"If you have been to St. Petersburg, Russia, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands, you will definitely feel that these two cities look too similar. As a crazy admirer of Western European civilization, Peter the Great brought back the charming architecture and unique urban layout from the Netherlands, and "replicated" another Amsterdam city on the banks of the Neva River. However, he brought back much more than that. An accidental attempt at a banquet made him inadvertently know the existence of potatoes. He thought that this plant native to America tasted good, so he "conveniently" brought them back. But no one would have thought that Peter the Great's inadvertent move would greatly enrich the citizens' dining tables. In Russia, there are more than 500 ways to cook potatoes alone."

"St. Petersburg in Russia is a very beautiful city. The Neva River here runs through the entire street, and the exterior walls of the square buildings are symbols of various colors."

"As its name suggests, it is a two-story promenade shopping mall. It has a lot of history. There should be life and tourism goods. The exit of Metro Line 3 Circle Building Station is here, and you can also transfer to Line 2 Neva Street Station."

"The Library Building is the largest bookstore in St. Petersburg. It is very large. For someone like me who doesn't know Russian and has limited knowledge of English, I just had a quick look. If you are interested, you can take a look."

"The bookstore was in a quaint building on Nevsky Avenue. They were doing auctions when we went. We crowded in to see, what souvenirs to buy? Inside, some more distinctive Russian St. Petersburg chocolates, Putin chocolates, etc. Books and some pictures are in Russian. We don't understand, so we don't buy them."

"PASSAGE is a large shopping mall in St. Petersburg that sells souvenirs to foreign tourists. The general tour guide will bring the team here, so he will go in with a wary heart. Although there are many things, the variety is relatively complete, but it feels mixed. The price is also high, it is recommended to give up shopping here decisively, unless there is no other choice and the time is particularly tight, then consider spending here."

"Before leaving, I took advantage of the last minute to go shopping. I met a beautiful salesperson with excellent Chinese and stunning appearance. I bought the Hermès perfume that is hard to come by ~ I must give DLT department store eight⭐️ praises. In short, St. Petersburg is indeed more worth visiting than Moscow✌"

"20240825 AM: 1. Winter Palace Square is located outside the Winter Palace. The Winter Palace is a Baroque-style ancient building in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. It is one of the four largest museums in the world. It was built in 1754 and is located on the banks of the Neva River. It was designed by architect Rastrelli and rebuilt in 1838 after a fire. It was originally the bedroom of many tsars and later became the private museum of Russian Empress Catherine II. It covers an area of 90,000 square meters, with a total of 1,057 rooms and more than 2,000 doors. It is magnificent and elegant. It was nationalized after the October Revolution in 1917 and became part of the National Hermitage Museum in 1922. The museum is large in scale and has many exhibits. It currently has more than 3 million cultural relics and is a good place for humanities learning and viewing photography. The Winter Palace is known as the world's four largest museums along with the British Museum in London, the Louvre in Paris, France, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, USA. ①Address: Neva River, St. Petersburg, Russia ②Transportation: Direct bus, difficult to park by car ③Peak season: None ④Duration: 1 day ⑤Ticket price: 47 yuan, closed on Mondays. Square free 2. Winter Palace Square is located on the south side of the museum, also known as Palace Square, covering an area of 50,000 square meters. This area has: ①Statue of Alexander: It was built in 1830 and completed in 1839 to commemorate the defeat of Napoleon I in the Russian-French War of 1812. It is 47.5 meters high, 4 meters in diameter, and weighs 600 tons. It is made of a whole piece of granite. It stands on the foundation stone without any support and only relies on its own gravity. On its top is an angel holding a cross and stepping on a snake. The angel steps on a snake with both feet. In 1812, Napoleon I, the Emperor of the First French Empire, used the excuse that Alexander I, the Tsar of the Russian Empire, had violated the Treaty of Tilsit to lead an army of 640,000 to attack Russia. The Russian army, which was at a disadvantage, took the initiative to evacuate Moscow and clear the countryside. Napoleon set fire to the deserted city of Moscow and then withdrew his army. On the way back, he was frequently sniped by Russian soldiers and civilians. In addition, due to the cold weather and lack of food and grass, the Russian army took the opportunity to pursue and counterattack, causing Napoleon's army to suffer heavy casualties, losing almost all cavalry and artillery, and only 30,000 people were left when they withdrew from the Russian border. This battle is generally regarded as a victory for Russia. The First French Empire went from prosperity to decline, and the European order that Napoleon had just established soon reversed. He also abdicated for the first time due to defeat and was exiled to the small island of Elba off the coast of Italy. ② General Staff Building: The yellow building on the south side of the square was built in 1829. The Arc de Triomphe on the north side of the building is 36 meters high and was built in 1828 to commemorate the victory of the Russo-French War in 1812. A statue of the goddess of victory driving a chariot stands on the top of the gate. ③ Paid photo: There are people wearing traditional Russian costumes on the square. You need to pay to take a photo with them"

"It is hard to believe that this classical building is an ordinary market, with daily necessities and food, and is of little significance to tourists."

"When you come to Russia, you must not miss their supermarkets. The most popular items there are chocolate and vodka. Chocolate is delicious, inexpensive, and has a rich flavor. Vodka is also very cheap, but there is a weight limit for bringing back to China."
