Kuala Kuantan Villas

It was a great stay at Hyatt Regency. Room was cosy and bed was comfortable. We particularly liked the bathroom area as it was very wide and spacious and had a sliding door to open to see your room. However our garden facing room was actually facing the forest and tennis court, and a little far walk from the lobby. Pool area was quite small. Nothing much to complain about as the location was really good, you have direct access to the beach and less crowd compared to the public part of Teluk Cempedak.

I was assigned a room at 4th floor. Since its at lower level of its 15 storey, I requested a room facing not facing the noisy main street. Good choice: view of a football filed, a mosque and part of the city. The room: The Hotel management probably believe that 1980s heyday decor is a selling point. Save for the flat screen telly, the rest still preserves its 80s setting: louvred wardrobe, bedside cabinet central console with rocker switches, blanket on top of sheets (not quilt), tiled (not marbled) bathroom floor, queen (not king) bed. They try to keep the cleanliness but the permanent stains on chairs, moulds around aircond vent, peeling furniture paint, mildew on bathroom wall are beyond the housekeeping department’s routine; the whole place needs serious makeover.

The Location of the Hotel is Super Convenient. Walking Distance to Kuantan 188 Tower, Art Streets and Night Markets. However, surrounding a bit run down but have lots of Parking. Cleaniness of the Hotel need more improvement and Renovation is Needed. Sound Proof for the Room is pretty bad. All items in Hotel Room is Old but still usable. Luckily Two Night was calm and peace, we sleep very well. Services is Good and have lots of Parking Behind Hotel. Suitable for Business Trip. Overall its still a Nice Stay. Not too bad.

The attentive staff made sure that every guest's dining needs were met, adding to the overall dining pleasure. The hotel's facilities are impressive, including a fully-equipped fitness center and a refreshing swimming pool. After a long day of exploring the city, I found solace in unwinding by the poolside, soaking in the serene ambiance and indulging in some well-deserved relaxation. Furthermore, the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and safety measures is commendable, especially in light of current global circumstances. I felt reassured knowing that stringent hygiene protocols were in place throughout the property. Overall, my experience at Grand Darul Makmur Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the impeccable service to the comfortable accommodations and excellent dining options, every aspect of my stay exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kuantan, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Room size is acceptable, location is excellent right next to the Kuantan Esplanade, very close to Menara 188 and popular eateries. Ample parking except when there are events ongoing at the hotel. Staff are friendly but the breakfast spread is so-so. Room has a balcony with a wonderful view of the Kuantan River but strong winds may cause eerie howlings. The only drawback is the irregular hot water supply. Overall, a satisfactory stay.

Hotel lama agak suram. Punya lama towel pun lusuh. Dia bagi yg koyak. Pic attached. Wc bidet ye. ada bathtub. Breakfast hauk. Takde pilihan n rasa tak sedap.

Although a little on the pricey side per night rate, my fmly and I overall enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Colony. I was pleasantly surprised how clean and new looking this place was. Not run down at all despite having opened for about 5 years now I think. Very well maintained which made our stay very comfortable. We like how industrial and modern looking this whole place is. Water pressure in the bathroom was good, bed linen was clean, amenities were well replenished, swimming pool was rather small but clean and decent enough to keep the kids happy. One thing weird though was that we were given 2019 dated green tea sachet but it’s already 2022 now. Receptionist said it’s actually the date of manufacturing rather than the expiry date but we didn’t want to take the risk so we didn’t consume it. And the amount of soap and shampoo given were probably too little in small slim bottles. Bathroom was a little clogged after our shower. But everything else were fine and nice. I guess the sound proof was alright as there was no noisy disturbances from other rooms. So we had uninterrupted sleep. This guesthouse has two storeys with 8 rooms in total. 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom. All in all thumbs up and if given the chance and having to travel to Kuantan again we would be more than happy to be back here to stay.

Hotel GM is clean and is situated near the city center. Around the place, you would find plenty of eateries and restaurants. A recommended stay for business travelers and family trips.

The room itself was ok, it was clean albeit a little bit small, and a little spot here and there but nothing to be worried about. everything was enough. Towels are provided, soap and shampoo also even though they are small, just enough for taking bath 2 to 3 times. If it is not enough, can request for it. There is an iron room. There is also a parking lot at the basement. I think maybe I should give 4 stars out of 5.
