2-Star Hotels in Jilin, China

I'm a british traveller with a Chinese wife. I'm mostly located in China and I speak the language. Hunchun is near to Russia and most of the guests were Russian. Some of the staff can speak a few words of Russian but not much. And no English! The Hotel itself is modern, clean and very technically equipped. The toilet seat is heated, and it flushes itself. The shower took a bit of working out, but once I had mastered it, it was possibly the best shower I'd had in years. The shower is partitioned from the rest of the toilet, which isn't always the case in China. There's an AI person who greets you in Chinese when you enter, but we couldn't work out what the purpose of this was. It didn't understand English and my wife couldn't get a lot of sense out of it in Chinese. But everything else worked, including the curtains which opened and closed remotely. The TV was large and of an excellent quality. The bed was firm, but not hard like some Chinese beds can be, and we slept very comfortably. The breakfast was OK, but nothing special. My wife and I are diabetic, so we avoid sweet things. Although there was plenty of meat, vegetables and eggs to keep us going for the day, there was only sweetened coffee, sweetened milk tea and I think sweetened soy milk, in the drinks machine. We managed to get plain hot water out of the machine, but there was only paper cups provided, which was a disappointment considering the price we'd paid and the excellent standard of everything else. I would suggest a coffee machine and milk available at breakfast, and maybe a hot water urn and some tea bags. And some proper cups! I think a place of such good quality deserves a bit more of a variety of food. It was OK, but not great. Disappointing. For people on a low budget (like we were) one should bear in mind that the location isn't very central and it's a bus ride and a 25 minute walk, from the high speed rail station. Taxis are not very expensive but we don't have much money so we got local buses which are not very frequent. So I consider the location to be the most disappointing aspect of this hotel. Everything else was either fine, or excellent. We would definitely consider going there again in the future. It was also the only hotel that has allowed us the late checkout which I've been promised by Trip.com. Thank you!

The room was clean and hygienic, very close to all the surrounding commercial areas, and there were many great food options nearby. On the first floor, there's free coffee and a Korean ethnic clothing experience. For extended stays, they offer room cleaning, which was a nice touch. Overall, my experience was excellent! 👍🏻

I feel that this is the best Hanting Hotel in Changchun that I have stayed in. The room is large, the facilities are complete, the sanitation is very clean, and the location is very convenient. I am very satisfied.

Like this hotel, I will write a good review for free. It is really cost-effective. This time I went to Yanji for a business trip. His facilities are very complete. The rooms are also beautifully decorated. The facilities are very good. The bathroom is dry and wet. Separate, projection, and the price is also favorable. Everyone must live here when you come to Yanji. The main parking is free and the parking space is convenient. Not far from the net red wall Yanda. If you see this comment when you pick a cost-effective hotel, you don’t have to pick it directly. It’s not good to follow up with me below.

This B&B is just a few minutes' drive from the North Slope visitor center. It's quiet, elegant, clean, and hygienic. The owner's detailed pick-up instructions were a lifesaver for someone like me who's terrible with directions. The owner is warm and thoughtful, with both the meticulousness and cleanliness you'd expect from Korean style, and the straightforward, hearty nature of a Northeastern guy. Friends, if you're coming to Changbai Mountain, choose this B&B! It's like a cup of coffee after a long day, warming your hands, refreshing your spirit, and softening time itself.

I had a great time in Yánjí since I planned a lot of border excursions. I can speak both Korean and Chinese comfortably to navigate this region, which is also known as the Third Korea. The location of this place was great since it was in the city center across from Yanji University. (I was assigned room 1206.) I'm not sure which photos they're using for advertising, but my room looked far more beat up and outdated. I also killed a lot of small cockroaches that were roaming around the kitchenette area. Again, this was not a big deal for me since they weren't ginormous, but one huge cockroach did appear one day near the bathroom. It's one thing for the room to look somewhat different from the advertised photos, but please at least keep the space much cleaner. (The laundry machine was bonus, but I had to buy laundry soap next door at the convenience store. This should have been provided considering there was an empty soap box on the floor next to the machine.) The reason why I booked this place was to do frequent laundry rather than stay at a hotel... I traveled from NYC, so it wasn't like I was an average Chinese tourist from a domestic region. This was my first visit to China since 1996.05 and I used my 10-year China visa for the first time since I applied back in 2017.08. Note: I checked out the other rooms on the floor and they were much nicer than what I booked. I'm guessing those were listed on WeChat and the less attractive rooms are listed on here, etc. After I checked out by 12:00 noon, I stored my luggage next door at the convenience store for a few hours. They charged CN¥5/per hour… I paid CN¥15 since I knew 3 hours was all I needed before my flight.

2D2N in this hotel in the off-season. I booked it based on the good reviews! BUT there were some unexpected things nobody talks about! Let’s go for a quick review👇🏻 What was good: • Super clean • A good firm mattress and two pillows to choose from: one soft and one firm ✨ • The bidet 🥰 • The price • Good Korean-style breakfast, but the same every day • Showroom full of Korean costumes • Sweet girl at reception, although she was a bit shy with foreigners 🤪 • Quiet outside, warm inside, and the air is fresher than in the city What was disappointing: • The TV turns on every time we come back — it’s kinda annoying • Since neither of us knows Chinese, we couldn’t use the voice assistant. We could've used it in English, but nobody helped us set it up (but it’s okay, because we visited just for the weekend) • Disposable towels 😅 (I prefer the soft cuddle of a real towel/bathrobe after a shower) • There were no dental supplies. It was disappointing and unexpected (but maybe it’s okay for a hotel at this price, who knows?) General conclusion: It’s the best option for a Korean-style photoshoot for a few days. Good for sleeping after walking around all day. But if you’re visiting just for the weekend and you don’t need photos, it’s better to stay somewhere near the city centre. As for me, I like fresh air, and in this hotel I could have it. In the city centre it’s only air-conditioned, so this is kinda the better choice for me… What about you? Who knows! The room was very clean, the bedding was new and comfortable, and the daily service was excellent. Everything a senior citizen might need was provided, including water, cups, towels, tissues, toothbrushes, and more. The underfloor heating was very comfortable. The two large drawers beside the bed were also very convenient for storage. There's a restaurant downstairs with a wide selection of breakfast and lunch options. I especially liked their rice porridge, beef bibimbap, and seaweed rice rolls. It's also very convenient to get to the ski resort. It's a 7-8 minute walk to the ski equipment hall, and a 10-minute walk back up a short hill. Alternatively, you can take the shuttle bus (3 RMB per person) or a taxi (starting fare). Ski tickets can be booked directly with the host, which is very convenient. I would definitely book here again next time.

Erdaobaihe is a really sweet, cozy little town. Although it’s not located in the main town area, it is just opposite the beautiful pine forest, which makes the surroundings very peaceful. There are free buses available to travel within the town, which is very convenient. However, as we can’t read Chinese, we mostly relied on Didi instead. Getting a Didi can be a bit challenging due to the limited number of drivers, but as long as you’re willing to wait 5–15 minutes, you should be able to get one. The people in the town are very warm and welcoming. We visited Enduli, and it was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable. The morning view from our room was magical. The room itself was spacious, and the bathroom was equipped with a smart toilet with a heated seat, which was a nice touch. There was a small issue where we found a strand of hair on the bed when we opened the bedsheet. We didn’t make a fuss as I had my own disposable bedsheet prepared. Despite this minor incident, the overall stay was wonderful. What really made this place special was Aunty Wu. She was always there for us and even woke up at 6am just to bid us goodbye. When we were looking for laundry services, she kindly offered to wash our clothes in-house. With my OCD, I was especially touched that she even warmed my laundry bag for me - such a thoughtful gesture. Will definitely be back

I chose this hostel for my solo trip, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The 8-person male dorm was very clean, the beds were tidy, and the common areas were well-maintained with no unpleasant smells. All the facilities were new, and the rooftop terrace was a major highlight—a great place to enjoy the breeze and atmosphere. The owner was very friendly and responsive to any issues. The location was convenient, and the value for money was excellent. It's perfect for solo travelers, and I felt very comfortable and confident staying there. I would definitely consider staying here again next time.
