Termini Central Station
Exceptional staff and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. I really loved the communal vibe among guests, turning it into more than just a place to stay. The hostel organized evening activities fostering connections. I stayed in a 4-bed dorm room. The bed had a sliding door for extra privacy, comfortable mattress, and spacious storage drawer with a lock. The ensuite bathroom was also spacious. The hostel's location is a dream for avid walkers. I was able to stroll to San Giovanni for the Scala Santa and Basilica San Giovanni di Laterano, as well as to Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and even further to the Colosseum. The proximity to Manzoni, Vittorio Emanuele, and Termini metros made navigating the city a breeze.

This is my first time to Italy. Booked through Jet2. Great location. This was ideal for our 4 night stay. If you are into walking you can walk to most of the main tourist destinations in Rome. Also a 5 min walk to subway. Room was a good size. Fresh towels etc. Vending machines in the reception area for snacks and drinks. The hotel has a secure entry system so only guests can access. Would defo stay here again.

I ended up here after another hotel cancelled our booking and ********** offered this instead. When I eventually saw the reviews on Trip Advisor I was a bit worried as the rating was worse than ********** . The room (107) though was OK, it had its own bathroom (not all do) and was reasonably clean. They cleaned and made the beds every day. The shower was a bit of a challenge with going from too hot to cold with just the slightest adjustment. The room was on 1st floor looking over a street with a tram and restaurant. Being in the city centre it was of course quite noisy if you had the windows open. With our booking breakfast was not included so was 10€ extra if you wanted it. We decided it was more fun and probably better to go out and find breakfast although this in many cases then cost a little more. An added bonus was a safe in the room. There were mainly 3 people at reception 1 friendly, another indifferent and a 3rd who gave the impression he would rather be somewhere else. Overall for the price I thought it was OK. In the summer I would definitely go a bit more upmarket and look for a place with air conditioning in the rooms. Almost forgot other big advantage is location , so close to main train station.

Colosseo
Had a memorable solo visit in Roma with one night stay in Hotel Romano. I would like to say it's definitely value for money: 1. Perfect location: right besides the Colosseo, great wonders right outsides the window, felt like travelling back to the accient times. 2. Convenient transportation: only 15 minutes to Termini station by walk, 3 minutes to Colosseo metro station. 3. Many restaurants, bars, groceries in surrounding area for multi choices of eating and relax. 4. Old building with traditional decoration and an elevator, room is quiet and a bit tiny but fully equipped with all necessary accomendation items. 5. The old gentlemen in the reception are nice and friendly, made a tour plan with a map for me.

The location is very central for all tourist sites, there is no need to take any means of transport, as well as the airport bus route passes 5 minutes walking from the hotel. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable, especially with a staff who took care of the rounds when I was present.

Piazza della Repubblica
I would give 3.5 Stars. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm room. It was fine, but the mattress wasn't all that comfortable and they didn't have a fitted sheet on it. I had to tuck the flat sheet around it myself and then it would loosen up over night. They had lockers but no locks for them, you had to bring your own. It kind of bugged me that they charged me 2 euros to store my luggage on the day I checked out until it was time for my train to the next part of my trip. I've stayed in hostels all over the world and this is the only place I've ever been charged extra for luggage storage. Now for the good stuff, it was clean and the decorations were cute. The breakfast was AMAZING, definitely worth it to book the rate that includes breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful and they had some nice places to hang out and relax. The location was excellent as well.
