We had a wonderful stay. The location is simply perfect, in the middle of the mountains, allowing you to enjoy the most beautiful landscapes of the area without having to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle. For this reason, it is the perfect place to discover the karst landscape of the area and to relax to the maximum during a perfect holiday in nature. Actually having walked all over the area, I can say that, in my opinion, the most beautiful karstic landscapes are close to the hotel and not on the river. At the same time, it is separated from the Li River sites by a pleasant walk. I recommend walking down to the river on foot, because the views are unique. The room is very comfortable and clean and the view from the terrace is breathtaking, impossible to describe in words. It is a unique place for hiking, as it is very close to 大面山, a mountain with stunning views and with few people. The owner of the hotel recommended several activities and helped us to do them by giving us directions and booking us transport. Moreover, the place is very suitable for birdwatchers, with at least 40 species relatively easy to spot. But the highlight, for me, is the food. The 啤酒鱼 (beer fish) is the best dish I have tasted throughout this trip in China. In fact, one of the days of our stay we changed our plans just so we could be at the hotel for lunch! The same goes for breakfast - don't miss it if you stay here! I have been visiting China for 10 years and this accommodation has been, without a doubt, the best one I have stayed in and the one I have treasured the most unforgettable memories in. We don't know what itinerary we will do next year on our China trip, but we are 100% sure that next year we will come back to stay more days. We have just left and can't wait to go back!

Relatively cheap accommodation with window/balcony facing karst mountain, and just 100m from the Li River. Some nice Thai themed embellishments decorate the rooms. Bed is only a small 'double' and has one useable powerpoint near bed right side + light controls. Aircon works well (only small room so to be expected). Overall, OK for 100 RMB per night, but does have a few issues. Booked the 'special promotion' room. Trip.com indicates a room size of 12m square metres, which is incorrect. I measured it at 9.5 square, including the bathroom. If including the small balcony (2.5 sq m), the total room area is 12m best case. Only large enough for single occupancy, with small amount of luggage. Two people would need to climb over eachother to move around. No where near enough space for two - luggage would need to be kept outside on the balcony! Hot water works but is not properly calibrated. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. Extremely difficult to find the right temperature to shower with any comfort. I put full hot, and waited. Water got super hot after 40 seconds. Adjusted to reduce by setting at middle between hot/cold, but water temperature remained super hot. Then pushed to full cold. Water temperature transitioned to cold 29 seconds later. Then put back to middle position but water remained dead cold. Tested this both ways for at least 4 minutes each and remained either scolding hot or freezing cold!! Hotel provides signs to indicate desire to 'please clean room' and I hang this on outer door handle for two days, but to no avail So can only assume the owners don't provide this service. This establishment is only rated as a 2 star hotel, and given the low price point, you really can't complain - on the condition that the tariff is low. Acceptable for 100 -120 RMB per night. Unacceptable for much more than this though.

I had a great time at this hostel. The people were so friendly and they were always available on WeChat to help me out (thank you for helping me buy the bus tickets at such a late notice 🤭). Nearby were also many great restaurants（I recommend the nearby 阿秀米粉店 😋). I also greatly appreciated the curtains attached to the beds for some privacy. It's conveniently located next to the train station, but you will need to take a bus or a train to see some beautiful nature, as it is located in the middle of the city of Guilin.

Steps away from a lively pedestrian only food street, plus walkable to many other city highlights. It was easy to take the bus from the northern train station to the city center, and then walk to the building. The apartment is spacious and nicely decorated. You access the apartment with a key code. It would help if the owner/manager provided photos of the building so it's easier to find. For foreigners, keep in mind the bathroom is a squat toilet but everything else is superb. One of my photos shows the white building which is where the apartment is located on the 2nd/3rd floor depending on your booking.

This place has hands down been the most memorable stay we have ever had! As a couple traveling for the first time in China, Yukong, his family, and friends gave us a feeling of home and took care of us in a way we never experienced from a homestay. The house itself is build by Yukong's grandparents 70 years ago, and is placed in the middle of a Kiwi farm on the mountains outside Leye city. We shared great meals together every night in front of the fireplace with the boiling soup bowl at the center. Friends and family of the house even cared for bringing all sorts of classical Chinese instruments to the house to play traditional folk music for us - something we will never forget! Together we sang karaoke, drank rice wine, laughed and had great talks, despite of the language barrier. One could tell that our well being mattered to all of them, and that they wanted us to experience and understand their culture. Yukong and his brother even joined us for a hike in the nearby geopark and helped us with litterarly everything regarding planning and activities (which was so helpful, as none of us speaks Chinese). They took so much time off their hands to help us getting around and showed us the most wonderful local tourist attractions and great places to eat. The area has a lot to offer, and we were amazed that we seemed to have it all to ourselves. If you are in Guangxi, or anywhere else in China, for that matter, do yourself a favor and book a stay here. It is something you will remember for a long time. The nature, the culture, and especially the family you are gonna stay with, are wonderful.

Oh my goodness! Where do I begin? Yangshuo itself is so beautiful and amazing, we absolutely loved our three days there and would go back in a heartbeat. Our room was fantastic for the price, I would give it seven stars if I could. We had the Deluxe Family Suite with River (and mountain) Views and Balcony on the top floor, incredible location right at the bottom (river) end of West Street. Despite the vibrant activity on the street, our room was perfectly peaceful and quiet. The beds were hard by western standard but very comfortable. The staff could not have been more kind and helpful, going out of their way to walk with us to show us various places, giving us restaurant recommendations (Wang Jiang Lou) and booking tickets for the Impressions show and a day trip to Ruyi Feng Scenic Cableway - both of these events absolutely blew our tiny little New Zealand minds! The staff were also a great help when one of us lost our cellphone (thankfully recovered - Chinese people are so honest, friendly, helpful and kind). One thing for travellers to note, there is no elevator and so we only give 4/5 for facilities. We also give 4/5 for cleanliness only because it was a bit dusty behind some of the furniture, otherwise everything was perfectly clean. It's a great place to stay as every morning will be like god's descended down to earth and blessed the lands surrounding you. Waking up every morning, accending up the roof to take in this prestine beauty and be surrounded these beautiful mountain pillars is a blessing. This you can do every single morning at this hostel and much more. Also the staff are friendly and so very much helpful, they make the community so accessible to us forgeiners. They help you with all of the information you might need, such as food, bikes, drinks. You'll definitely know how to get around at the end of your stay. The lobby is like a living room where you meet other like minded people and where you can feel like you have a big extended family, that don't speak the same language, but share the same passions for traveling. There is also a extensive amount of books you can use that is about a whole range of topics. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The size for the price was the first thing that suprised me. That alone would make it worth it, but also the bed is large, the bathrooms are also sizable, WiFi is fast and easy to access, the TV screen is enormous. All in all I would highly recommend this place for people who would like to be surrounded by prestine nature, have easy access to city center, easy access to great food. This place is great for people who love connecting to a community but also good for people who just want enjoy their own company.

During this trip, the hotel gave me a great surprise! 📍The location is excellent, with convenient transportation around and close to popular attractions. It is within walking distance of the food street and is very convenient for eating, drinking and having fun. 🏨The rooms are warmly and elegantly decorated, with complete facilities and high quality. The bedding is soft and comfortable, so you can sleep naturally and wake up naturally. The bathroom is clean and smell-free, and the toiletries are also good. 💁♂️The staff are warm and friendly and the service is meticulous. When checking in, he patiently answered questions and provided thoughtful travel suggestions. He responded to every request and made people feel at home. The hotel is very cost-effective and the overall experience is great. I will come again next time! Beautiful scenery ”Guilin's landscape is the best in the world, and Yangshuo is the best in Guilin.” Only when you step into the land of Yangshuo in person can you truly understand the exquisiteness of this poem. The mountains here seem to be jade carefully carved by nature, rising from the ground in different shapes. The photo shoot is very impressive, so beautiful
