Airport Honolulu Hotel
3.9/565 Reviews
Western Honolulu
Review and rating solely based on our one night stay. High on convenience because our flight arrived late so rental cars were closed. It’s a few minutes (about 5) from airport where we needed to get our car next day. At the outset of entering there’s taped off area in lobby like work being done and a bit pungent smell that gives you an off the bat impression. Friendly receptionist. Room was not very likable as sheets felt and smelled too starchy it was uncomfortable to sleep in. Beds (two twins) felt old and somewhat lumpy. Shuttle does run on the hour til 12:30am and we were lucky to catch the last one and to get back to airport next morning. In conclusion, it met our convenience needs but way overpriced for the subpar room accommodation (174$ total).

Uhhhhh..... We stayed in this hotel because our flight got in late and we needed a place close to the airport to crash for one night. This hotel fits that purpose well. That said, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for any other situation other than the one I just described. They were pumping sewage right outside of our door the morning we woke up. Also, our room key didn't work the morning we were checking out. The only other positive of this hotel is that it is within walking distance of THE BEST little food place we came across on our whole trip: Joe's Grill Express. We cannot wait to come back so we can visit Joe's again.

Staff friendly and helpful. I had trouble booking online rate, one of the staff indicated that gave a discount for Ex-military/Military, assisted and booked the room for 3 more nites. Service was very good. Extra towels available and amenities provided as needed. Location was great, walking distance to the beach, restaurants and more.

I booked through a third-party and thought I was getting a really good deal then a check in they charge another $30 for the resort fee this is common scheme to add value to their income and I will never ever book a hotel that charge of the resort fee because what the hell is that for.? This trip was for medical diagnostic purposes and not a vacation to Waikiki would never vacation to Waikiki. So the aqua hotel it's a little deceptive so my advice to travelers is to make inquiries about resort fees before you book good luck. I booked a room on the city side with no view and by doing that the room was much quieter than room is it face face Ala Moana Boulevard

It's very expensive during the Christmas period but it's relatively cheap compared to others. The service is average. Hawaiians don't seem to be very enthusiastic. No one cleans the room. You can go to the front desk to ask for towels but you can pick them up yourself. Parking around is difficult. Walking You can find paid parking spaces on the street in the latter larger street. Since I rented a car, I don’t know how the public transportation is here. There is no meal service here, there is a small swimming pool and an outdoor coin-operated laundry.
Hilo Reeds Bay Hotel

This hotel was a very affordable option that throws you right in the heart of Banyan Drive near other hotels. I believe you receive the full Hilo experience when you room at Reed’s Bay because they treat you like ʻohana, or family. I enjoyed my time spent there, and I would highly recommend this hospitable hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, only five or six minutes to Waikiki Beach. Shopping and dining are very convenient. Opposite is a popular Japanese sushi takeaway, a Korean food truck, and not far away are two ABC stores. The bus station is very close, making travel convenient. The hotel staff is very enthusiastic. There is a water dispenser in the lobby on the first floor for drinking water, an ice machine, and a brochure of bus routes and timetables for self-collection. There is a music performance in the lobby by the small swimming pool every Wednesday night. The room we booked has two beds with a kitchen. The area is not large and a bit crowded. The room has poor lighting. The only window in the room is by the aisle, and the curtains have to be drawn during the day. (The hotel has rooms with small balconies, but I don't know what type of room it is.) The window air conditioner is a bit noisy, and people with poor sleep may be affected. The bed is very soft and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, but there is no range hood. Because it is convenient to buy food, we don't use the kitchen much.
Arnott's Lodge & Hiking Adventures

The facility was clean and quiet. It is in a nice neighborhood within close driving distance to all of the Hilo attractions. The desk person had helpful suggestions for local restaurants and activities. My wife and I stayed for a weekend, and recommend Arnott's. It's a great pace for under $200 per night.

Located in the middle of downtown Waikiki, international marketplace Waikiki Beach was also close and very convenient! The cool guy at the reception is also friendly. Smile even if you don't speak English very well I'm glad you responded. The only drawback is that the nightclub is inside the building. From 10pm to 3am and 4am The explosion echoes throughout the room and throughout the hotel. I was tired from sightseeing and was able to sleep despite the loud noise. Not recommended for those who are nervous. The sound seemed to be louder than what I had heard from the reviews. bitter smile And there are no amenities! It was a great decision to bring a hair dryer! The bed and sofa are extremely fluffy. It was very easy to sleep and comfortable. Overall, the loud noise is fine. For those who value excellent location and low prices I think it's a good hotel.
