The location is good to go around the old town, especially the Red Food Garden Paradise, such a food court, is as 5 min-walk as far from this hostel.
It has a convenient service for depositing luggage by putting it on the shelf in the hallway after checking out until 10 pm on the day.
To ask about it, I sent messages by WhatsApp and some staff replied quickly though it was already no after 11 pm and I could solve this question soon. I appreciate him/her.
I have some suggestions if I can say;
1. Clean the bathroom for the smell, small flies, water system (adjustment the temperature for showering, and toilet clogging)
2. Door security sometimes made some unknown reason errors and I'd been shut out
3. A staff member asked me to put some staff names on the comment as they did good services for their better salaries, but I just met him for the first time when I left the room to check out. If he was the person who replied to my question before the night, yes, I could put his name here, but I didn't know who it was.
So I refused.
The comment should be honest, so it's not the thing to ask guests to put someone's name without obvious direct good services.
Cool and automated space , I don’t know if it’s me or the door . But I always had trouble with the passcode of front door .
Suggestion rather than a complaint . It’s ok if you don’t have a receptionist but atleast give a WhatsApp number that people can chat with for queries or info or requests
I used to stay here on n off almost 6months +,
I considered one the best Location in terms of public transportation especially State Govt Rapid Pg covering from all four largest residents district in island and mainland, based on daily foods needed by all the tourist they many traditional n famously shop n roadside stalls selling locals delights.. Majority the prices are very reasonable n affordable.. I would say The 60 management should do something for improvement n betterments of the whole building especially within indoor parts.. Staff services getting better n improvement as I felt they're changed the cleanniness n tidyness of the main living Hall n all the toilets.. It's worth every penny I spends at the 60..
Basic but all you need for a short stay! Great wifi and aircon, and such a convenient location. Can be a little noisy as there are common areas right outside the room.
i like this hotel so much. seems like a new hotel. iron and iron board, hair dryer provided in the hotel room. the aircond is so cool, refrigerator also very cool. got many plugs, no need to use an extension. got kiblat arrow but didn't provide a prayer mat. got place to put a luggage and other bags, no need to put on the floor. the bathroom quite big and the water pressure is good. the water heater also works well. this pictures taken before check out. the most i like is the black totebag given in the room which is very rare. hotels normally just give a laundry plastic bag only. overall, i am satisfied with the interior and the facilities provided in the room. just one thing that you can hear sounds and voices from the outside. other than that, everything is good. would love to come again in the future.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff (aized, sutharsan and Mubeen) were very friendly and helpful from check-in until check-out. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. Location is convenient, close to restaurants and public transport. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.
I booked a three person room with one single bed and a double bed. I'm very happy with the cosy room and quiet relaxing atmosphere and ample parking place and there is a great food court 50 meters away..
My friends and I stayed for 3 nights in a Family room. Room layout was great, perfect for what we needed for 3 friends, two of whom were working remotely while in Penang. Nice view from the window. The bathroom was a good size - looked to be a handicap accessible bathroom - but no hooks for hanging anything, and the shower head couldn't be moved up high enough, so it was awkward. Good temperature and pressure, though. Hallways were run down and dirty looking. We booked this hotel also for the breakfast option as well, but that wasn't great - ”hot” food was not actually kept hot despite being in chafing pans that could very well have been heated. Toaster was broken on the 2nd day so one friend had cold bread with butter (probably margarine). Breakfast was set to run from 7am to 10:30am; we went down at around 9am the first morning. The noodle dish was already run out, and we were told there would be no more. Coffee was good and hot. It was fine but overall disappointing. It was an okay stay but not great, and I'm not sure it was worth the price paid. I dont think I'd stay again unless some improvements were made.
The hotel is clean. The space is just right for the room size. It can comfortably accommodate two people. The bathroom is clean and has a hair dryer. Drinking water is refillable. You can take the bottle down to the lobby to refill it. Hot water and tea and coffee are provided. The hotel is very close to street food. It's just a short walk to the bus station. Very convenient. I highly recommend it.

GGuest UserCertainly! Below is a **detailed, balanced, and constructive review template** for **Hangoutspacez Queensbay** (or a similar budget/co-living space in Penang). Since this isn’t a widely documented property, I’ll structure it generically so you can adapt it based on your actual experience.
---
### **Hangoutspacez Queensbay – Honest Review**
**Location: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- **Pros:** Close to Queensbay Mall (5–10 min walk), easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, and public transport. Convenient for business travelers (Bayan Lepas tech zone) or tourists exploring Penang’s south.
- **Cons:** Not in the heart of tourist spots like George Town (requires Grab/taxi).
**Cleanliness: ★★★☆☆** (3.5/5)
- **Pros:** Daily cleaning for common areas; linens provided are fresh.
- **Cons:** Occasional maintenance issues (e.g., slow drain in showers, worn-out furniture). Budget vibe—don’t expect luxury.
**Facilities: ★★★☆☆** (3/5)
- **Pros:** Free WiFi (decent speed), communal kitchen, and lounge area. Good for solo travelers or digital nomads.
- **Cons:** No gym/pool; shared bathrooms can get crowded during peak hours.
**Staff & Service: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Friendly and helpful for local tips, but limited 24/7 front desk support.
**Value for Money: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Affordable for Penang (around RM50–100/night for dorms). Ideal for short stays, but may lack long-term comforts.
**Room for Improvement:**
1. **Better Soundproofing** – Noise from common areas can be heard in private rooms.
2. **More Power Outlets** – Limited charging points in dorms.
3. **Clearer House Rules** – E.g., quiet hours or kitchen cleanup policies.
**Verdict:**
A **no-frills, social budget stay** best suited for backpackers, solo travelers, or those attending nearby events. Manage expectations—it’s functional but not luxurious.

### **How to Use This Review Constructively:**
- **If You’re a Traveler:** Compare with alternatives (e.g., Tune Hotel, capsule hostels). Prioritize location vs. price.
- **If You’re the Property Owner:** Address cleanliness/maintenance, add clear signage for rules and maybe create any accessible lockers available to utilize the space in the efficient manner.
GGuest UserI booked 1 night hotel for accommodation. New hotel furniture and interior inside room. Clean and spacious even my room no windows. No toiletries provided but its ok for me. Tv with internet and im enjoyed watching YouTube and Netflix. Iron and board need to share upon request. Staff is polite. Next to hotel there is 24hr convenient store and thai restaurant. Walking distance 300m to mc donald, giant hypermarket and 500m to Pantai hospital. Price is affordable. Will not hesitate to come again if having business trip there.
EErul MaverickThe hotel is located in the housing area. Therefore the parking provided is limited. I've booked one queen bed n one single bed for my family. The cleanliness of the room is impressive and wonderful. However the size of the room is too small for me. It brings a problem for us to pray as we need to pray at the small space in front of the door. So, if one of us is praying then nobody can open the door.

MMOHAMMED ARKAN MAJEEDI had a wonderful stay at this central Penang hotel; the lobby was stunning and the room was very clean, complemented by an exceptionally friendly staff member. For future guests, it's worth noting that a thin ceiling and outside work caused some noise, which a little added insulation could fix. The shared bathroom was functional, though it could use a bit more attention to keep the floor dry. We also appreciated how easy it was to get around from this location.
AAnonymous UserA budget hotel in a perfect location, i just love how convenient the hotel location is where it is in the middle of every tourist attraction location, so if you feel wanna go to the toilet you can just passed by the hotel to use the hotel toilet 😂. a staff will attend you for your check in and check out which a less hassle. although it is a budget hotel they provide an android TV which offers youtube and netflix!
