Apartments in Watford

Really nice and clean. Great beds. Plenty of room. Good shower. Perfect location. Polite staff. Value for money. Close to Warner Brothers and shopping centre. We only stayed a night and hardly touched down but it was great. I will always wonder why every hotel puts out just two teabags though 🤣

A very good hotel. Close to the town centre and shopping. Easy to park. Food and service excellent. Rooms clean and all public areas warm, welcoming and well maintained. No air conditioning but not a problem even on a hot day. Fan provided in the room and plenty space in the family room so didn't feel hot or stuffy. The staff were exceptional, every one of them. They were welcoming and very efficient. At meal times they were constantly moving around, cleaning and keeping tables clear. They were amazing. Please do thank them.

My line manager had booked the room for me as my IHG account wasn’t approved yet by my GM and I was greeted by Zahr if I spelt that right, I do apologise if I’ve spelt that wrong, he was very friendly, he did his job by trying to figure out if I was an employee of holiday inn, which he did his checks and my information had come back correct, I left earlier that night and come back and I was still greeted with a friendly welcome from him. It’s been a pleasure to stay with the holiday inn, my room was cleaned to perfection and I’ve had no issues, Zahr deserves to be employee of the month if that’s a thing here. The hotel has complete facilities and a quiet environment. It can be reached in 5 minutes, and the main street where restaurants are located. It only takes 2 minutes longer to go to a large modern shopping mall, and the hotel staff are polite.

This hotel is right next to Watford Junction station - an easy walk round the corner. (Check on google maps and take the short cut rather than walk along main road). The hotel seems clean and modern. It is obviously very popular with people visiting WB studios (which is what we were doing). Stayed in a family room set up for 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 4). The beds for the children are the usual budget hotel foldaway types and not very sturdy but fine for one night. The room was generally clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good with a moderate selection (not as wide a selection as Premier Inn but fine for fueling up before heading off to WB). The WB shuttle bus goes from outside the station so a 3 min walk back to the bus stop. Overall a perfectly adequate and well located budget option for WB stay. We came on the train from across London. If we had come in the car I would have chosen something outside of the town centre. If you are travelling with kids and hoping to eat out in the evening after you get here (which we didn't) then you've got a bit of a walk back to the main part of town with the shopping centre and chain restaurants. The only annoying thing about the stay was the noise at night - and it had nothing to do with the railway! We were woken up by talking and doors banging in the corridor a couple of times. Whether or not it was because our room had a connecting door to another room I don't know but someone's alarm went off at 4.45am and it sounded like it was in our room. Whichever poor person had such an early start on a Friday then proceeded to get showered and dressed in a rather loud fashion and felt the need to constantly talk loudly to the rest of the people in that room. That's not the hotel's fault of course but bear in mind this is a budget hotel and the sound proofing is minimal.

Ww have just returned home after a two bight stay here. We had a great time although the room was exceptionally hot. All staff were helpful there and on the brewyers fayre next door. The only down side is there is a free phone direct to a taxi service. We were there to go to harry potter studios. We booked a taxi for 9.15 in the morning and it arrived at 9.50 jot a good start. We were charged 25.00 for the taxi which we did not think was bad considering the distance and it being london. When we called a taxi from harry potter studios to get back we were only charged 13.50 wow what a difference in price for exactly the same journey. Take our advice do not use the free phone in premier inn its a rip off

Quick booking we arrived at 7pm had to check-in at the reception next door holiday inn very quick and smooth, was confused as its within the hotel itself and opened the doing to a beautiful spacious apartment we bought food from a local restaurant was lovely to eat and use the kitchen with a dishwasher too! The bed was huge but rock hard... the only thing we disliked was the stifling heat absolutely no air and no air conditioning whatsoever! There was a tower fan and a normal fan provided but didn't make any difference whatsoever although it was July it was torrential rain outside English weather so wasn't hot outside I had to have 3 showers and kept having to go outside during the night to get air , didn't have a comfortable sleep whatsoever and tge fans on all night long either side of the bed with the windows open only around a cm because that's as far as they would go, but if there was aircon this would of been my favourite stay ever ,the local shops restaurants and town centre is a 10 min walk away and parking is £8 per night even with a disability badge. Your able to use the facilities in hotel for food and drinks but we used the local restaurants nearby and used the fridge for our own bought alcohol because it was raining outside... staff was above and beyond.
