"The hostel er meget hyggeligt og giver en rigtigt god japansk vibe, men der er ikke så mange toiletter eller brusere på stedet. God temperatur, gode senge, pænt og renligt, men der er ikke rigtigt nogle medarbejdere, da de måtte skære af siden corona, dog finder de nogle rigtig gode alternative løsninger. All in all, hvis du har tænkt dig at overnatte i Nara og gerne vil prøve noget lidt ekstra er dette et fedt sted."

"This place was so cute and excellent. Staff didn't speak much English, but we were able to communicate easily enough. Room was Japanese Ryokan style. Tatami mats, low table. It had everything needed, shower and toilet in the room too. There is also an onsen that you can reserve for your private use. I asked for a time later at night and they still had one spot available. If you can't get a time then it is ”public use” after 22:00, which seems to mean that you might need to share if others want to join. Location was very good, right in the middle of the historic part of town and a short walk (<5 min) to Nara park to see the deer. Hotel was very nice and clean. I was here in late December and the air conditioning heater in the room was very good too."

"I saw Google word of mouth that the next morning rental cycle was free, but now it was 500 yen in 24 hours. As you all say, the washbasin is too narrow and very hard to use. Most amenities are available, but there are no skin care supplies. Towels are only one bath towel per person. Since there are only two outlets in the room (sorry to overlook it ...), I think it is convenient to bring an extension cord. I was a little worried that there was no emergency contact at night. The parking lot は near に Lushan あります. The coin park next to it was 600 yen for 24 hours. Convenience stores and restaurants are also nearby and the location is very good."

"I stayed here for 3 days,it would have been a very nice room to stay in if it wasn't summer and the temperature outside in the mid to high 30s C The room was too hot to sleep until about 1am in the morning, has it had no AC,the bed was comfortable and the view was great but it was way too hot with just the fan It would be a great place to stay in winter, spring or autumn but not summer"

"This is a retro-style hotel that suits my taste. Very Kansai. The window view is beautiful, the room is nice. You can see deer from the balcony. Behind the hotel is a green hill, very chill to take pictures. The downside is that it is quite far from the train station, far from the bus station. But the view is nice and chill. The room has no mirror so you can't put on makeup or curl your hair."

This is an old ryokan with a history. Everything was smooth and beautiful, though we did not speak Japanese, nor the personnel speak our language, we were able to communicate and enjoy open air bath, traditional dinner and breakfast. The stuff is professional, warm and friendly. The area itself is famous for pilgrimage and views. Apart from soaking in a bath, one can walk around the village and visit numerous shrines and one magnificent huge temple, which is absolute must-see. Another delight is the beautiful view from the ryokan window. The same breathtaking feeling may have at the dining hall watching remote hills and the valley down the hill. Very authentic experience of traditional Japanese relax holiday. highly recommended!

Check-in after 15:00. The staff are very friendly, including those who speak English at a sufficient level so that you can understand each other without a translator. The room is spacious, heated/cooled by air conditioning. There is also a kotatsu, under which it is very comfortable to sit, a tea set, including a kettle. Yukata and khvori are very beautiful and comfortable. In the room there is also a memo for foreigners on the correct visit to the onsen (be sure to read it, this is important). There are only two onsen - one large with a view of the river (there are curtains) and one smaller without windows. The water is moderately hot, not scalding. As a dinner, kaiseki was provided with a change of dishes - it was very tasty and VERY much (honestly, we could not eat everything, since we usually eat much less, for which we apologize to the staff)

I stayed here on a solo trip. As other people have said in their reviews, the staff were really polite and welcoming. I was very grateful. The private room was spacious enough just to sleep. The bedding was clean. However, since it's all made of wood, it may be best not to place delicate items directly on it. The washroom and shower room were very clean and easy to use. I would like to stay here again when I visit Tenri (or Nara). Thank you.

Overall, I was quite satisfied, meeting my expectations. The price was relatively reasonable, and the value for money was good. The facilities were complete, with a bathroom and shared washing machine within the B&B. Although there was only one bathroom, I didn't have to worry about long waits. There was also a kitchen available, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The nearest bus stop is 300 meters away, so transportation and the surrounding area are acceptable. The owner is Chinese and speaks Mandarin without any issues. Room 201 was quite small, practically covered entirely with mattresses, and only accommodated a 28-inch suitcase, though the owner had explained in advance. Note that there are few people nearby, and most of them are elderly, so please keep your voice down both on the way and in the room.

Located in a quiet quaint neighborhood. It was storming so I didn't get an opponent to enjoy the river and it's surrounding which the accommodation was just next to. But the spacious room came as a joy but unfortunately the beddings were not comfortable. Could feel the bed springs and the pillow overly soft. Wished that they provided tatami beddings instead. Check in details were not provided via booking on trip.com but thankfully could easily contact the owner via WhatsApp. Overall still a great experience.
