2 Stars Hotels in Chongqing, China

This was literally my first ever hotel stay in China. I managed to find their WeChat, which made communication very easy, otherwise, trip.com has made it very easy, with accommodation addresses in both English and local language (Chinese in this case). The building this hotel is in is interesting. It’s made up of commercial shops including many hotels. For example, the reception of this hotel actually serves two different hotels. There are many other hotels within the building too. The hotel is located right smack in the middle of Jiefang bei, which is the touristic center of Chongqing. There is no better location in my opinion. There is a metro station is right smack in front of the building, 10m away. The location literally cannot be beat. Check-in was seamless, and you can add the reception on WeChat — they are very responsive and even proactive. This is a new thing that I have never seen before, but it seems like each hotel room in China have their own wifi modem, so each room has a different password. The reception sent it to me without even me prompting (or realizing). For some reason, Chongqing was hot as balls when I visited, so every evening a good long soak at the bathtub was a godsend. The room itself was not huge, but spacious enough whereby it felt as though there was more space than there really was. Bed was also super duper comfy, where I slept extremely well on. For this location at this price, honestly, this place cannot be beat.

Very convenient location with the ”touristy” places being within walking distance. It's located at the 9th floor of the 'New Chongqing Apartment (新重庆公寓)' next to the ICBC bank. If you're a foreign tourist, it's easier to find it through its Chinese/Pin Yin name using GPS (Chi Shan / 吃山). Was also very close to Hong Ya Dong, Liberation Monuments, etc. The only scary thing would be the ground floor of the building because the lobby is kind of worn out but once you reach the 9th floor where Yummyhill/Chishan is located, it's alright. There were 4 really cute and affectionate cats which we loved a lot (especially the white one!! but the tabby one was also really cute). The staff were all friendly and courteous which we really appreciated. On the 9th floor, there is also a rooftop garden that was nice to explore. Room was decently clean and all the necessary amenities provided were sufficient. There is also a common area where you can eat & meet other people! The only downside was that the dryer didn't really work effectively because our clothes were still kind of moist after drying it at top heat for 40 minutes. However this is not too big of an issue & we'd love to come back and stay here again when we come back to Chongqing some day. Thank you!

My first encounter of multiple hotel within the same building hence look out for the address at the building else you might not find it like most of the people including me. Location was awesome but the wait for the lift is horrible and you must squeeze yourself in, going out and coming back to the room is a problem. Cleanliness is average and I booked a really tiny room hahaha didn't expect that lucky am alone. No view of city, very near the lift lobby can hear people walking around and the smell of the bins. You can walk to the tourist attractions from here and plenty of restaurants, malls and even museum. I even found their local market, great area to stay. Staffs were friendly and helpful for any of your questions. Local transport was just right downstairs very convenient to travel around, no hotel lobby for rides pick up you need to walk to the roadside. Found a Thai restaurant within the building during my last day hahaha didn't get to try but place was crowded.

We booked this budget accommodation in Chongqing. At the beginning is was quite unclear where we had to be. The office is located in a huge apartment complex, and the guy behind the desk didn’t speak English. When we found the office the staff where very friendly in showing us to our room. We had to move to another building, and the room was fine and exactly like the picture. Staff didn’t speak English but we were able to communicate with them through WeChat! Please check the pictures clearly, since we missed that there was no western toilet… location was good and views were great!

I went to the concert and ate here because of fans' recommendation. It was very good and beyond my imagination. It was very friendly for a person who came out alone. The ladies in the store were very considerate and there were many cute cats. The room was clean, the mattress was comfortable, and it was super quiet! It was quieter than my university dormitory. 🤫 Many young people who stayed here were very well-mannered. The food was also delicious. It turned out to be a great chef.

The location is very good. It takes five minutes to walk from Jiefangbei Square to the downstairs every day. It is closer to the subway station. There are Yonghui Supermarket and Lawson downstairs. The elevator is very fast. The elevator is mainly for owners and there is no congestion. The weather was over 40 degrees at the end of August. The boss also sent iced mineral water considerately. If it is not enough, you can go downstairs to get it at any time. The service is very considerate. The environment is very clean, the hot and cold water in the shower are clear, and a pack of hot pot base was given when I left. I am so satisfied👍

Location is good and neat to all attractions places. Metro station is just 100 meters away. The couple host are very friendly and helpful. View from the room is marvellous,make sure stay in 30 floor for better privacy.Would definitely like to stay again if I visit Chongqing again.

Location is 3min walk to crt exit. Very convenient. Also quite easy to walk to various sights in chongqing. Arrived late ard 9pm. Tried to msg hotel abt late arrival via trip app but no response. Was a little worried but when reached, room card was placed on counter to provide access. Location is block B times square apartments at 27th floor. Only 2 lifts rch here. The third lift goes up to only 21st floors. Sometimes experience crowd when taking lifts and have to wait quite a while. Room is a little smaller than expected but still adequate. There is a self service washer available but no dryer. Cleaning was not thorough though still adequate. Smart room with 小爱同学 available 😄 room faces jie fang bei. Good view. Wifi stable.

It was my first time to come to Chongqing, and I traveled with my girlfriend during off-peak hours. Chongqing's B&Bs vary in quality. I originally booked this one with the wrong idea, but the actual experience was unexpectedly good. Facilities and hygiene: The entire facility is quite new, the tables, chairs and beds are quite clean, and the mattresses are moderately soft and comfortable. Disposable supplies are fully stocked, including towels, bath towels, toilet mats, and bath bags. Surrounding environment: The location is very convenient. It is just downstairs from Exit 1 of Linjiangmen of Metro Line 2. It rained when we were leaving and I really realized how convenient the transportation is. The location is at Jiefangbei, and it only takes less than 20 minutes to walk to Hongyadong, Bayi Square, or Shibati. The view is also pretty good, our room can directly see the Chopsticks Tower Hotel service: The customer service at the front desk is very considerate. It was 1 o'clock in the evening on the day of arrival and we were informed that we would check in first and then register the next day. Even if I send a WeChat message in the middle of the night, I’ll get a reply almost immediately. The only negative thing is that the elevator on the building where the hotel is located is not very easy to wait in. There is nothing we can do about this and it is not the hotel's final say. The 4-day trip to Chongqing gave a good experience at least starting from the hotel.

It was cleaned and convenient if you have an early train in the morning.The North railway station is located nearby the hotel.It was located below the public bus station. Many restaurants around the train station and hotel. They provide you one time face disposable wiper and they borrowed me charger for handphone.
