I used the Travelodge Glenrothes for a two week vacation in October. It's location next to food and gas/petrol was extremely convenient. I rented a car, drove around Scotland doing cliche Scottish tourism, and returned to Glenrothes each night, apart from a weekend next to Loch Ness in an airb&b. The towels were more starchy than I'm used to, but not a bad experience at all. The front desk can give you recommendations for laundry and taxi services, though I personally used a 24/7 launderette a couple miles away outside a small shop for convenience. The employees were friendly and helpful, and despite being able to hear other people's TVs from the hallway to a minor extent, once in my own room I couldn't hear anything from outside other than the fire door halfway down the hall opening/closing the few times on any given day. I mainly chose Travelodge Glenrothes as it was the cheapest option for a private room vs a hostel, and was very happy with the hotel overall.

Stayed here for a week, whilst visiting family. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom was a great size. The bed was massive! And extremely comfortable - so much so - we didn't want to get up! Lol Breakfast was good - although a choice of egg would have been nice, instead of scrambled each morning. The only other thing that needed improving was the awful coffee from the machine. I had a latte machiato twice - the first was just frothy milk and little coffee - the 2nd was awful - literally ended up with a mouthful of bitter coffee grains. 🤑 However, the price of the hotel, together with the comfortable room, friendly staff and quiet location means we will DEFINITELY return.

Internationally acclaimed Balbirnie Country Park and Manor House are only a five minute walk away and host walk ways, forests and a public golf course.Station View Lodge has a master bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, separate living room (with sumptuous pull out double bed) and separate, fully contained kitchen. All of which are for sole use of our guests.This is a four guest occupancy. No other overnight stays are permitted.Please be aware that we are currently developing the outside of the building and is not yet designed or completed and does not reflect the detail and personal touch of the interior of our home.Guest access is via lock box at the front door of the property. Access is via one single 20cm step and hallways and spaces are wide enough for wheelchair access.Access via the back of the building is not advised at night at present as there are multiple steps to consider and lighting is not adequate. A friendly and well run hotel with a nice bar. Being located beside railway station a real positive. Would definitely book again.
