Travelers Reviews of Shizuoka Prefecture Hotels

Hanamizuki Onsen Ryokan

”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹 In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍
HOTEL CAPSULE INN SHIZUOKA

I thought it was a capsule hotel, so I thought I would sleep in a coffin, but the room was better than I thought, the size of a goshiwon. It was clean, and the facilities, such as the bathroom and shower, were well organized. You can use the laundry room at a low price. The location is good, right in front of Shizuoka Station. This is the king of cheap accommodations. The only thing is that the wall above the door is open, so the noise from the hallway and other rooms comes in. If you are a traveler who is sensitive to noise, it would be a good idea to buy earplugs at the reception.
Nanadaru Onsen Hotel

The food and service was very good. Unfortunately, there was no hot water and no onsen to use on-site. Concidering it was advertised as an onsen hotel, with outdoor bath, this was very dissapointing. We did however have access to an outdoor onsen 200m/5 min walk away which was nice. While the tatatami room where we slept was clean enough, the bath section of our room was a little dusty, as was the rest of the hotel which is in need of a deep clean, new carpet and general refresh. The staff where lovely and very accomodating.
Select Inn Fujisan Gotemba

The hotel is really old, but the staff attitude and location are very good. Next to Gotemba station, convenient walking distance. There is a Bigday supermarket nearby. For dinner they fed me free udon with curry, I bought breakfast separately for 550 yen and had breakfast with a view of Fuji. Disappointments: very cold room, no hot water, they said that there were technical problems. The staff offered to check into a newer hotel with hot water for free, but I refused, because it was already evening and the journey was almost 1.5 km. In the city in the evenings there are almost no lights, it is a little scary to walk alone.

The first stop of this Japan trip was originally planned to be in Ito, but before leaving, it was changed to Izu Plateau, which is mainly cost-effective and close to the scenic spots. The hotel is indeed very close to the JR station, and it can be walked in about 10 minutes. Indeed, remember to go forward instead of right after exiting the South Gate, because there is a big slope ahead after seeing a supermarket on the right, which is not very friendly to those carrying suitcases. Instead, go straight and you will see a sign at the entrance of a small alley. Turn right and you will see Daiso and then turn left. It is almost flat and you don’t have to worry about even if you have a suitcase. The hotel service is quite good, and the Chinese service is the key. The two girls should be ********* and have no obstacles in communication. In fact, other netizens have introduced a lot of facilities in the hotel. I would like to add that there are electric bicycles for rent, 1,000 yen per day, and the latest return is 22:00. It is better than the rental service in JR in terms of price and time. It is hard to ride to Omuroyama, but it is quite wise to ride to the Jogasaki Coast. It is a rare experience. The boss is also very nice. The service of sending to the station is definitely a perfect ending. Even in the off-season, the hotel is always crowded with customers. Although it is a B&B level, my family is quite satisfied. The public bath reservation system is reserved. You can make an online reservation by scanning the QR code. The toilets are all in the public passage. There are more than one toilet on both floors, so there is not much queuing. If you are traveling to Izu, you don’t have to consider going to a star-level luxury tour. This is definitely recommended!

Much more than expected. It's an impressive hotel that I want to tell others about. The location of the hotel is not far from JR Shizuoka Station, just a 10-minute walk. The room I requested was on a high floor. I got a room on the top floor. Plus a very beautiful view. The room, although small by Japanese standards, is clean and has all the amenities. I sleep well Because there is no noise at all. The hotel also provides breakfast and coffee and tea. The staff provide very good service. Always giving advice and helping as well. Asked for warm water because I wasn't feeling well even though it was already past check-out time. But she hurriedly went to find it for me. Like this, it's a good hotel that should be shared and recommended.

I think this is a new type of hotel and it's great! It's like a guesthouse, but there are partitions so it's comfortable. Everything was clean, including the toilets and showers. Cleansing, lotion, and milky lotion were provided in the bathroom. Other amenities, including towels and toothbrushes, must be purchased, so I recommend bringing your own! You can also drink coffee and tea for free in the shared space. One thing to note is that it is prohibited to make sound from your smartphone, so I recommend bringing headphones. Wi-Fi is available, but I forgot my headphones, so I watched videos on mute (tears)

It seemed to be the day of a fireworks display and was very popular that day. Check-in was done in one part of the coffee shop. We apologize when it is crowded as the general public also enjoys tea. The rooms have air conditioning, but the beds do not, so it feels very hot and difficult to stay there. There are no towels or toothbrushes. You need to bring your own. Earplugs were available at the washbasin. There is only one shower and one toilet, so you have to be patient when others are using them. I woke up in the middle of the night when someone came home and took a shower because of the noise. You have to cross a big road from the station, so it is better to go out with plenty of time to spare.

The location is ideal, close to the beach, parking spaces can be arranged, there are large shopping stores nearby, and the hotel retains the advanced equipment that has been used for many months, which is a bit surprised.

The B&B is on a mountain, quite far away from the seaside. Because it’s up the mountain, it’s quite tiring to go up there. The sanitation and facilities of the B&B are quite satisfactory and quite acceptable. It will be a little more expensive when there is a fireworks display. Although the rule of the B&B is that you cannot smoke anywhere in the B&B, some guests still smoke in the room unconsciously. Because it is a wooden house, the smell of smoke will spread everywhere. When I finally checked out, because there had just been an earthquake in the morning, I couldn't go past the 10 o'clock check-out time for even one minute. I couldn't even sit in the living room for a while and drink some water before leaving. The attitude of the service staff (Chinese) seemed a bit like they were rushing. The way people walked was very unpleasant. I have stayed in so many Japanese hotels and B&Bs and I have never experienced anything like this.
