hu Roma Camping In Town

Overall Impression: While the campsite and facilities were commendable, the restaurant experience left much to be desired. Positives: Cleanliness and Comfort: The campsite and units were well-maintained and comfortable. Adequate Pool: The pool, though small, served its purpose for cooling down. Negatives: Restaurant Service: The restaurant staff seemed indifferent, lacking basic hospitality such as a smile. Pricing: The food was considered overpriced for the quality and service provided. Unconventional Serving Style: The practice of serving starters and side dishes together, followed by a main dish without a side dish, was confusing and potentially inconvenient. Recommendations: * Improve Restaurant Service: Consider training staff on hospitality and customer service skills. * Review Pricing: Evaluate the pricing of food items to ensure they align with the quality and value offered. * Clarify Serving Style: Provide clear information about the restaurant's serving style to avoid confusion among guests. Conclusion: While the campsite itself was enjoyable, the restaurant experience was disappointing. Future visitors might want to consider dining off-site or be prepared for a less-than-ideal dining experience.

Termini Central Station
This was such an amazing find! From the friendliness of the staff, to cleanliness of the rooms and the brilliant location - most things were in walking distance and it's close to a metro line. I was here from 29th Dec '24 - 3rd Jan '25. I was initially really sceptical about staying in a hostel... However, to my complete surprise, it was the best decision ever. The staff really made us all feel at home! The bathrooms are cleaned daily. If you want to use a towel, they are available for rent. The beds and drawers are both lockable, and the room I stayed in was a 3 bed female room, which was also locked. On New Years Eve, we were all invited to join in for a special meal. For a low cost, we were served a 3 course home cooked meal! It was absolutely delicious! The diverse group around the table were amazing. We all shared our travel stories and then went off to watch the fireworks at midnight at the colosseum (which is only a 20min walk away). Everyone was super friendly, and I would absolutely recommend Free Hostels Roma to anyone travelling through or alone. What a great way to meet like-minded people!

Termini Central Station
The location is very convenient. Close to metro stations Vittorio Emanuele and Termini easy to get around the area. There's also a supermarket one block away. The staff is really helpful and polite. To use the AC, you need to pay 5 € a night. The beds are comfortable and clean

It is more or less 20mins on foot from Termini station. The bunk bed has no stairs to go to top bed. There is no socket plug in each bed. In the room only one has a socket plug near their bed. You have to pay when you leave your luggage after check out. No towel, shower gel provided. They should add more toilets and shower.

It’s good that this place is just few steps away from Roma Termini and all the restaurants. The only downside is that, you need to give the key to the receptionist when you go out for a tour or buy things outside. Fun fact, they have elevator- the oldest kind of elevator which can fit in 2 people at a time or 2 luggages 🤭.

Colosseo
Had a memorable solo visit in Roma with one night stay in Hotel Romano. I would like to say it's definitely value for money: 1. Perfect location: right besides the Colosseo, great wonders right outsides the window, felt like travelling back to the accient times. 2. Convenient transportation: only 15 minutes to Termini station by walk, 3 minutes to Colosseo metro station. 3. Many restaurants, bars, groceries in surrounding area for multi choices of eating and relax. 4. Old building with traditional decoration and an elevator, room is quiet and a bit tiny but fully equipped with all necessary accomendation items. 5. The old gentlemen in the reception are nice and friendly, made a tour plan with a map for me.

We booked double bed room for 3 nights (private) The room was soooo clean and new (maybe they were renovated?) Toilet, shower, air conditioner, bed, everything has no problem and good quality! You can use a hair dryer at the room. The staff was also kind and nice. They told us good places to visit in Italy. The Location was super, it was only five minutes from Termini station. I saw many bad reviews of this hostel on Google maps, maybe the shared rooms are not good. So I definitely recommend you to book private, double bed room if you visit there with more than 2 people. The price wasn’t much different! Careful: They don’t have a towel and it’s a bit difficult to get into the hostel at the first time.

Piazza della Repubblica
I liked everything. Modern. Clean and, most importantly, quiet. It is definitely better in the summer, a front garden with chairs and tables. What is very inconvenient is that the only electric kettle is in another building. That is, I went down from the 3rd floor, walked through the first floor and the courtyard to go into another building, where the bar and disco are, and on the 2nd floor this kettle. But I did not use it, because it was monstrously clogged with scale 1 cm. I have never seen such a nightmare. This scale from the bottom of the kettle floats on the surface of boiling water. Is it really so difficult to clean it once a week????. Has it ever been cleaned since it existed? Moreover, I really did not like that they charge money for using a towel, which is not returned upon return of the towel. And you do not keep the towel for yourself. That is, in fact, you pay for use. In addition, you need to buy a lock at the reception to lock your things in the box under your bed. Another plus is that there is liquid soap and shampoo

For me everything was perfect here. Exceptionally good location. Very friendly, very clean (special thanks for that), quiet. Comfortable bed and pillows. At the reception they give recommendations on restaurants, on the most interesting places of the city. The apartments have a peculiarity, if they are on the 4th floor, then there is a narrow staircase and no elevator. For me it is not a problem, but if you are physically poorly prepared, you should take this into account. I will gladly come back again and recommend it to everyone.
