Appartéa Grenoble Alpexpo

Hello, I booked this hotel for the good location to the place I had to visit, however it is far away from the city center. But there is a tram stop and a big shopping mall very close to this hotel. First of all the reception is NOT open 24 hours, and they close late at night(check the hours) and also 13-15 on weekends. the staff are very very nice, all of them they changed almost every day and all of them were nice. The room and bathroom is spacious and they provide soap and shampoo. The downside for me was that the room was smelly, my guess is the smell comes from pets' pee because pets are allowed in the hotel. The carpets were old and full of stains. There is a mini kitchenette in the room with a well functioning stove and good utilities. An electric kettle is missing in the room. the Wi-Fi works well and the speed is good. the heating system works perfect and the room had good temperature. The mattress lack the necessary firmness but its okay for a few nights.

We came last week, at our bike periphery. David, the hotel manager, has welcomed us very well and really so that our night passes as well as possible. The hotel is very comfortable and quiet, far from the road agitation of Moûtiers. Breakfast is very copiel. Thanks David for your professionalism!

Greet Hôtel Prévessin Genève Aéroport
3.9/556 Reviews
I stayed there for 2 nights where I was on business trip in Geneva. The staff by the reception were rude and not service-minded. There is no wine opener in the room. So I went down to reception to borrow one. The staff told me he could not let me take it and I have to bring the bottle down and open it there! It was such a humiliating experience. The staff were slow and sloppy. The facilities was poor. The room is very small and has only bed, a small table and a chair. No hairdryer, no ironing board, no bottle opener, no cups or glass. It was very expensive comparing what I got. The location is not convenient. It is in the middle of nowhere. The grocery store nearby closes early.
Premiere Classe Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu

15min walk from Lyon Part Dieu. Due to construction works, walking and dragging luggage became challenging and not as direct. There was a huge Westfield Mall where you can shop and dine. 10min walk to car rental office. There was a pickup area for us to load up luggage to our rental car just beside the hotel. Check-in process was a bliss. Staff was friendly. Sanitisers were always available. Room was relatively much smaller than Paris hotel. Barely enough space for 2x large luggage. Nevertheless, room was clean and dust-free. Toilet had decent space. Recommended for as a stopover hotel. Probably a night stay.
Ibis Budget Lyon Gerland

7th arr. Gerland
Stayed for 2 nights (2 adults & 1 kid) Positives: Clean hotel - To be expected from any Ibis Budget Helpful staff - To be expected from any Ibis Budget Basic amenities - microwave at reception / cold drinking water (may not be complementary but staff let us refill our bottles) Ample car parking - We didn't use since we were not driving McDonalds next door - Helpful only if you are a McD person which I am not!!! Negatives: Rooms are not air conditioned - not sure if that is the case with all Ibis budget hotels but it could get uncomfortable in June nights Location is kind of secluded - can be slightly scary to go out after dark (especially with family) Not too many restaurants (except McD ofcourse), bars, supermarkets nearby Metro station is a good 800-900 mt away so can get tedious if you plan to walk to metro station multiple times a day

It was my first time solo travelling as a woman, and I felt very safe in this hotel and its areas. I was in the blue 4 bed female dorm, which was very calming. I don't think I would have felt as relaxed in the yellow rooms though. The hotel is aesthetic and rooms have AC. The walls are not very soundproof, but the bed is very comfortable so it evens out. The location is a bit far from the metro which can be sometimes frustrating, but it was overall a great stay!

2nd arr.

The train station is downstairs, but it is very quiet, without any rumbling or clicking noises. There is a very large shopping mall next to it, so it is very convenient to eat. The front desk is also very friendly. I forgot to bring something after I left. Although I communicated for a long time and the guy on duty did not take over, the girl who worked the next day helped me find it and mailed it. I am very grateful. The room is very clean. You can also choose to walk to the old town, which is very convenient for people who want to take the train. It is only a few dozen meters downstairs, so there is no need to worry.
Hôtel Evan
4.1/536 Reviews
We are regular customers of Hotel Evan as it meets most of our requirements for a one night stopover on our way back from our place in Spain. Our only criticism would be the rather cramped space in the rooms - fine for one person, not so good for two people. However it's very good value for the rate per night. Food, service, cleanliness are excellent.
