"It's an amazing place. Very authentic. A memorable dinner and a hearty breakfast. The only thing is that it's hard to get there without a car, the last bus stop is 1 km away. But it's definitely worth it."

"Overall, I think my stay was pretty good. It's true that the facilities were old and the equipment was noticeably worn out, but it was cleaned to a certain extent and I think it was enough for those who don't require too much comfort. In particular, the staff were polite and greeted me and answered my questions properly. In this respect, I felt that they were considerate of their guests. However, there was one thing that was very disappointing. That is, even though I clearly selected a non-smoking room when I made the reservation, I was actually given a smoking room. From the moment I entered the room, the smell of cigarettes was strong and very unpleasant. I thought about asking the front desk, but since I arrived late that day and was tired, I had no choice but to stay in that room. During my three-day stay, the smell of cigarettes never completely went away, and it permeated my clothes, luggage, and even my own body. Even when I was sorting my luggage after returning home, the smell was bothersome, and this point greatly diminished my overall satisfaction with the trip. As an accommodation facility, I feel that it is very problematic to assign a smoking room to a customer who selected a non-smoking room. This not only directly affects the health and comfort of the customer, but also affects their sense of trust. I strongly hope that such mistakes will be improved in the future. Overall, even if we take into account that it is an old facility, the non-smoking policy was insufficient, so it may be difficult to use it again. I hope that other users do not have a similar experience."

"年季の入った建物で洗面所やトイレは共用、食事は食堂で提供されます。部屋にテレビはあります。学生の合宿所をイメージしていただくと良いかもしれません。風呂は男性用は大きめの浴場が二つありますが、女性用はなく家族風呂として貸切にしてもらえる風呂を時間制で使うようになっています。いずれも、夜通し入浴可です。食事は夕食880円朝食550円でつけられます。夕食は、おかずは家庭料理です。ごはんはおかわり自由なので、コンビニ弁当より栄養面を考えてもコスパが良いとおもいます。朝食は、チェーン店のモーニングが価格、内容共に充実しているので、外出せずに済ませたい人には便利ですが、おかずの内容からすると微妙です。 フロントの方をはじめ、食堂の方も、感じの良い対応でした。部屋や館内は清掃が行き届いており、また、心遣いが感じられました。トイレが男女共用、古い建物であるための染みついた匂いがあることなどが気にならない人向きです。"

"I stayed here for a business trip. I was prepared for a very small 4.5 tatami mat Japanese-style room, but it was surprisingly cozy and felt just like my own room. The toilet, located at the back of the room, was very clean and pleasant to use. The onsen (hot spring bath) was also empty on a weekday, so I had it all to myself, which was great for soothing the fatigue from a lot of walking. I wonder if it would be packed on weekends? Most of the shops around the station closed abruptly around 5 PM, leaving no dining options, but having a convenience store right across the street was a huge lifesaver. The breakfast was also uncrowded on a weekday, allowing me to enjoy it leisurely. It was Japanese-style and healthy, which I appreciated. Given it's a station in a tourist area and one of the more affordable options around, I'd definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance."

"This was an incredible experience. An old fashioned Japanese inn at a beautiful lake. You get a room with six tatamis, futons, yukatas, some tea to greet you and a beautiful view of the lake. We also had a dinner, which had lots of variety, including locally sourced fish. The owner is a nice old lady, who did not speak English, but we could converse using Google Translate with no issue."

"Except for the excellent location (nearest to Tobu-Nikko Station and the buses stops to various locations and places of interest, the hotel is badly in need of upgrades for it's rooms, facilities and amenities. The room I stayed in is big (compared to most hotel rooms in Japan) but the toilet seat cover keeps falling down while using it. Plenty of cobwebs at corners , especially along the corridor. The bathroom taps is like a 'makeshift' upgrade shared by basin and bathtub. See photo. Good thing is that I can see upgrading and renovation taking place but seems like it has been going on for a very long time already."

"The station is right in front of the hotel. The parking lot is next door. The hotel is clean and seems to have a variety of room designs, so I would definitely like to stay here again. I stayed here the night before playing golf, and I was surprised to find that there was a simulation golf shop on the second floor, which was spacious and clean. Guests received a discount of 2,100 yen for 50 minutes, which I was very happy with. The hotel's website is run by a different company, so there is no information about it, but I hope they provide proper guidance. This would surely increase reservations! The TV remote in the room was covered in dust. There were dead bugs on the bathroom ceiling. There was hair on the wall. Maybe the cleaning wasn't very thorough? I'll stay again."
