Sabaidee House

You know the score. One thing goes wrong for you and then everything seems to be wrong, so read this as a ”what can happen” not what always happens. Firstly the positives - there's a nice pool, the staff are friendly and polite like most Thais, the omelet was Fab at breakfast (and proper coffee is a pleasant rarity), the bed and bed linen were comfortable. As Jethro (the Cornish comedian) says...what happened was.... We arrive down a dusty back road/dirt track. The two young staff (friendly etc) cannot speak any other languages than Thai. We check in and go to our ”bungalow”. It's not what we booked, in fact it's a room that is available for two thirds of what we paid. At this point I have to say that's only £10 and thus no biggie, but 400Bahts is a big extra profit over here. Worse, not only does it not have a TV (again not bothered as we haven't watched one for two weeks), or a fridge but it's shabby, with beaten up old furniture and the shower is cold. The young girl wants to move us, but no, the young lad fixes the shower and brings an old fridge in. The room is still pokey and shabby and has no desk (there's a wooden bench if you like that sort of rustic!). Unlike other rooms who have patio sets we have a rotten wooden seat outside, we have nowhere to hang clothes and no TV but hey ho, we will bear with that because we just can't be bothered! The other minor issues: food is pretty average, though fairly cheap (we've been spoiled a bit with fantastic street food and restaurants in Bangkok and Koh Lanta). It's not a short walk to anywhere except the bus stop for the old City which is about half a mile. WiFi is pretty unreliable and mainly bad. I went to the bar for two Thai Rums. I got them, albeit measured, and there was a tiny bit left in the bottle which I thought she'd just pour into one of the glasses but no. Now I've owned bars so I thought aha, she'll pour it into the next bottle - good economy really. I return for another shot to find there is, in fact, NO other bottle of local rum! I return to the shabby bedroom slightly irked. I could go on but I'm sure you get the drift. If you get room B3 then know this - it is (should be about a tenner) cheap but you get what you pay for and breakfast and the pool are good. The shower room is laughable if you're not already too hacked off to see the funny side.

The friendly staff, the cleanliness, and the amenities make this guesthouse well worth the price. The bikes are fairly priced and in good condition, and there are more than enough available. Every staff member went above and beyond to help. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The pool area was clean and spacious. We highly recommend this guesthouse.

Backpackers can walk to Sukhothai Bus Terminal, close to the night market, naturally alarms in the temple in the morning, start early in the morning, and the morning market is right in front of you, so you can solve it. Yes. You can go to Sukhothai National Park directly, but I think you have to take a tuk-tuk. The bedding is clean.

Great place. We paid 600 bath a night for a double room with aircon and en-suite bathroom. Rooms look exactly like the pictures on the facebook page. Very beautiful. Super Clean place! Everything is in great shape, the owners take good care of the place. The shower has a good flow and the water is hot. Free parking in the back, so if you rent a scooter you can put it in a safe place at night, no worries. There's a fridge in the room, they allowed us to eat our own food for breakfast on the front terrace, and lended us some spoons :) They make the room and put new water bottles everyday. Also the best part for us is that the room is very quiet and after three weeks travelling in laos and Thailand, the beds were simply the BEST we ever had. Felt like heaven and we had 3 good nights of regenerating sleep! Thank you for your service! We'll come back to your guesthouse if we're ever in Sukhothai (Which is GREAT by the way) again ;)

I think the location of the hotel is very good! Coming from Chiang Mai and getting off the bus, it’s only 300 meters away. It’s not far from 7-11 to eat around, especially the central scenic area. I rode my bike around all the attractions in the morning. The sincere smile of the lady boss made You feel the happiness and kindness of the Thai people. The family room I live in is relatively large, and there is free coffee and water. The facilities in the room are relatively simple and basic enough, but there is no desk and it is not convenient to use a computer for temporary office work. It’s very large, with plenty of tables and chairs. You can work in the courtyard if the weather is right.

The trash can is so small and small, the room is so dark and dark, there is no hot water pot. . . You can only pour water in the cafe downstairs. . . The air conditioner must be turned on to sleep. Sultry said. . There is no exhaust in the toilet. . . Wooden house, about 500 meters away from the historical park, 7-11 opposite, the owner is very enthusiastic. Very friendly.
