It would be hard to really put into words how special this trip was. We arrived in Nice in the early evening, rented a car and drove to Grasse. As soon as we pulled into the driveway of Hotel La Bellaudiere we noticed the amazing terrace and a group of guests sitting and enjoying some wine. We knew we were in the right place and couldn't drop our bags off and get to that terrace fast enough. We sat there all night on a beautiful warm spring night, watched the full moon rise and reveal beautiful moonlit vistas of the valley below and a glimpse of the Mediterranean in the distance. The lights of Antibes and Cannes clearly visible as well. It was magic. We spent the whole night chatting with other guests as the came and went more or less doing the same thing as us. Our proprietor Francois took brilliant care of us the entire time and by the time we finally went to bed, we were all fast friends. The morning revealed beautiful open views of the valley below us, trees with the early stages of leaves coming out and every spring flower imaginable in full bloom. Breakfast was fresh bread and croissants, jam, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. We could have asked for eggs or something else, but why? That was our first 12 hours. There's not enough room for the rest. It was an amazing trip in an amazing region of France. Francois and his team could not have been better. We had dinner twice in the hotel after local excursions to nearby points of interest. The food was excellent. By the time we left we felt like part of the family and we can't wait to go back. This is not a big name luxury Hotel experience. This is like visiting your dear friend's home. That's they way you are treated, like a good friend. Its a wonderful place with a lot of history and perfect for the traveler that wants to explore the local area without much of a plan enjoying the gorgeous scenery and eating delicious food. Excellent for everything. Pkg, clean and quiet room, breakfast on the terrace ... really great! From a very complicated day a day, this stop has made us shaped! I advise you this small paradise corner in the heart of the village.

Reading other reviews I was somewhat concerned. Yes the room was small but had all amenities you would expect fo a 4 star hotel. And enough space for all our clothes and suitcases. Pool environment was very nice and pool water at 30 degrees temperature for a relaxed swim after a day of sighseeing. Breakfast was fine for 15.90 euros. Personnel was kind and helpful. The location is good for visiting various sites around in Cote d Azur. Grasse though was not what we expected it to be. But there are other places worth visiting in less than an hour travelling time. Menton, Monaco, Nice, Villefranche sur mer, Mougins, Valbonne, Cannes....and more.

There were traces of FECES on the draps as well as EXCREMENTS in the toilets, PUBICS HAIRS on the ears as well as millions of hair. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. We immediately called the reception, the manager didn't seem shocked and he changed our room. We were then down despaired by demanding new draps as well as a partial or complete refund. The manager laughed to us and said to us a word by word: ”You are fools or what?”, ”You have to get out if you are not happy.”, ”You are losing my time, I would like to sleep.”, ”You had to check the state of beds as soon as you arrived.”, ”This is the first time that customers complain about dirt here.” (Ay, it's totally wrong. We were out of the way when he asked us for a €50 cleanness guarantee if we wanted to stay asleep !!!! During the discussion, the manager began to be verbally extremely aggressive, we are two young girls and we were afraid of our safety at that time. We were then forced to leave the places at 2 a.m. after 1:30 p.m. of the negotiation, and I also stated that the manager was rich after we were thrown out as clean, in pyjama. The manager did not make any excuse or offer a commercial gesture when we found CACA on our boards. I won't even let my dog sleep in this “hotel”. Of course we won't stay there, this place needs to SCHEE.
