"Fantastic location, with a subway station right downstairs! The room was clean and spacious, and the mattress was just right—slept like a baby. The front desk staff were warm and helpful, and patiently recommended great local eateries. There's also a convenience store downstairs. I'll definitely stay here again next time, it's incredible value for money!"

"Hotel Sun Plaza is right next to Shin-Imamiya Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Osaka. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there’s even a robot at the front desk! They also welcome guests with a refreshing ice candy. The hotel offers free daily breakfast vouchers (toast and croissant), unlimited complimentary drinks, free earplugs, towels, laundry facilities, vending machines, and a relaxing common area with pleasant background music. One of the highlights is the free Japanese public bath (sentō/大浴場), which is great after a long day of walking. The rooms are simple but well equipped, with a fridge, TV, hangers, adjustable dim lighting, and double-window insulation that keeps the room surprisingly quiet. Smoking and non-smoking options are also available. The location is fantastic for sightseeing—Tsūtenkaku Tower and Tennoji Zoo are about a 5-minute walk away, while Namba and Dotonbori are easily reachable on foot or by train. There are also plenty of Japanese, Indian, Chinese, and other restaurants nearby. For the price, Hotel Sun Plaza offers excellent value and a very convenient base for exploring Osaka. Highly recommended!"

"Tucked away in the forested hills just outside Osaka, Minoh Waterfall is a breathtaking escape from the urban hustle. The paved 2.7-kilometer trail to the falls offers an easy, scenic walk along the river, especially vibrant during autumn when the Japanese maples turn vivid red. Reaching the impressive 33-meter cascade is pure tranquility. Don't forget to try the local delicacy, momiji tempura (deep-fried maple leaves), along the way. It is a absolute must-visit for nature lovers!"

"Upon check-in, I was only given a wooden tag, no key or room card. The capsule bed rooms have magnetic folding doors, which provide privacy but might make you feel less secure about your valuables. The fourth floor is women-only and has both showers and toilets. Washing machines are located on the 2nd and 10th floors, costing 300 yen to wash and 100 yen to dry. I was a bit disappointed because the pictures in the description showed a public bath, but upon arrival, I found out there was only a male bath, no female bath. The free self-service luggage storage is very convenient!"

"## Recommended Points: Incredibly kind and helpful staff! Within walking distance of Tsutenkaku Tower, close to the station. New and clean facilities. ## Access: Approximately a 5-minute walk from Shin-Imamiya Station and Dobutsuen-mae Station. It's a straightforward 5-minute walk along the road from JR Shin-Imamiya Station and Osaka Metro Midosuji Line/Sakaisuji Line Dobutsuen-mae Station. While it's not the safest area, there's traffic even at night and convenience stores nearby, so the path to the hotel isn't dark. I felt safe walking even close to the last train. ## Luggage Storage: Available. Even before check-in, if you ask at the 2F front desk to store your luggage, they'll keep it in the cloakroom next to the front desk. They lock it and the staff handles putting it in and taking it out, so you can store it with peace of mind. You'll receive a numbered tag when you drop it off, and just hand that tag to the staff when you pick it up! ## Breakfast: Optional (880 yen?), until 9:30 AM. I didn't add it, so I don't know the details, but there's a breakfast notice in the elevator, so I assume you can add it if you wish. It's a buffet style in a space that's open as a lounge outside of breakfast hours, and it didn't seem particularly large. ## Details: Check-in is until 10:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM (with an additional charge of 1000 yen per hour for extension)! Check-in time is a bit early, so if you're attending a live event or similar, please be mindful of the time! The front desk is open until 12:00 AM, so you won't be able to check-in if you arrive after midnight. Above all, the staff were incredibly kind and friendly throughout my stay! I had different staff for luggage storage, check-in, and check-out, but they were all genuinely kind, which I found very impressive. I'll definitely want to stay here again the next time I visit Osaka. There were quite a few international guests (from Western countries), but it was quiet when I visited; in fact, my own luggage might have been the noisy one. It's very quiet at night, so be careful when coming and going. Bath towels, face towels, and toothbrushes (?) can be borrowed for free for the first time, I believe. There's information about this at check-in, so just ask if you want them then. There were four shower rooms on my floor. During peak hours, they were sometimes full, but usually became available within about 10 minutes. However, the shower rooms are shoe-free zones, but I noticed a high probability of international guests entering with their shoes on. It wasn't so dirty that it bothered me much, but if you're using it barefoot, it's a bit concerning. Perhaps the 'no shoes' sign is placed on top of the shoe rack by the entrance, making it hard to notice. While aesthetics are important, I think placing the sign on the floor would reduce the number of people entering with shoes on. Overall, it was a really great hostel! If I go to Osaka again, I'd definitely like to stay here!"

"Very close (ab 100 - 200 m) to Namba stns for Nankai Kansai-Airport Express and also JR lines, and a famous Namba walking street. Many halal restaurants nearby. The room though a bit small but is compactly designed for a minimalis living. The free breakfast is very simple but just enough to begin your day. Check in/out is done through a machine with staff assistant."

"The accommodation was incredibly clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. I frequently saw staff members cleaning throughout the day. The toilets, showers, sleeping areas, and locker spaces were all spotless. It's close to Namba Station Exit 25, but I'd recommend taking the escalator at Exit 24 and walking a bit further. Exit 25 has narrow stairs, making it difficult to carry luggage up and down. The location is great for shopping, being close to the famous Glico Man and roughly halfway between Nankai Namba Station and Shinsaibashi Station. There were three minor downsides: Firstly, the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable. Secondly, the sleeping area felt quite sunken, almost as if I was feeling the floor beneath. Thirdly, although the reception is on the 5th floor, the sleeping area is women-only. However, when I stepped out, there were men also present in the common lounge area."

"I booked a quad room, but as it was a holiday and I was traveling alone, I had a room all to myself. The environment was great, but the common area was a bit small, and there were very few cups, utensils, etc., so cooking wasn't an option. The check-in information provided was very thoughtful; they even told me which subway entrance had an elevator."

"5/5　　Vacation ❘ Solo --- This is the kind of hotel you want to return to each time you're in Osaka. The hotel is very new, so everything is exceptionally clean, crisp and gives the feeling of a much more expensive hotel. LOBBY The Lobby area is open, bright and fresh - with a few tables, a bench, with power-points. There's a drinks vending machine and a very high quality coffee/matcha machine at reception which is free to use!! Also a hot-water dispenser and a Microwave available 24/7. There are also separate toilets there. There's a huge TV which you can use to log into all your favourite streaming apps. There's an isolated smoking area for those of you that would need it. They have 3 Laundry washing machines and 3 dryers - which will only cost 480 Yen for a full load to wash and dry. (Get the detergent from reception, and follow the instructions on the door for a warm dry cycle, as it defaults to cool!!) Just ask at reception if you need help!! Internet WiFi speeds are nice and fast.. about 200mb/sec up/down. Which I found to be much higher than average in the places I've stayed in Japan! They have 100 Yen (Returned) Coin-Lockers here which can be used free of charge for 24hrs before/after your stay! ROOMS A lift is available to all floors. The rooms are clean, and adequately sized. The facilities are faultless. Sparkling clean. I like the Japanese-styled toilet, shower/bath, and sink. The lighting in the room is good. The AC is new, so works very well - Ask at reception if you need translation on the remote buttons. This hotel also provides free toothbrushes, razors, hairbrush, bath powder, slippers, bath robe, and if you need to borrow and return - Phone chargers (USB-C and Lightning), Kettle, Iron. All rooms have a small TV, hair-dryer and a packet of earbuds to help you sleep. LOCATION The location is excellent. Straight off the Dobutsuen-mae stop on the Midosuji (red) Line - this makes transit to/from anywhere exceptionally easy and convenient. Yet you can also walk to many local restaurants and shops in this area. You're in the heart of a very touristy area! You have SpaWorld Onsen and Tennoji Zoo within walking distances. So, yes, you are going to hear road noise/sirens and trains running - just use the free ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. I am a light sleeper, but slept very well here - The new beds and new bedding go a long way towards comfort! STAFF All of the staff are warm, polite, and can't do enough to help you enjoy your stay here. Very friendly, almost like a Guest-house style. They really appreciate it if you try to speak Japanese with them. Although they can speak English and will use translate if needed. They take an interest and take time to speak with Guests - If there's anything you need, don't be shy and ask - They will try to help!"
