"I had a great one-night stay at Grande Hotel Macau. Overall, the hotel was really convenient, clean and spacious, especially considering that we were a group of five. The location was probably one of my favourite things about the hotel. Getting there from the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal was quite convenient by bus, and the bus fare was only around HK$6 per person. Just remember to bring some cash, as we found that Alipay wasn’t really usable for us in Macau. Once you’re at the hotel, a lot of the main attractions are within walking distance. We could walk to Grand Lisboa, the Ruins of St. Paul’s and the nearby historic churches. Most places were around a 15–20 minute walk at most, which was really convenient. The room was also surprisingly spacious and very clean. For five people, we had plenty of space, and the room had a really nice view as well. The amenities were good and everything felt well maintained. One small thing to note is that the toilet door isn’t completely private. There are some gaps and the door is somewhat translucent. The shower itself is positioned on the other side, so you can’t actually see someone showering, but if you’re staying with friends or people you’re not very close with, you might prefer a more private bathroom setup. The bed was quite hard and had disposable sheets over it, which I initially wasn’t sure about. Surprisingly, though, I actually slept really well and it ended up being one of the best nights of sleep I had during my trip! As for the service, I didn’t have much interaction with the receptionist, but during check-in I felt that the staff member serving us seemed a little uninterested and wasn’t particularly welcoming. It wasn’t a major issue since everything else went smoothly, but it’s something that could be improved. Overall, though, I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and spacious, the location was excellent, and the hotel was very convenient for exploring Macau. For a one-night stay with friends, I would definitely consider staying here again."

"¥6,600 per night! A super satisfying and stylish hotel near Senado Square in Macau, perfect for women travelers. I stayed for 3 nights on my solo trip to Macau. Honestly, this is the best value-for-money hotel that I almost don't want to tell anyone about! Even though it's a two-star hotel, the service from the reception and cleaning staff was on par with a four-star. Both the location and the room quality were far better than I expected. 📍 Access & Location The hotel is located in the Macau Peninsula area, which is very convenient for sightseeing. It's in the direction of Senado Square and Grand Lisboa. This time, I traveled from Hong Kong using a free campaign bus, crossed the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, and entered Macau from the Macau immigration office (Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Macau Port). From there, taking bus 101 is a smooth ride. I got off at the ”Silo do Porto Internacional” bus stop, and it was about a 2-minute walk to the hotel. It was my first time using the bus, but it was very easy to understand. Access to Cotai area (Venetian, Londoner, Parisian, etc.) is also possible by bus in about 25 minutes. Even I, who am terrible with directions, managed to navigate the bus system perfectly this time! It's convenient for going anywhere, and there are restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, allowing you to fully experience the local atmosphere. ✨ Hotel Atmosphere & Service The male receptionists, both day and night, were very kind and incredibly friendly. When I asked if I could take photos of the lobby, they even hid so as not to be in the shot, and their explanations were very thorough. The lobby isn't large, but it has a water dispenser, chairs, and even sells souvenir snacks. It's clean and has a very cute atmosphere. 🫢 Cautionary Notes‼️ A deposit of approximately ¥10,000 JPY is required. I paid by credit card at check-in and was told it would be refunded at check-out, but it hasn't been returned even after more than a week. However, I also paid a deposit in Hong Kong afterward, which also hasn't been refunded yet, so it might just take a bit longer. 🛏 Room Details I had a double room. It might be a bit cramped for two people, but it's more than spacious enough for a solo traveler! Although there's no bathtub, the shower stall is large, and there's a partition separating it from the toilet, so it's not inconvenient. The cups and decorations have a very cute Asian flair, and amenities like toothbrushes, razors, and combs are well-stocked. 🧐 Points of Concern: ① The hotel's promotional photos showed L'Occitane shampoo, but in reality, it was a different brand. ② Only the first bottle of water is complimentary; after that, you're expected to refill from the water dispenser at the front desk. There are also shops and pharmacies nearby where you can buy inexpensive water. To be honest, the water from the dispenser didn't quite suit my Japanese palate and tasted a bit like tap water. ④ There was a window, but it couldn't be opened, and outside the window was the balcony of a private residence. ⑤ The air conditioning is very effective, which is a great point for those who get hot easily. 💻 As for Wi-Fi, I connected two mobile phones (iPhone and Android) and had no problems at all watching Instagram or YouTube! It was fast and stress-free ✨ ChatGPT showed that it's not available in Macau and Hong Kong, but Gemini works. ⭐️Overall Review⭐️ For 3 days, I only requested trash disposal and towel changes, not a full room cleaning. The cleaning staff were always friendly and would always ask with a smile, ”Are your amenities and tea bags topped up?” There were guests in the adjacent rooms, but I had no concerns about noise and could spend the nights quietly and comfortably. "My stay here was fantastic! The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was great. What impressed me most was the front desk staff – they were warm and attentive, and check-in and check-out were both very efficient. It really made me feel welcome. "The night we stayed there, my elderly parents and kids were covered in bites on their legs, and we didn't know what caused them. We asked the hotel for an electronic mosquito repellent that night, and they also changed our sheets, but it didn't help. After two nights, our whole family had legs full of bites. It's been five days since we got back, and the bites still haven't gone down and are incredibly itchy. We suspect they're flea bites. We'd stayed in hotels in Shenzhen and Zhuhai for several days consecutively without any such issues. Although the hotel was very proactive in changing the sheets and their service was otherwise fine, the problem of being bitten by insects was never resolved. If they were mosquito bites, that would be normal, but these clearly aren't. They're bites from some kind of small insect....."

"I only stayed for one night, and as soon as I entered the room, there was a smoky smell. Since it's a non-smoking hotel, it probably wasn't someone smoking in the room, but rather due to poor ventilation. Those sensitive to smoke should consider this carefully. The single room, though small, had everything one needs, making it quite suitable for solo travelers. It came with slippers, bottled water, and toiletries. The location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby and a convenient old restaurant on the hotel's first floor. Bus stops are also close, and you can walk to Senado Square. However, perhaps because it's an old street, the road isn't very even, making it a bit difficult to drag luggage."

To find a hotel of this caliber at this price in Macau is truly exceptional. **Facilities:** The facilities were by far the most satisfying part. A hairdryer, safe, complimentary black tea bags, bottled water, bags, a welcome note upon arrival, and a smart TV – everything you'd expect from a very standard hotel was provided. It's truly surprising to find such comprehensive facilities at this price; even hotels in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong at the same price don't offer this much. **Hygiene:** Overall, it was quite good and very clean. **Environment:** The hotel lobby was also very nice, and the corridors were beautifully decorated. The location is excellent too. The electric curtains allow you to see the streetscape outside, and the entire street leading in is charming. The hotel is tucked away in a small alley. **Service:** Both front desk staff who checked me in and the cleaning lady had incredibly good attitudes. Very, very satisfied."

The motel is in a strategic location, surrounded by plenty of shops, restaurants, and local eateries, making it very convenient for travelers. Within a 10-minute walk, you can easily enjoy shopping at popular stores such as SaSa, Nike, Adidas, and Puma, as well as explore the nearby food and beverage options. The room was spacious enough for a comfortable stay, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. "The hotel's bedding and toiletries were all disposable, which felt very hygienic, and the disposable bath towels were surprisingly thick – you can tell they put thought into their procurement. The room floors were sparkling clean. The front desk staff were also very warm and patient in their communication. For this price, the hotel offers incredible value for money. I highly recommend everyone stay here; it's close to the Ruins of St. Paul's and other attractions. Oh, and to the right when you exit the hotel, there's a breakfast spot run by an old lady. You have to walk a bit, but her dim sum is really authentic. I saw many elderly gentlemen eating there. The portions are generous, and the prices are very affordable. This morning, two of us ate 4 dishes for only 68 RMB."

"Being the only hostel in Macau, this place, albeit a bit on the dirty side on the entrance staircase, has strong aircon inside and is surprisingly alright in terms of hygiene. They do change bedsheets! Prices are reasonable (similar to expensive european countries), and the location is the best thing as you are 5 mins from the bus stop that gets you anywhere in Macau. Recommend for budget travellers!"
