"We absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City. The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions. What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere. A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of. Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases. For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us. Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨"

"The room was neat and clean with a beautiful view. The service was excellent; the owner helped us with our itinerary and even gave my family anti-chafing patches when he heard their feet were hurting. He also helped us with our luggage, going up and down multiple times – he really worked hard! The service was very attentive. The location is convenient, close to Erhai Lake, and there's an electric scooter rental shop nearby if you want to rent one to cycle around the lake. The breakfast was delicious; my family all enjoyed it very much."

"The treasure homestay dug by Chuxiong trip, after living directly, must give five stars! As soon as I entered the door, I was pinched ✨ The antique Chinese courtyard is too charming. The corridors of carved beams and painted buildings, scattered green plants, and even the details are hidden in the Oriental aesthetics. The New Year decoration of the Year of the Horse is warm and festive, and there is no perfunctory feeling at all, and the whole is warmed up. The room is even more pleasantly surprised! The design of tatami is clean and healing, the wooden furniture is warm and textured, the lighting is superb, and the large windows directly frame the ancient city street view into a painting. Tea tables, scorpions, and projections are all available. Whether it is sitting around with friends and drinking tea or watching a movie, it is comfortable to not want to go out. The sensor lights of the stairs and the wooden decoration of the whole house are all carefully decorated, and every detail is full of security. The public area is also super stylish, calligraphy hanging paintings, circle chairs, and rocking chairs near the window. It is comfortable to stay in a daze, read a book, and bask in the sun. The location is even more amazing, just in the core area of the ancient city, the streets are full of fireworks when you go out, it is super convenient to go shopping and eat, quiet in the middle of noisy, and it will not be noisy at all. From the environment to the details, from the atmosphere to the experience, I stepped on my heart perfectly! Come to Chuxiong to live in a homestay, choose this one without stepping on thunder, I have recommended it to all friends who are coming, and I will stay here next time! 💯"

"The butler service was excellent; they helped with luggage. The surrounding environment was quiet, the rooms were spacious, and there was even a balcony, perfect for having late-night snacks or listening to music. There's a kitchen and dining area in the common areas. It's about 600 meters from the community gate, making it ideal for those driving."

"My mom and I came to Lijiang, and I booked this hotel on a whim the day before we left. I never expected it would lead to such a wonderful experience! This was my first time visiting Yunnan, and I fell in love with the place, largely thanks to staying at such a comfortable hotel. The location is quite easy to find, right on the square in Yuhu Village, so you don't have to walk a lot on cobblestone paths, and it's also very convenient for catching a taxi. **Environment:** Waking up every day and opening the curtains to see the snow-capped mountains was truly healing. You can enjoy the snow mountain view from the guest rooms, the courtyard, and the restaurant. The hotel has been open for a while, but the facilities are well-maintained. The only minor issue was that the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, and a slight drawback was that some of the essential oil bottles for the aromatherapy activity were empty. I hope they can be refilled promptly. **Service:** The front desk staff were very welcoming. When we couldn't find a certain photo spot, they shared their location and came to guide us. I participated in the evening tea ceremony around the fireplace for three consecutive nights. It wasn't crowded, but the atmosphere was great, with warm roasted milk, local specialty rice sausages, and Erkuai (rice cakes), plus some snacks to munch on. Chatting by the fire with the front desk lady and the local Naxi ethnic minority male staff member was delightful; all the staff had really pleasant personalities, which made it very enjoyable. Personally, I think staying here is much quieter and more pleasant than staying in the ancient town. I highly recommend it to friends who prefer a slower pace of travel and don't like crowds! I hope to come back for a second visit during mushroom picking season or the Torch Festival!"

"Unbeknownst to me, this has become my most tranquil home in Lijiang. Counting it up, for 7 consecutive years, I've stayed here at least twice a year. It's long ceased to be just a place to stay; it's truly become my home in this city. What I admire most is the meticulous attention to detail that has stood the test of time. After a full 7 years of staying here, the various equipment and facilities in the rooms show absolutely no signs of aging or wear and tear. Especially the thoughtful amenities in the bathroom, they still maintain the same quality and comfort as the first time I saw them. This level of dedicated maintenance is truly rare and commendable. Every time I push open the courtyard gate, that familiar scent of white flowers immediately envelops me, gently embracing me. And standing on the terrace, gazing out at the distant Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, seeing that eternal and magnificent scenery, brings a profound sense of peace and security. Of course, what keeps me coming back most is the attentive care from Anna and Lao Ai. Over the years, our relationship has long transcended that of landlord and guest; they are as kind and warm as family. I genuinely love it here, and whenever I come to Lijiang, I will only choose to return to this little courtyard that feels like my own."

"After the trip, I finally have time to write a review of the accommodation. The location of the hotel in the villa area is also very easy to find, and the staff will greet you at the door. I originally booked a room with floor-to-ceiling windows on the first floor, but later I upgraded the room. I am super grateful to the lady~ The hotel as a whole is very textured, with details everywhere. It is really the most satisfactory accommodation in the whole trip! ! In addition, the service is too considerate, afternoon tea, sweet porridge in the evening, a hearty breakfast, and a gift for leaving the store. The boss is really running the business with heart. If you are hesitant when you see this homestay, you might as well give it a try. You will definitely not be disappointed! (I am really not a shill, I really recommend it! !"

"Located in a residential complex, the front desk staff came out to collect our luggage as soon as we parked. We checked in quickly and were taken to our room. The balcony was a nice touch, but beware of mosquitoes. The room was quite comfortable, with a sofa. However, because it's so close to Dianchi Lake, you can hear the sounds from the late-night snack stalls. If you need extra quiet, be careful not to stay near the road. But it's certainly close to Dianchi Lake. As for breakfast, it was beautiful, and it was a lovely experience to eat in the garden. Also, takeout is convenient and the food is delicious."

"Its a lovely place, not a bad location and if you get lucky with the weather it'll be a fantastic stay. The host is very helpful and really went above and beyond to be friendly and accommodating. She helped us to arrange taxis in the evening which cant be done through Didi. And, was generally very hospitable The hotel has an immense view, the outside seating area is great as well. But, the guest house as a whole is showing its age and has clearly seen a year or two of questionable maintainance. The bath in the room was visibly browned, the paint was going in a lot of places and there are just some randomly really untidy bits - that's not uncommon in other similar accommodations. The photo to news article machine outside the front is a prime example. This amazing view with fantastic communal space and every now and then it will just start chirping at you to buy a bit of tat. Still, we had a great time and overall I would say book it if it meets your criteria. Would stay again, but would consider other places too."
