it's good. If the hotel were to put in operational guidelines to ensure tasting can be done while still making it very obvious that it is hygienic, I would not have to be writing this email. Needless to say, our dinner experience was ruined that night. I actually shared the above comment with IHG Guest Relations (on 25 Dec), which the agent was extremely prompt on getting back to me and assured that I would get a response back from the hotel about it within 48 hours. Unfortunately, the hotel never contacted me. I then asked guest relations again (on 5 Jan) to follow up with th

Travel with a group of friends to Beppu but only 4 of us decided to stay at Amanek for 2 nights. This was the best decision ever as we were closed to the JR station, eateries, Tokiwa shopping mall, Donki and the beach were within walking distance. Only few staff could speak English. Those who speak Japanese only also try their best to serve the guest. I am impressed by how clean and new the whole hotel is. Best of all, I love the free flow of juices & beverages. You could also do take away in the UCC coffee disposible cup. Love the choice of either western or local breakfast with free flow of side dishes. I am surprised by how big the bedroom is and spacious bathroom. The gym equipment tho basic, are new & in good condition. The onsen is clean & modern & I love the warm rooftop pool with an awesome view! Amanek is thoughtful to provide guest with a basket to hold all your onsen needs. Upon check out, I was overcharged for my 2 days of breakfast. The staff was quick to rectify the problem & refunded me on the spot. Yes, would definitely stay in Amanek again in my next visit to Beppu! Thank you for the awesome stay!

Really enjoyed this unique hotel that has a mix of art, onsen, great views and decent food. The room (419) was not luxurious but was well designed, the balcony overlooked the extraordinary landscape that is Beppu, the greatest feature was the semi open-air onsen bath facilitated by the floor to ceiling windows, connected to the generous deck space. It was fun to walk around the gallery space and admire the interesting architecture, color palettes, and exhibits championing Beppu culture, landscape, flora, fauna etc. Sitting in the Peak restaurant for dinner, I was amused that one of the waitstaff was a robot that ferried food and empty dishes back and forth. Dinner was laid-back, had a window side seat that allowed me to enjoy the city glitter below. My stay here was at a fraction of another Beppu hotel on this trip, in many ways I enjoyed this place more and would not hesitate to come back.

The location is about 7 minutes on foot from Beppu Station, and other accommodations are in the same location, so it's not a big problem. In terms of facilities, it's clean and well-maintained overall, but the disappointing thing is that the public bath is smaller than expected, and the family bath that you can use for 1,000 yen is written as 1 hour, but in reality, you can only use it for 45 minutes, which was disappointing. Dinner and breakfast were so delicious, and when I came back after eating, I was surprised to see that the bed was laid out, but it felt good to be treated well. Overall, I was satisfied. I also tried on a yukata, which was really nice.

I spent my first two hours doing what I haven’t done for almost three years, driving along the snaking roads in Japan. Arriving at Amane Seikai you feel euphoric, the seafood kaiseiki wasn’t the best, but the sake was good, and I was still giddy from seeing the spacious (1776 sq feet) junior suite with its own ocean view pool, jacuzzi, open-air onsen bath. “Room” 230 is in the new wing (according to my booking.com description), the apartment/room is not especially stylish, except for one little bottle of water and some coffee/tea, the mini bar and fridge were empty, but it has a spectacular view and you’ll still get your ocean view from bed and feel the constant gravitational pull of your private open-air onsen. I got up at 6ish just to catch the first rays of sunlight and to listen to the sound of the waves. Last but not least, the staff that checked me in was really nice and spoke perfect English ( coz he is from Nebraska ☺️)

I stayed in a Japanese room in the earth building with three families with four years old children. Until I went, I was worried because there were many bad evaluations about the oldness of cooking, customer service and facilities in the kuchikomi, but it was a very good inn when I actually went. I think you can see my past reviews, but I realize that it is tough for evaluation. It was an inn that I was very satisfied and wanted to give a high evaluation without regret. < Good point > The bath is the best than anything. The 6 floor has a good view, but the bath itself is normal and there is no special point to note. Recommended is the bath on the 1 floor. Very large open-air bath is worth it alone. There was also a bath that bubbled like a hot water or a Jacuzzi, and the child was very happy. The dishes were above average. Of course, there are many inns that make better dishes, but there is no misfortune like the bad review. First of all, is the dish that has been devised half and the dish that is a little disappointing half? I think it is higher than the average if I think about the price. The sashimi criticized by multiple kuchikomi was also covered with film so that the timing of the meal was perfect at 々. The dining room and corridor were renewed and very bright and modern. The room was old, but it was cleanly maintained and there was no inconvenience. The service was very good for most staff. Especially the elderly female staff were very friendly, polite and nice. The room was a Japanese room with a main 12 tatami mats and a large enough size with a plus front room. Above all, it was an outstanding view of Beppu city and Beppu Bay. The room with a good view up to this is a level that is not very memorable. It may vary depending on the room to stay, but at least the earth building seems to be equipped with all rooms facing Beppu Bay, so you should enjoy the same view. By the way, it was on the 9th floor. Wifi was flying for each room and the speed was fast. < bad point > the attitude of the male staff at the receptionist (a little older) was worried. There is also a review of another person, but even if you ask questions that you don't know, you can read them because they are written on paper. Especially, there was a time margin, not the situation where the next person was waiting and crowded, but it was a pretty cold response. Other than this, it was generally warm and comfortable. In the unrenewed part, the oldness of the facility was visible. The corridor to the hot spring on the first floor and the back side of the building visible from the window. However, it is not dirty or uncomfortable just saying old. It was a little troublesome that there were few towels. Bath towels and hand towels are one piece per person. Is this it? I thought it was a very good inn overall. I think the bad reviews of the past are being properly viewed and improved. Or is it a harassment from the same business? (I didn't think it was particularly problematic this time) I recommend it with confidence.

Cospa is good! This inn can be recommended to anyone. It is natural that you can receive a satisfactory service if you pay a high amount, but this inn was more satisfying than the price. One person / 15500 yen I stayed in a Japanese-style room with 8 tatami mats on the sea side. Since it is on the sea side, the view of the room was very good and it was a Japanese-style room, but it was a relaxing room with a sofa. (This is a photo of the view from the room) The meal was also a room meal, and the local food was eaten. Although it was cheap, the sashimi was delicious. Until the last dessert, it was voluminous and satisfying. The hot springs were a little old and dark in the large communal bath, but the quality of the springs was very good and I felt good. The customer service is not very good because it is cheap. It is better not to expect a welcome or a see-off. You can stay at a hot spring inn with a good view with room meals for 15,000 yen. It's wonderful.

It has the highest number of hot spring sources and the highest amount of hot spring water in Japan. Among them, eight hot spring villages with a long history (Hamawaki Onsen, Beppu Onsen, Kankaiji Onsen, Hotta Onsen, Myoban Onsen, Kannawa Onsen, Shibaseki Onsen, Kamegawa Onsen) are called Beppu Hatto. The [Ryotei Matsubaya] where I stayed this time is located in the Kankaiji Onsen area, one of the eight hot springs of Beppu. The inn is located on the slope of a mountain on the west side of Beppu City, on a hill where you can see the mountains on the west side and Beppu City and Beppu Bay on the east side. The inn was located on a steep slope with no shops nearby, so we needed a car to go out after arriving at the inn. [Ryotei Matsubaya] has two types of guest rooms: the old building [Oka no Sou], which has 10 standard rooms, and the new building [Tsuki no Sou], which has 8 guest rooms. The new building [Tsuki no Sou] has three types of guest rooms, [Stylish Modern], [Japanese Modern], and [Maisonette], which are oriented towards a new ryokan style. The accommodation fee is slightly higher than the Japanese and Western style rooms [Oka no Sou]. It is set. This time, we stayed in the [Maisonette] type in the new building [Tsuki no Sou]. Prices vary slightly depending on the season, but the cost of accommodation this time was 48,000 yen per person, per night, including two meals. The maisonette-type guest room is 100 square meters in size, with a living room and Japanese-style room on the lower floor, and a daybed sofa next to the window. There are chairs on the balcony where you can relax while looking out over Beppu city. There is a twin bedroom on the upper floor, an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and honestly it was too big for two people to stay in. From the room and open-air bath, you can see Beppu city and the tourist attraction Global Tower right in front of you, and beyond that you can see Beppu Tower and Beppu Bay. The night view also looked beautiful. Apparently you can't see much of a view from [Oka no Sou]. The open-air bath on the upper floor can be accessed directly from the indoor bath, and is about the size of two tatami mats. It is installed on the balcony, but there is a partition to hide it, so you don't have to worry about it being seen from other places. In addition to the open-air baths in the rooms, there are five shared hot spring baths in Tsuki no Sou and Oka no Sou, all of which can be used free of charge without reservations. Types of baths are: Private open-air bath••••••2 Private semi-open-air bath•••1 Indoor family bath••••••1 Large public bath (separate for men and women)••••1 Common bath available Time: 15:00-24:00 06:00-08:00 the next morning (some baths can be used until 09:00) I took a bath in one of the private semi-open-air baths [Yakushi no Yu], which is carved out of a large monolith. It was a very large bath that could accommodate about 10 people. From the bath, I was able to see the beautiful night view of Beppu. The hot springs were very pleasant to the touch, but the temperature of the hot springs was quite high, so I had to add water to cool them down before I could enter. Meals are served in the building's dining area both in the morning and in the evening. It's a semi-private room, so you can eat slowly without worrying about other people watching you. The menu for this dinner is as follows: ●Seasonal platter ●Clam shinjo ●Sashimi of spiny lobster and seki mackerel ●Stone-grilled abalone ●Simmered Japanese beef tail and radish ●New bamboo shoots Shrimp with cherry leaves Namafu Fried rice ●Seafood Salad ●Japanese black beef with sesame sauce Warabi Bamboo shoots Sokatsu ●White rice Pickles ●Fruit salad Sakuramochi Each dish was served with seafood from the Bungo Channel and from the mountains of Oita, so each dish was delicious without getting cold. The breakfast had a wide variety of items and I was able to choose between rice or porridge and it was delicious. ●Location: Approximately 10 minutes by car from JR Beppu Station ●Check-in: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM ●Check-out: 11:00 AM ●Spring quality: Colorless and transparent simple spring ●Efficacy: Neuralgia, muscle pain, recovery from fatigue, Arthralgia, motor paralysis, health promotion Frozen shoulders, sensitivity to cold, chronic digestive diseases, joint stiffness ●Source temperature: 65℃ ●Bath temperature: Natural source water. Water is added for temperature adjustment ●Five shared baths ●Parking for about 10 cars ●Rooms: 8 rooms [Tsuki no Sou] 10 rooms [Oka no Sou] ●Facilities: Wi-Fi available ●Pets not allowed My impressions after staying in the city are As someone who lives here, it feels like I'm staying in a somewhat stylish apartment, but I wonder if the room has the atmosphere of a Japanese inn or a hot spring inn. That's what I thought. However, this is just a matter of personal preference, so I think it's a great place to stay with your family, with an attached open-air bath, a large room with a great view, 5 shared and private hot springs, and delicious food. The old building has also been renovated and renovated, so please choose the room that suits your taste. This inn is located halfway up a small mountain on the outskirts of Beppu city. The location is not suitable for going out at night, so we recommend it for those who want to finish sightseeing before checking in and spend the night relaxing at the inn. The values, tastes, and sensibilities of traveling vary from person to person. You can't rely on other people's preferences, including mine, and you can't rely on travel site reviews at all. One of the joys of traveling is finding an accommodation of your choice based on the candid opinions of people who write reviews. Beppu has good hot springs and many attractions. Please visit Beppu once.

Pros: Stayed at Room 203 meant for 5 person… Spacious and comfortable room! Had a window too! Good soundproofing between rooms. Only could hear passing by of trains while awake, so wasn’t a big an issue to us. TV has YouTube and Netflix to watch! Cons: No lift!!! We had to carry our heavy & big luggages to the 2nd floor! *Should indicate shortage of this important facility in the booking system! Only 2 parking spaces for 7 units. *Should also indicate in the booking system that parking spaces are first come first served and have to park at nearby paying car parks if both were being taken up. Will be nice to provide some garbage bags in the room as clearing of food waste from the room was definitely necessary during the many days of our stay! Dining table (super wobbly and one side of the table legs seemed like giving away very soon) needs to changed/repaired instantly!

It was on the high ground and the city of Beppu was overlooked. I was very satisfied with the room grading or the influence of the corona, and the rental bath was also free. Maybe it's an old hotel, but it's beautifully renovated and comfortable. Just the toilet and bath in the room, is it a bubble? I was worried that it was an old design (cleaning was done). The meal was also okay even if the children were noisy in the private room, and the meal was once served due to the influence of the corona, but I was grateful because I could eat it before the child started to get tired. The temperature of the hot spring was also pleasant and the best.

Excellent
NNin YuThe location is convenient, there is a supermarket just outside the door, and there are enough fruits and food, and it stays at night. There are many places to eat nearby. The back street is the ”Youyong Bakery” shop, and the location is quiet. The room facilities are well maintained, the air conditioner is cold enough, and the rooms are spacious. There is enough space for children to move around in the earthen room. I like the Zhangtai the most. It is no problem to have a big meal and play toys with the children 👍🏻, and it is equipped with a kitchen Very suitable for families with children. Cleaning was done very well. It is recommended to improve the following two issues: 1. The soundproofing is really poor. It’s noisy even when walking upstairs at night. 2. Self-service check-in service. No relevant information is received before arrival, and there is no way to contact hotel staff. Fortunately, I immediately contacted Trip.com and it was resolved quickly. I hope this situation can be improved.

CChi ManI didn't know it was an unmanned hotel when I booked. I didn't send me the check-in information when I checked in, which caused the check-in time to take a long time. Then there is no elevator, which surprised me! To carry the suitcase and take the stairs! The room is also clean, the kitchen has a variety of utensils is very convenient, and the room also has a washing machine. But the shower originally had to open the hot water stove by itself, and I also found the switch for a while. Not very busy nearby, but there is donki to visit. The nearby Korean garden stew is delicious.

BBreadThe hotel is very close to Beppu Station, about a 5-minute walk away, but check-in is a bit troublesome. I don't think I need to confirm with the hotel beforehand. The hotel will send me the check-in voucher code again, so I have to wait on the street in the cold weather. Fortunately, I contacted trip.com and the staff responded immediately, but it took me 20-30 minutes to get into the hotel. It was a very bad experience😢😢😢😢

MMIHO.c9Some people live normally like an apartment hotel! The parking lot is numbered and 3.4.5 can be parked! You need to enter the number to enter the entrance! I didn't know the number, so I called and heard it! And you need a number to enter the room! Maybe the two numbers were written in the email. I don't know, but I've erased my email. and i finally put in the phone again. but check in ipad! here, ID, phone number, precheck in You can choose, you can't enter the phone number. Call again Listen to the ID and enter. The bet is a double bet with 3 wide 々☆ Kitchen supplies are dishes, cups, spoons, forks, chopsticks There was a range and a pot! The bath had shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath towel and towel. no towels to wash your body. and the rubber packing on the door I couldn't clean it and there was garbage in the corner. The corner of the bath is a little pink. The washing surface has a toothbrush set and hand soap. Washing machine, washing machine, dryer もあり Convenient! but i stopped by the dryer's filter clog. Looking at the filter, it's a bitch! It's layered, so take it and dry it. The toilet has a big dust in the gap of the lid. The toilet bowl was beautiful. I used it with my family, I relaxed in the room, I just went to bed Thank you for staying at this amount.

JjcsjtuThe second stop of the trip to Kitakyushu in Japan came to the Grand Bese Beppu Hotel (Grand Base Beppu). The hotel is about 700m from Beppu Station and within walking distance. The hotel is apartment-type, with a full set of kitchen equipment, washing machine, etc. The room is large, there are three beds, two big and one small, can accommodate 5 people, the toiletries are very simple, there are towels and toothbrushes. The most important thing to say is that this is a completely self-check-in and check-out hotel, no waiter is visible, and the door is closed, there is a password to enter, and the self-check-in window (a video interactive screen) is located inside. The most critical question is, if you book the hotel on Trip.com, should you give me (received) an access code and registration for check-in, and then get a room password after successful registration. However, Trip.com did not give me any passwords and instructions or tips from the beginning to the end (mail/sMS). It was not until I arrived at the door that I found out that this is a fully self-service hotel. I carefully read the English and Japanese instructions at the door and knew that I needed to register. I left a contact number. Under the rogue, I am ready to start the international long-distance contact with the hotel (by the way, if I don’t understand Japanese or English, it’s really annoying). After entering the door, I got the access code and communicated the checkin method after entering the door, and obtained the registration code. Waiting for nearly half an hour. The contact (expended an additional fee of RMB nearly 30 yuan) finally completed the stay of 2 rooms. In this case, it is completely Ctrip's responsibility!

FFafa chu WongIf you book this B&B on this platform, please pay careful attention. There is no reception desk, and this platform will not take the initiative to help you find a bridge to ask the owner. Therefore, you must take the initiative to ask the customer service a day in advance. What is the password at the door? I only found out when I arrived. Buffet. But no one, including customer service, notified me. I was waiting for the email from customer service and the owner with the password, and finally waited for 30 minutes before entering the hotel. Really wasting my time. I think it's a plus that this B&B has a washing machine, and the bed is comfortable. There is no big problem with the bathroom either. Just when you enter the door, I suggest you take the initiative to ask customer service for the password.

AAnonymous UserIf you make a reservation on Trip.com, you don't seem to receive a guide. I visited without knowing the password for check-in. I made a call while writing a phone bill, but someone who can only speak Japanese received a call. It was too uncomfortable to know the password. I didn't know how to connect to Wi-Fi. Other than that, the rest was satisfied. Location facilities are satisfactory
