The breakfast is rich and delicious, with Japanese food and Western style. The hotel is actually a bit away from Shimabara Station, but it can't be reached within ten minutes. There are multiple buses in front of the door, which can reach Shimabara Port to Kumamoto, or directly to Unzen Hot Spring. The hotel room is facing Shimabara Castle, with a wide view of the scenery. Onsen is not so large compared to the number of people who can stay. In particular, it will be very crowded from 22:00 to 23:00 just before Onsen service ends. If you use it, you should avoid that time.
