For Muslim travellers, halal food is available around the area, but most halal restaurants are not within walking distance. You’ll need to take a DiDi to get to them, so it’s something to keep in mind when choosing this hotel.

"Wow what a location and view from the rooftop. Also one of the best welcomes I've ever received. Once the owner discovered I could speak Mandarin and am from the UK, he was over the moon and gave me a free upgrade on the room with a great view of the courtyard.
The rooftop reveals just how well located the hotel is right in the centre of Lijiang. It is however off the main tourist arteries just enough that it is quiet.
Highly recommend for anyone staying in Lijiang."

"This stay was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is only a 10-15 minute drive from the airport. It's located in a village, which makes the location a bit off the beaten path, but that's perfectly fine as they offer airport shuttle service. We arrived at Changshui Airport at 2 AM on our first day. After collecting our luggage, we contacted the hotel for pickup. Even though it was raining heavily that night, the hotel was fantastic and was already waiting for us in the parking lot. Since we had to catch a high-speed train to Dali the next day, the hotel even dropped us off at the nearby subway station. When we returned to Kunming on our last day, we chose to stay at this hotel again. The staff here are incredibly enthusiastic; they recommended local breakfast spots and hot pot restaurants, all of which were delicious and very affordable. Because it was pouring rain that day, the hotel even went out of its way to drive us to the restaurant for dinner. The hotel is a good distance from the airport, so it wasn't as noisy at night as I expected; if you don't listen carefully, you can barely hear the planes landing. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers transiting through Kunming or those who want to be close to the airport without the noise. On a side note, dining in the village where the hotel is located is super convenient. There are restaurants within a 100-meter walk from the hotel, and the food suited our out-of-town tastes perfectly. I've included the name of the hot pot restaurant we went to; it was genuinely affordable, tasty, and the portions were generous. If I have the chance, I would definitely choose to stay here again. The only downside is that there's no place to hang clothes or towels in the room, only in the bathroom. I hope the hotel can add some racks or hooks for guests to hang their belongings."

There are two large shopping malls near the hotel, one Bailian Square, opposite the hotel, 126 meters away; and one Shuncheng Shopping Center, 273 meters away. "Overall, the service was good and the staff were helpful. The bed was also comfortable and everything was fine during our stay.
The biggest issue for me was the bathroom design. There is no proper barrier between the shower area and the rest of the bathroom, so the floor gets very wet after showering. I actually slipped and fell once because of the wet floor, so I think this is something the hotel should improve for guests’ safety.
On the positive side, the hotel is located right in the heart of the city, so it’s very convenient and close to many places. For Muslim travellers, it’s also very easy to find halal food as there are plenty of halal restaurants around the area.
One thing to note is that DiDi usually drops passengers at Four Seasons, and from there you need to walk around 200 metres to reach the hotel. Not a big issue, but good to know in advance.
Overall, the location is excellent and very convenient, but I hope the hotel can improve the bathroom design to make it safer for guests."

"Location: Great location right on Nanping Road, with several bubble tea shops downstairs and close to the pedestrian street, making it super convenient for late-night snacks.
Hygiene: Decent, though there seemed to be some mold on the ceiling and similar areas.
Facilities: The curtains had a slight flaw, but everything else was fine. A tip: check the weather forecast before booking the starry sky room; the sound of rain can be so loud it's impossible to sleep.

"## Environment:
The overall experience was very good. It's very close to Kunming Station, just a short walk away, making it convenient for sightseeing. The room's screen mirroring feature allowed us to watch live programs, which was great for catching up on news in the evening and learning about Yunnan's local customs and culture.
Our 'Xiaozhu' king-sized bed room had no windows, but it wasn't a big deal since we only stayed there at night. The only minor inconvenience was not knowing what time it was in the morning when waking up.
## Service:
The staff were very friendly, and we could store our luggage at the front desk.
## Hygiene:
Generally, it was clean, although there were some dirty marks on certain parts of the walls.
## Facilities:
The bathroom was a three-fixture design, and amenities like a hairdryer, air conditioning, and projector were all provided and quite new. However, the hot water for the shower sometimes took a long time to heat up in the evening, which they attributed to our room being on a higher floor.
Overall, the experience was very good, and it offered great value for money. Waiting for the elevator to the 19th floor sometimes took a while, and the soundproofing was decent. For the price, it was definitely worth it."

Two meals cooked by the landlady completely saved my stomach, which had been thoroughly ruined by Yunnan cuisine…
Reasons to recommend:
1️⃣ The courtyard is located at the foot of the mountain. Opening the window, you can hear the Jinsha River flowing by – the sound is incredibly soothing, like being back at grandma's house. Plus, the landlady is super nice; she even helped us hang up our clothes!
2️⃣ The overall decor is rustic and clean, with a cozy atmosphere. The courtyard is beautifully maintained.
3️⃣ The highlight is the landlady's cooking!! Her chickens are home-raised black-boned chickens, freshly slaughtered and cooked…it was delicious from the very first bite!! The chicken was tender and juicy, and the broth was rich and flavorful. We were worried we wouldn't be able to finish the whole chicken that night, so we decided to eat half that evening and the other half the next day. (The next day, they added huge matsutake mushrooms they'd picked from the mountain to the chicken soup—it was absolutely delicious!!! We also got to eat wild mushrooms she'd gathered! So fresh it was amazing!!) We initially wanted to try something different the next day, but we couldn't resist having it again! Also: all the vegetables in their restaurant are homegrown.
We'd been traveling in Yunnan for ten days and hadn't found anything that suited our tastes. We were almost disappointed with Yunnan cuisine… but then we were won over by the owner's cooking at this place. My partner and I both agreed: this was the most satisfying meal we'd had in Yunnan! It was a truly delightful experience.
In short: Highly recommended!! And you absolutely must try the owner's cooking!!"

The young owner rents a mansion building in the heart of Kunming and operates it as an accommodation.
First of all, he is incredibly friendly, and I got the impression that he is doing his best to run the hostel.
The location is a given. It is in the best central area of Kunming, just a five-minute walk from Kunming Old Street.
Although the interior is generally small, every corner is utilized effectively to create a comfortable layout for guests.
The restrooms and bathrooms are not spacious, but they are kept clean to ensure guests are not inconvenienced, and amenities such as shampoo and toothpaste are fully provided.
Furthermore, the view of the Kunming cityscape from the 18th-floor window is a gift comparable to that of a luxury hotel.
I have never given a perfect 10 to any accommodation before, but I would give this hostel a perfect 10 for its value for money.
If you are a backpacker visiting Kunming, you must go to Oli Hostel!

The owner is a very, very thoughtful man from Northeast China. Seeing that I was a young woman and worried I wouldn't be able to carry my luggage, he offered to help me carry it upstairs. He's available 24/7 by phone. The location is excellent; it's just a short walk to a taxi stand and very close to the Starlight Night Market, only a few turns away. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area. I mentioned I'm a light sleeper, and he kindly arranged a very quiet room for me on the far side – truly a peaceful oasis. I also rented their electric scooter, and the owner charged it for me every night, so I didn't have to worry about it at all. It was fully charged when I woke up, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Traveling with such kindness made me feel so warm and cared for. Thank you, Uncle! This experience has further enhanced my positive impression of people from Northern China.

Guest UserThe breakfast with minced pork rice noodles was delicious! The owner, a retired serviceman, was incredibly kind and provided excellent service. The room had a beautiful view, facing Cangshan Mountain and backing onto Erhai Lake, and it was very spacious. Great value for money! The only downside is that the soundproofing isn't great; even with the windows closed during the day, you can still hear the music from Sanyue Street. Also, the walk from the guesthouse to the main road is a few hundred meters down a very dark alley, which can be a bit spooky at night if you're alone.

Guest UserThis hotel is excellent! I originally came to Panlong for business and just randomly booked a hotel since I knew I'd be switching. To my surprise, I found it so comfortable after checking in that I decided to extend my stay – and ended up staying for four nights! A special thanks to the lovely front desk lady with the round face. On the first night, my family of three stayed in a king-size room, and she gave us a room with a three-meter-wide bed. The next day, I mentioned the room felt a bit small, and she graciously upgraded us to a twin room, really accommodating my needs. Her service was top-notch! The hotel is clean, hygienic, and all the facilities are complete, new, and in great condition. The bed was comfortable, and the price was fantastic – very budget-friendly! Next time I'm in Kunming, I'll definitely consider this hotel first. There's parking available, and it's easy to catch a taxi. Plus, the Ruiding City Shopping Center is just next door, which is incredibly convenient! Highly recommend! This is genuinely the first time I've written such a long review just because of a hotel stay! I didn't take any photos, but it looks exactly like the pictures!!

JizhuxunI specifically booked this hotel for my trip to Songzanlin Monastery, as it offered the best value for money within the scenic area, and my stay was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, extremely close to the monastery, making getting around super convenient. It only takes a few minutes to reach the observation deck! Plus, from the windows of the hotel's lounge area, you can look down onto Naizi River Park! The hotel itself is quiet and the entire place is impeccably clean. Most importantly, the front desk lady was incredibly kind and patiently answered all my questions. Breakfast was also included, making it fantastic value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time! ~(≧▽≦)/~

I found a truly wonderful place to stay in Lijiang. It was more than just a place to sleep; it was a place where I met wonderful people and received a warm welcome during my trip, so I really wanted to leave a review.
1. Excellent Location
A colleague who recommended the trip to Lijiang told me that cars cannot enter the Old Town and that the many stone paths make it difficult to drag a suitcase around. So, I looked for accommodation within the Old Town that wasn't too far from the main road, and it was an excellent choice!
There is a bus that goes to the accommodation in front of the train station. The bus doesn't have a name, but if you look at the route map next to the door, you just need to take the bus marked ”Guanwei” (古管委). (5 yuan) It takes less than 5 minutes from the stop to the accommodation (2-3 minutes if you don't have a suitcase), and since it is located just slightly away from the center of the Old Town, it is very quiet while still offering great accessibility. It was especially nice to walk back to the accommodation slowly after sightseeing at Chongyi Market at night.
You can walk to Heilongtan and the Lion Mountain viewpoint, and you can also catch the bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge near the aforementioned stop. 2. A Charming and Pretty Accommodation
The owner told me that the building is about 40 years old, and they have beautifully decorated every corner while preserving the atmosphere of the old structure.
Every single interior decoration item was so pretty and cute that it was fun just looking around the accommodation. Above all, the yard was truly wonderful. I was happy just sitting in the yard, zoning out, without doing anything special.
+ I don't have any photos of the accommodation itself. The owner gifted me an oxygen tank, and I took a photo to prove it, which I am attaching. The atmosphere was insane.
3. Travelers from Various Countries
In all the accommodations I have stayed at so far, I only met Chinese guests, but here, I met travelers from Malaysia, the UK, and Canada.
In the evenings, we all ate home-cooked meals prepared by the owner, and the owner even took me to a Chinese Yi festival. Thanks to this, I was able to naturally become friends with other travelers and create wonderful memories even while traveling alone.
4. (Most Important) The Warm and Kind Owner Couple
This is the biggest reason why my experience at this accommodation was so special! The owners spoke English, but I couldn't speak Chinese, so we didn't communicate very well. Despite this, they prepared delicious tea for us every day and went out of their way to ensure I could join in the conversation, even using a translator. (The Pu'er tea and Gong Cha were so delicious!!)
When we went to Tiger Leaping Gorge, they personally helped us with booking the bus and accommodation, making our trip incredibly comfortable. Seeing how they constantly worried about me and looked after me throughout the trip, I could feel their genuine concern for me.
My time in Lijiang felt like a dream, but meeting this guesthouse and the owners was a particularly cherished memory. I was truly grateful that people I met in an unfamiliar city could treat me so warmly.
If I ever go back to Lijiang, I will stay here again without hesitation. I highly recommend this place not only to those looking for a comfortable place to stay but also to anyone who wants to meet warm-hearted people while traveling.

My friend highly recommended this place, saying the area is fantastic and super convenient, and the shuttle service was a huge plus. The shuttle service to/from the South High-Speed Rail Station was excellent. Overall, the service was truly impeccable, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby.
