I chose the 0517 hotel after reading great reviews, and they were not wrong! Starting with the simple things, the location is so convenient being in the part of town nearest the park’s south entrance. You can walk there in ~15 minutes, passing several options for a street food breakfast along the way. There is also a good selection of restaurants for dinner, and a very nice bakery to pick up snacks for the day. The long distance buses arrive at a bus station a few km away, but the hotel will arrange the pickup for you, free of charge. The hotel’s design in the rooms and shared spaces is very modern & clean, in a style appreciated by westerners. The rooms are on the small side, but have everything you need. Leaving the best point until last – the highlight here is the customer service provided by the owner Timo and his staff. 11/10! Nothing is too much trouble, they will help you with everything from trip planning, to organizing local shared taxi to surrounding areas, to storing luggage, or whatever. On both the nights there, I had a long, friendly chat with him and a couple of others over a drink in the evening. Felt more like being his personal guest than being in a hotel. HIGHLY recommended!

A Pleasant Stay with Excellent Service I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and was overall quite impressed with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the reception staff were welcoming and incredibly efficient, making the check-in process both speedy and effortless. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable stay. The housekeeping team obviously takes great care in ensuring that every detail is attended to, from the fresh linens to the spotless bathroom. The hotel's location is another great advantage. Being near the subway made it incredibly convenient to get around and explore the city with ease. Despite its prime location, the price was very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. Breakfast was a highlight of the morning, with a delicious variety that really set me up for the day. The quality and selection of food were outstanding, and it was a treat to start each day with such a satisfying meal. One area for improvement would be the noise cancellation in the rooms. Being close to the subway, I did notice some ambient noise that occasionally disturbed my sleep. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay. In summary, this hotel excels in many areas: exceptional reception, efficient check-in, clean rooms, convenient location, reasonable pricing, and delicious breakfast. With a bit of improvement in noise cancellation, it would be truly perfect. When I arrived at the station at 9pm, I had to ask the boss to pick me up. After calling the boss, the communication was very smooth. They discussed the next day's trip along the way, which was very atmospheric. The boss's assistant contacted Carpool and took charge of driving us into the mountains early in the morning. Fortunately, they had experience, otherwise it would have been troublesome for a bunch of people behind us. The food is very simple and firm, and they take care of the taste. It's delicious!

The rooms are really clean and nice, location is near the waterfall, from which you can hike up to the mountain if you’re a serious hiker. It’s family owned hotel so everything is very authentic. The hosts are very kind and welcoming, helped us a lot with planning and organising the route for our hikes and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

The quilt is a little small for two people to sleep in. The faucet in the toilet is fixed and installed too high, which is not friendly to girls. The most important thing is that they do not provide drinking water. You have to buy it from the convenience store downstairs and bring it up every day. The landlord's service attitude was very good and enthusiastic. He picked us up at the door and took us to the parking lot (because the parking lot was like a maze)

My stay in Tingquan Xiaoyuan has been absolutely delightful. I booked a long stay here as a retreat and break from the work and it is exactly everything I need to unwind and recharge. The guesthouse ran by a husband and wife team are so hospitable and go the extra mile to make sure my stay here is relaxing and I have everything I need to work and go about my day. The room i am staying in is very brightly lighted with a desk for me to work. I have to say the bed is also very comfortable and I have been sleeping well every night. The surrounding is so peaceful and tranquil, with gardens and flowers and mountain peaks in the distance. I am rather glad I am staying here in the valley instead of near the centre. In terms of service, the boss is very helpful and responsive to my messages when we need to ask any question or require a pick up after the hikes. The lady boss is similarly extremely friendly, warm and kind and ensure my needs and well being is looked after every day. She cared for me like her own family. I really appreciate them going the extra mile to help a foreigner like me who struggle with the language. I would strongly recommend this lovely and cosy guesthouse to any local and foreigner who is looking for an amazing visit to Huangshan for a few days or up to a month. They will ensure you are well taken care of and your stay is absolutely delightful.

It's safer to take the taxi outside the station to go to the hostel if you don't want to be scammed. The taxi drive was around 30 yuan. To not waste time and because it was alright late at night I took a taxi and not a bus. The hostel is well located to take the bus to Huangshang mountain. I was traveling in low season so only met local travelers, most then don't speak English but it's nice mingle with them even if we need to use translation apps haha I had a tight schedule, but I would have liked to connect more with the people in the host. Thanks!

First of all, I would like to say that I am very grateful to the grandfather who explained the guide to me during the Huangshan trip. He is very experienced and has great time control. Downstairs of the hotel is Huiweilou. I ordered a plate of fried rice by myself and it was delicious. Breakfast costs RMB 15 per person and can be taken away to eat on the road, limited quantity. However, the room was very average. The most important thing was that there was no hot water for taking a shower the next morning (＞﹏＜). It was too late to change rooms. Huangshan was a bit hot, so I just had to take a cold shower.
