My 8 month old baby, my wife and i stayed for 1 night on an all-inclusive. I went there to attend a medical conference. On arrival, we were asked to have a seat at the lobby. The conference was at 2pm and I had to wait till 3pm to get my room. It was like an exhausting wait. Several times, I had to ask the receptionist if my room was ready. At that time, we felt so unwelcomed. The room floor was dirty. One can feel the dirt when you walk bare foot. The fan doesn’t work. The hair dryer doesn’t work. There is no minibar in the room. No bathrobes. No slippers. The TV can only be switched on and off and absolutely no channels playing. A cot was provided for the baby but without blanket to cover. Finally, we all had to share the same blanket on the same bed. At dinner time, we went to the main restaurant and requested to be seated inside as it was cold and windy and we didn’t want our baby to fall sick. But we were told that we had to dine with the conference group which was outside, an opened space on 2 sides. Finally, we were obliged to take a table where it was less windy but next to it was a table with the all the dirty plates, glasses and bottles (see photos). The waiters were just continuously passing by next to us. We could hear them complaining about the complaints of other hotel guests who were dining. The open buffet dinner, breakfast and lunch were very below average. Meal time looks like Mauritian wedding reception ‘chawtari’. You have to queue up to get your food. The next day, after breakfast, we went to our room and found a piece of paper folded in 4 , thrown down outside of our room door. We picked it up and it was all about how they felt a little sad that we are leaving and reminding us the check-out time. At 11:15am, someone knocked at the door and my wife opened just to see a man asking us to leave the room. We left the room in less that 10 mins and I requested the receptionist for assistance to carry our luggage as our room was on the 2nd floor and no lift facilities available. Well, I regret asking for that assistance. Arriving at the reception, I handed out the key at the reception and my luggage still didn’t reach the lobby. To make it worst, my baby had a poop and I felt so embarrassed not knowing what to do. I inquire at the reception about my luggage and I should appreciate the lady who made a call and told me that the luggage will soon arrive. It took almost 40 mins for them to bring my luggage and I had to change the baby diaper in my car, in the car park. We came back for lunch as it was included in our all-inclusive and left immediately after.

Our first visit to Mauritius and we will be back. This hotel was a delight to stay in. We have stayed at the big resorts in the caribbean and this exceeds them. It is small friendly, beautifully kept and a real gem. From our arrival we were treated so well, everyone smiles and always welcomes you. The reception team of vanessa and deepak sorted everythung and even allowed us a check out just before our taxi to the airport, considering this was 6pm this was fantastic, we left the lovely beach at 5 pm so had a whole extra day. The rroms are very clean and have evrything you need, the bathroom is big enough and our sea view balcony was fantastic. Yes they not 5 star but it not where we spend our holiday The beach - so clean and just perfect. After the cyclone there was a little (and i mean a little) sea****. They cleared this every morning and you could dip every day without an issue (so unlike the horrible sea**** in mexico). The waiters on the beach were very attentive bring ing drinks and food throughout the day. The TI Bar is the highlight There are ample beds and there was no need to get up early, we always had a bed with shade after 9am The restarurents are very keen and staff are keen for you to enjoy the expreince. The indigo is the main buffet and although the choice can be a little limited it was ample (needs more for vegitarians). The Doce vita is fantastic, this is london level food even at lunch time, this is a must for booking in evening and a main meal at lunch time. La plage must be the best beach resteraunt there is, you couldnt want for a better view to have lunch and the evening meal was fantastic. You must book at least 2 days before The bars have ample selection of drinks and the AI options are perfect. the staff are attentive and we rarely waited for table service. The Ti Bar is the place to spend the night. Right on the beach is the place to be as the sun goes down, this is my second home we loved it here There was a young mixologist here and at the coral bar, Shivem i think, what a lovely young man. All the staff are so so friendly they take pleaseure in ensuring your holiday is perfect and they do it so well. Everyone smiles and they not false, they are so proud of their hotel and their island and so they should be Finally i needed some medical help, managed to get am abcess flare up, the onsite doctor was fantastic, so polit, so attentive. He sorted my tablets but then checked up on me 3 days later, then when i home i recieved a message to check i had a safe and comfortable journey home and was all ok. He also made sure my claim was sorted. What a place, you will not regret going here

The hotel is very good and very stylish. The reception department is very professional. Thank you again for Ctrip. Before the trip, there was a problem with the flight. Other tourists on the flight with Ctrip bought the tickets and got a very good arrangement. I bought it on a dragon, and the service was a shit.

Its been over a week since we returned from Mauritius and we still have that wholesome buzz lingering. Sea sense Boutique Hotel and Spa was our second stop on our recent holiday (in fact Honeymoon!)….. The location (ie right on the beach) and grounds of the hotel were beautiful. Everywhere is so well kept and idyllic. The biggest triumph for us was the service/people. When we first arrived we felt a bit apprehensive as you see so many people buzzing around from morning through til night its almost hard to remember who is who. But as the holiday went on, these people we see every day soon became friends. People we would look forward to seeing through the day. The team at Seasense are absolutely fantastic and have such a warmth that makes you feel genuinely cared for and welcomed. A big shout out to Sylvana, Aniket, Gerald and Jerome who were a pleasure to be around. You really are great at what you do and worth your weight in gold. We were in the Charm room which was quaint. Overall cleanliness good. Good amenities provided. We had the pleasure of using the spa too which was lovely. Therapists were lovely and very well equipped. Easy to book. Oils they used smelt divine and everything felt so relaxing. The Boathouse is a really lovely touch. Being able to borrow snorkelling gear, Kayaks etc without any worries was a really convenient. Jude (can be found in or around the Boathouse) was always so helpful and another real asset to your team. Food was mostly good. We would have however loved to have seen a bit more Mauritius food/snacks available. Ie fried rice/biryani/noodles/varying salads. One really minor bugbear/running joke we had was the chefs insistent use of meringue, sugar daisies and jellylike substance on nearly every dessert we had included in the Half Board. Without these – not bad at all! Breakfast - TOAST! A toaster with sliced bread would be amazing but otherwise a good selection already available. We would absolutely love to come back, so its not goodbye, its see you again soon! Laura and Michael
