Faz MhmdI recently stayed at Hotel Seri Malaysia Genting Highlands for one night. The hotel has a rather dated appearance, and many aspects of the room, including the bed, wardrobe, and furnishings, seem unchanged for many years. While the room was spacious, the overall condition could benefit from refurbishment.
The room itself was reasonably clean, but the bathroom was less impressive. There were visible signs of mould and some dirt buildup, particularly in certain areas of the toilet.
One of the biggest drawbacks of my stay was the noise level. The hotel is located close to the main road at Gohtong Jaya, and traffic noise could be heard clearly throughout the night. As a result, I found it difficult to get a deep and restful sleep.
Overall, the hotel may be suitable for a short one-night stay if you’re simply looking for a place to rest before heading to Genting Highlands. However, for a stay of two or three nights, I would probably consider other options, especially if sleep quality and comfort are important to you.

Foo FanglingThe room wasn't very spacious, but it was perfect for our family to gather together. It's not far from the city center and there are two shopping malls nearby, which was convenient for dining and shopping. We'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. Kuantan is a great destination for family trips.

Anonymous UserStayed here twice before and always had a good experience.
This time, iron and ironing board no longer provided in room and we had to go downstairs to use them. It would be better if this is updated in the hotel info so guests can prepare and bring our own.no coffee or tea provided, and the towels were already quite worn out and fraying at the edges.
Hopefully, these can be improved for the next stay.

Anonymous User1. Parking is self-paid, costing 65 cents per hour to the city council, except on Sundays and public holidays.
2. There are many eateries nearby, and it's within walking distance to Kuantan Tower or Padang as it's in the city center.
3. There is hotel parking available for RM3, but you need to get it verified at the counter every time you exit the hotel.
4. Staff are okay.
5. The building only has 4 floors.
6. The Wi-Fi and air conditioning are not strong.
7. The TV and bathroom are okay.

AlexMozhetI stayed for 4 nights, and for three of them, I was the only one in the hostel (a huge plus, but that was just luck). There are no curtains, and there's a noisy fan in the middle of the room. As a hotel with private rooms, I think it's great, but as a hostel... I wouldn't recommend it. Also, it's always very humid there!
I just found out about another hostel in this area that's cheaper, has capsule beds with curtains, washing machines, and isn't as humid, plus there's a shop a minute away.
To sum up: should you book a private room? I think so, because I saw it and it looked good. Should you book the hostel dorms? No, it's humid and lacks privacy with no curtains. If you're not just staying for a weekend, you might consider it, as you'll likely be alone. I arrived on a Sunday, and all the beds were taken that evening, but everyone left in the morning, and no one else checked in. All the tourists are staying at the other hostel I mentioned above.

I ordered a room with a single and a queen bed, but I got two single beds instead. Also, the hot water wasn't hot at all. Everything else was fine.
