Brit Hotel Notre Dame

We stayed here for one night as we were in town for the Women’s World Cup. We had a dedicated parking space around the corner from the hotel and found paid street parking for our second vehicle - there were six of us staying in total. It was very hot when we stayed - 35 degrees - and being an old building there is no air conditioning. But the rooms were cool and the curtains and windows had been closed to keep out the sun. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us good advice on local restaurants and landmarks. The breakfast wasn’t great - pastries and fruit which was fine - but there was also a dish of bacon lardons and another of (a kind of) scrambled egg. Neither looked particularly appetising and the 9 Euro’s price seemed a tad steep for something so basic. Other than that though the whole experience was very good. The best bit about the breakfast was being able to eat in the pretty little back garden in the sunshine.

Don’t be put off by the outward appearance and location in an industrial area. This hotel has really comfy clean rooms, great nights sleep. Great value for an overnight stopover. Magiella (not sure of spelling) receptionist was really friendly and helpful.
Royal Hainaut Spa & Resort Hotel

I wanted to love this place! I wouldn’t have traveled to the middle of nowhere had I thought I would have had un unsatisfactory visit. My expectation was to have a relaxing spa weekend. I went directly to the spa for my first service after check in. The staff were very warm and friendly but I was very disappointed with the facial. I paid 110€ basically for mud to sit and dry on my face for an hour. No shoulder massage during. After the spa was dinner time. I emailed 4 days before my arrival for a reservation. I was told to wait 30 min when I arrived there was only one other table. The food was another disappointment but based on other reviews I read this wasn’t a big surprise. I started with a cold eggplant parmigiana really lacking flavor, the pasta was a heavy butter sauce overly salty. Well, time for a good nights rest. I tuck into my suit which I paid to for an upgrade. The bed was too firm for my backs liking. I woke the next day with a painful back I thought I would go to the spa for a massage but based on the previous day thought I would be left with another disappointment. I decided to call it quits and check out early. As a compensation to not leave I was offered a complimentary cheese board. I really didn’t feel like stuffing myself with cheese after this disappointing stay so I left the cheese behind packed my bags and headed out of town. Overall, the hotel has potential to be great. The renovations were beautifully done. Perhaps lacking a bit of soul with the decorations but with proper management and design a well trained spa team it could be great. Wish you the best but this time was a big flop.
Hôtel Baudouin

We came to spend a few days in Valencia that we love very much. We chose a kitchenette room so that we do not have to take our breakfast at the hotel because of the price and always for the same reason so that we do not have to go to the restaurant at noon and evening. But in the kitchenette there is nothing but a boiler, but no cup, a refrigerator, a microwave, but no vessel, even no small stick or glass, no cooking plate, so we pay more for a service than we have, so we should come with a cooker plate, vacuum, spoon, torchons, maintenance products .... There is the refrigerator we had to cut because even if we had brought aperitif, there is no it had only tooth-shoes and above all it makes a terrible noise. The rooms are trist, under the roofs, zinc, no air conditioning, toilet/sdbain air conditioning: HS, no mosquitoes therefore not possible to open, HS head lamp not possible to repair, so impossible to read the evening when my husband was asleep. The staff is very friendly and the staff is very friendly. We are very disappointed and especially not appreciating having paid for this fake kitchenette, we had to reduce (3nuits/6) our stay because it was too expensive because of the restaurant we couldn't do.
Grand Hotel de Valenciennes

The location of the hotel is quite good, just a few dozen meters across the train station. The city is small, the hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the city center, and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel room is large in Europe and France, and the price is higher. The suite I stayed in was a bit pleasantly surprised. For travelers who stay for a short day or two, this is a good choice.
Premiere Classe Valenciennes Sud - Rouvignies

The staff is very good, the problem comes rather from the aspect of the building and the room. The glass door of the host is sparkled, the main light of the room does not work and a renovation would not hurt (ground, walls, ...qui must be original, just as the door and window, I have checked several times that they were closed well, so the lowest noise outside was hearable in the room. Despite this, the room is very clean; the bathroom also. Therefore, it is acceptable, especially given the low price
