"The best aspect of this stay was by far the owner. He was incredibly, incredibly helpful and friendly — from the moment I walked in the door he offered me a cup of tea, then provided tea and bread the next morning for breakfast, offered advice on what to see in the area, arranged a car to take me to Dalzong Lake, and finally even found me a spot on a local minibus going to my next destination. I couldn’t have done half the things I did during my stay in Xiahe without his advice and efforts on my behalf, so that alone made staying here fully worthwhile! It’s worth mentioning that the guesthouse’s architecture is also absolutely beautiful, and everything looks quite new. It’s located down a quiet side alley off of one of the main commercial streets in town, which seems like the ideal placement. On the accommodations: I stayed in one of the two tents erected on the second floor of the guesthouse. This was largely quite a good experience! The bed was very comfortable (with a heated pad), water and towels provided, etc. The tents are not in a closed-off area, but rather on the second floor/balcony area that also is used for sitting, serving tea, etc., so privacy is somewhat limited, but the whole guesthouse is relatively quiet anyway so it doesn’t feel like a public space. My only suggestions for improvement would be related to the bathroom: during my stay, the shared bathroom for the tents was a sort of temporary-style booth installed in the corner of the room with a toilet, sink, and showerhead. The bathroom was very clean and everything inside worked well, but its sliding door separated from the wall enough that there was always a substantial enough space on one side or the other that could be seen through (the door also didn’t lock and slid back and forth easily). The booth was also small enough that, realistically, I think it would be a bit of a challenge to actually use it to shower. If possible it might be worth looking into some simple fixes to improve these situations, but otherwise I have no complaints!"

"Had a fantastic time staying overnight in the desert! The disco party at night was a blast. The tent was quite spacious, beautifully decorated, and very cozy. Everything was super clean and all the facilities were top-notch! We had a really comfortable stay, very satisfied!"

"The hostel is good cared and clean. I think I saw a housekeeper every time when I went out from my room and she was always cleaning smth. That attitude already says a lot about the place. There is a nice not big common area with TV and we even watched a bit of Titanic, water dispenser with available cold and hot water. The staff is speaking English and they organise different tours around the area. It’s very handy. We took 2 tours with them and enjoyed a lot. One to PingShanHu canyon and another to Colourful Danxia. We also met many good-hearted foreign and local travellers there and made friends with some. Speaking about the room the condition was good enough. We shared one room with my friend. It’s a great value for money. Thank you for the incredible stay!"

"Great location, close to the subway station and bus stop. Convenient for getting around. Being near a Muslim community allowed me to learn about their culture and try halal food. In summary 😁😊 Convenient and Comfortable. The room was clean and I slept well."

"The environment is very new! I'm quite particular about bathroom cleanliness, and this place really delivered. The cleaning staff were very diligent, keeping the toilet and shower sparkling clean and well-maintained overall. There's a public microwave, water dispenser, and refrigerator, which is convenient for buying drinks. They also have an automatic washing machine that you can use with coins, and you can exchange coins at the front desk. The guests generally seem to be well-behaved; everyone in the lobby was quiet and didn't play loud music. Access to the guest room area requires a key card, and guests in the rooms were also considerate, which I appreciate. The bedding was already made up, so I didn't have to do it myself, and it was quite comfortable to sleep in. Overall, I had a great impression; the staff were patient. It's a clean and comfortable option that I'd recommend to everyone."

"We were still traveling a few days ago, so I didn't have time to write a review. Now that I'm home, I want to give a proper review of this ******* guesthouse. Out of all the places we stayed during our Gannan road trip, this was by far the most satisfying. The entire guesthouse has a rich ******* ambiance, and the room's hygiene and facilities were impeccable. What's even more noteworthy is the ******* clothing experience – it was truly fantastic! All 8 of us took photos and group pictures in the garden, and the owner even took them for us. The accommodation is also very close to Labrang Monastery, which we walked to. I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"This stay was fantastic! Upon entering the hotel, the lobby was bright and spacious, and the staff were warm, polite, and quick to check in. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and all the amenities were provided, including thoughtful touches like makeup remover wipes. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, with both Chinese and Western dishes; the freshly cooked noodles and fried eggs were especially delicious. The location was also very convenient, surrounded by shopping malls and restaurants, making it easy to get around. Both the service and facilities were impeccable, offering excellent value for money. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time and highly recommend it!"

"This camp specially selected for the desert sunset and starry sky is a worthwhile trip. It is the most healing experience of Dunhuang travel! The camp site is excellent, the view is super wide, there is no building block, it is a great place to watch the desert scenery. The sunset in the evening is really amazing. Watching the sunset sink a little into the dunes, the whole yellow sand is plated with warm orange halo, the light and shadow layer upon layer, the atmosphere is directly full, and the shot is a large texture. Wait until night falls, the advantage of being away from the city light pollution is completely highlighted, the night sky is clean and transparent, the sky is full of stars, the Milky Way is clearly visible, lying on the bed can immersive look up at the Galaxy, romantic to the extreme. The tent is very clean, the dust-proof effect is very good, there is no sand in the house, the bedding is comfortable, and the supporting facilities are complete. The staff is attentive and thoughtful, and the whole experience is smooth and comfortable. Friends who want to experience the desert sunset and starry sky must choose this one!"

"Everything was perfect, there were good food places just a few steps away. A bus stop is very close, directly connecting to the main attractions and the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Only disadvantage was that I wasn’t able to open the water bottles they provided. In the end, I hurt my hand while trying to open. I never had this issue before. That being said, they also have a water dispenser downstairs so there are other options to get drinking water."

"Great location, just a 5-minute drive from West Station, and they offer a shuttle service to and from the station. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the shower in the bathroom had excellent water pressure. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, even assisting with luggage. The pork noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious! It's also close to city attractions. Highly recommend! ^"
