"It's 2 AM, and I can't sleep after writing this review in the courtyard, so I just got up and sat here. The night in Liuxing Street is so quiet, with only occasional dog barks and distant lights. The moon hangs above the apple tree. I've stayed at this hostel for three days and will be leaving tomorrow. There are some things I want to write down before I forget. First, let's talk about hygiene. I have a peculiar habit: the first thing I do when entering a room is to feel the tabletop and windowsill. And truly, it was spotless. The floor is wood-grain tile, and walking barefoot on it felt perfectly clean. The bedding was freshly changed and smelled warm, like it had been sun-dried. There wasn't a single hair on the public restroom floor, and the trash cans weren't emptied only when overflowing. What touched me most was that the cups in the wash area were placed upside down in a sterilizer cabinet, for guests to use. Yes, a sterilizer cabinet. Location: It's in an alley in Liuxing Street, but very easy to find. Turn right out of the door, and a small alley leads directly to the main street. To the left is an old residential area, perfect for aimless wandering. It's about seven or eight minutes' walk to the Alexander Accordion Museum and also to the famous ice cream shop. If you, like me, enjoy walking and exploring small alleys, this place is a paradise. There are three bus stops nearby, making it convenient to go to Kaxgar and Hanren Street. Service: The front desk staff was a girl with a ponytail, and her voice was soft. It was drizzling when I arrived on the first day, and she handed me a dry towel to wipe my hair. When I came back late at night, I found a message on the small blackboard at the entrance: 'There's yogurt in the fridge, help yourself.' I thought it was for a fee, but when I asked the next day, she smiled and said, 'It's free, we worry you might get overheated in this weather.' When I left, I forgot my power bank, and she chased me down two alleys. Facilities: The beds are incredibly stable; the bunk beds don't wobble. Each bunk has a curtain, a light, two power outlets, and a small shelf, perfect for a phone and glasses. The common area has a water dispenser (with both hot and cold water), a microwave, a refrigerator, and a toaster. There's also a washing machine that can be used by scanning a QR code. The most pleasant surprise was a small bookshelf with not many books, but a few picture books about Ali, which made me want to visit Mount Kailash as I flipped through them. Atmosphere: Unlike some hostels that deliberately force social interaction, the atmosphere here is very natural. In the evening, someone played the Dombra in the courtyard, while others just listened quietly. There was an older gentleman who had just returned from a pilgrimage, his feet still swollen, sitting on the steps drinking sweet tea, and no one disturbed him. Occasionally, people would strike up a conversation, also in soft voices. I'm sitting in the courtyard now, and the evening breeze is a little cool. The moon is bright, and I can see the shadows of the clouds. I'll probably feel a bit reluctant to leave tomorrow. But it's okay; I know I'll be back. The night of Liuxing Street, the dream of Mount Kailash, and the gentleness of this little courtyard all remind me why I'm always on the road."

"Pet-friendly, which was great! Just a heads-up for the next guest reading this: the navigation can be a bit off. When you're getting close, give the hotel a call. I got led into a dead-end this time with no room to turn around, and had to back out (cars parked on both sides of the alley). After a 10-hour drive, I was pretty beat and had to ask the staff for help."

"I don't recommend staying in a capsule room. There are usually more men in mixed-gender rooms, and smoking and drinking are the norm. Most Uyghur **zang smoke. If there are any issues, the Han Chinese owner will just tell them off, but won't change rooms. He'll just make excuses, saying there aren't enough women staying in capsule rooms, and I can't leave the room empty. If you don't care about female customers, why mix genders? 😂 What does it have to do with me whether you have a room available or not? My stay was terrible. I couldn't get a room with more women, no smoke, and a quieter room. The beautiful Uyghur front desk clerk said I checked in at noon and couldn't change. It was hilarious. There weren't any Uyghur guys drinking, smoking, or singing shirtless at noon. 😂 If you want good service, don't consider this place."

"This homestay is really 😌! The room is large in size, cleaned spotlessly, the bed is particularly comfortable to sleep, the balcony can directly see the mountain view, sitting outside is too comfortable. Also gave us a free upgrade of the room type! A large lawn in the yard, the photos are very good. The boss is very enthusiastic. She is enthusiastic to help if she has anything to do. The surrounding facilities are also relatively complete and convenient to travel. When I left, I gave me a small dumpling dry flower bag. It’s not almost the Dragon Boat Festival. It’s so cute. ~"

"I ended up staying three nights. It's a very nice hostel. The staff is kind and helpful. The facilities get cleaned every day. It's located not too far from the old town and in a very quiet neighborhood. There are still restaurants and many shops close by. The wifi is slow and not always working but you can do laundry for free. I was glad to be in the dorm room on the third floor to get some fresh air in the room:)"

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever. -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

AAnonymous UserI'd like to highlight the pros of this hotel from several aspects: 1. **Great Value:** The price is affordable, offering excellent value for money. 2. **Prime Location:** It's very close to attractions, just 50 meters from the west entrance of Kashgar Old City and a mere 150 meters to the famous Century-Old Teahouse – incredibly convenient. 3. **Excellent Transportation:** Getting around is easy. A ride-share from the airport costs only 15 yuan. If taking public transport from the airport, you can catch bus No. 2 to Sizhong Bus Station, then transfer to bus No. 6 or No. 20 and get off at China Telecom Station. From there, turn left and walk back about 100 meters to reach the hotel at Kumudaiwazha Road No. 76. If coming from the train station, take bus No. 20 to China Telecom Station, cross the pedestrian bridge, and you'll find the hotel at Kumudaiwazha Road No. 76. 4. **Dining & Amenities:** There are many local ethnic restaurants surrounding the inn; you just need to walk downstairs. A notable perk is the abundance of fruit vendors below the inn, selling fresh and inexpensive fruit. 5. **Facilities & Environment:** The hotel is well-equipped, clean, and tidy, with a pleasant environment. The staff's service is particularly outstanding. If I ever visit Kashgar again, I will definitely stay here! And I'll certainly recommend it to any friends visiting Kashgar!

The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. JJanet, MalaysiaThe homestay owner, Chen Fang sister is an absolutely lively character. She is warm and welcoming! As soon as we reached the entry point to Baihaba village, she picked us up from the car park at the entry point. She is very sociable and made us feel extremely comfortable. In that 10 mins ride, she managed to gave us an overview of the village and recommended places that we can visit including the horse ride to the peak. This is a must-try! The sunset view is absolutely amazing! Do try this. Her sister is also very caring. The room was a little cold at night and when we informed her, she came over herself to help adjust the temperature. Needless to say, we slept very well that night. The room was clean and beddings were very comfortable. The only improvement would be to offer towels, instead of the disposable ones. Everything else was great! No breakfast is provided with the homestay (or at least we didn't book it). There are many eateries and shops around us within walking distance so the location is perfect. For the horse ride, she arranged for the horse riding company to send a car to pick us up to the riding location. And of course, dropped us back to the homestay afterwards. This was one of the most memorable day throughout our Kanas holiday! Thank you sisters for your warm welcome! Highly recommended!

GGuest UserI broke my leg, and every single person at this hotel—the lovely ladies at the front desk, the handsome young men, the uncle who's an excellent driver, and the kind cleaning aunties—was incredibly wonderful and responsible. They helped me with my luggage, pushed my wheelchair, and even heated up my food. Every thoughtful gesture was evident in the details, making me feel incredibly warm and cared for while traveling alone. I originally thought, after breaking my leg on my first day of skiing at Genjun Mountain, that I wouldn't come back. But because of everyone at this hotel, I will definitely bring my friends here again! I sincerely recommend everyone stay at this hotel. It's clean, comfortable, warm, and offers 100% friendly service. Happy New Year! I wish the owner a prosperous business and everyone good health and success~

AAnonymous UserThe location is very good, on the side of the national road, parking space is large, a few minutes drive from the west gate of Nalati Scenic Area. The traffic jam in the east gate of Nalati Scenic Area is serious, and it is much more convenient to play near the west gate. After the boss saw that the reservation was quiet, he also contacted in advance to inform that the special room was outside the courtyard for eating and close to the street, and there might be noise. After the actual stay, it was okay. On the one hand, the double-glazed soundproofing was good, and on the other hand, he brought his own earplugs. The room is spacious and the curtains have a good shading effect. If there is one more chair, it will be more convenient to put things. From the homestay, you can look at the Nalati Valley grassland across the Gongnaisi River. The scenery is very beautiful. I met several tourists who took travel photographs.

GGuest UserHostel is about 5 - 7 minutes away from the ”Sports Centre” metro station, which is about 25+ minutes from the airport. The hostel entrance is next to the Tesla shop, and you have to press the buzzer, for the security guard to open the gate for you. Then, after writing your name down in the guest-book, you go up to the 10th floor in the lift. (Check the other reviews here, for a picture of the gate/door to the building) The staff speak little to no English, but they are very helpful. They will try to solve your issues, as long as you patient with the translation software. Also, it is difficult for staff to check you in, if you do not have a contact number or Alipay/Wechat contact. (This is a CN Govt requirement) The dorm rooms are basic and you may get the city views. There are no privacy curtains and there was no air-con, in my one. The hostel staff can provide fans, but we did not need any, as it was still cool at night. The beds are OK. There is a bathroom in the dorm room too, but there was almost no privacy for the bathroom, as there was a gap between the door for others to see and you can see through the frosted glass into the bathroom too! The hostel is relatively clean, quiet and well-located, except there may be other local guests, who are loud and smoke sometimes in the other rooms. Next to the hostel is a nice up-market shopping centre and with really lots to eat, in the food-court on the 3rd floor.
