8 Boutique by the Sea

A hidden hotel in a deep alley ・Good A small beach is just 100m away. The rooms are on the second floor and are facing the sea and residential, but let's choose the sea side. It's great to see the ocean at this price point. The room made the bed every day, and the shower has hot water. It seems to be well maintained. And no adhan is heard. ・Concerns The size of the room is on par with Japanese business hotels, that is, it is small. In addition, since it is a hotel for overnight stays without meals, there are concerns about security, so it is better to avoid it for single women and families. It's a Chinese environment, so you can hear firecrackers going off and people making noise in the corridor or outside at night. It may be better to avoid celebrations such as the Chinese New Year. ・Remark This hotel is located in a mausoleum Therefore, you can appreciate the uniqueness of the Chinese atmosphere. The lobby is on the 1st floor, but sometimes it's closed because the janitor is out to make the bed. Also, I visited at 12 o'clock before check-in, but it seemed that it was ready and I was put in the room, so I can expect a flexible response.

Hompton Hotel by The Beach
4.5/5620 Reviews
I stayed at Hompton hotel by the beach in March. My room # 2101 is very nice with views on both sides ( city and sea view). I booked the same hotel and asked for the same room or as high as possible with good view. Then in July, my girlfriend and l checked in. They gave us as l asked for, same view and higher # 3101. I appreciate it. Friendly and good service. Penang is a food paradise and right in front of the hotel in a food court. 100 meters from the hotel is the bus stop. Grab is available in Malaysia. I used bus and grab, very convenient. Next time when l come to Penang, l will book Hompton by the beach again. High recommended.
Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort

The room smelled musty when first time accessed….i think be cause of the carpet …hotel is quite old but so nearby the beach and can see seaview from balcony Room was not that clean especially in the toilet there were some black stain and the bidet shower was rustic and air-con is not cold as i wished Swimming pool closes at 6.30 / too early The staff at reception is so friendly Breakfast is 30rm / food variety is acceptable of comparing with price but the cleanliness is so terrible as i saw the table clothes were dirty like they never wash it and there’s was bird poop on the chair also Overall is acceptable if u want to stay close to the beach with the cheap price but don’t expect the cleanliness
Leisure Cove Hotel and Apartments

The location of the resort is convenient, near the main road and the beach. The rooms are large and comfortable. Spacious living and dining area . But maintenance and tidiness of the resort needs to improve. The aircond at the twin bedroom is leaking water when in use. Looking at the ceiling mark, it appears that the water leak has not been properly fixed. Also, there is no soap tray in the bathroom. Potted plants are not taken care properly. Rubbish are dumped in front of the hotel. The surrounding area is quite untidy. We don't see any supervising manager around. The management office is closed most of the time. Looks like only the front desk and some maintenance staff are operating the resort.

We booked 3 bedroom family suite.we got room with seaview.the service is good.breakfast food is decent.room is clean.but we found quite a number of semut charlie.luckily notice and kill the semut charlie before the kids.swimming pool is large and okay (not too chlorinated as kids didnt felt itchy and sore eyes).just the drawback is thay while staying on saturday, that night the bass sound/music is so soooo loud, coming from beside hotel/resort.i heard they having weekend barbeque party.Anyhow we quite satisfied with our staying here.Keep up the good work !
