This large basement restaurant is in the heart of Myeong-dong, just opposite the Cathedral and down a bit. The menu contained a good selection of Chinese favourites including lobster and peking duck, if your budget allows for it. Upon arrival we were shown to a booth and served complimentary tea. It was a Saturday night but not very busy. We ordered beer and a glass of wine (reasonably priced). First we had hot and sour soup, which we really enjoyed. The servings were quite generous actually. Before we'd finished, our other food arrived. We ordered stir-fried beef with pepper sauce, kung po chicken and some fried rice. The servings were quite large again. The meat and vegetables were good and had the nice stir fired flavour, however the kung-po "spicy" chicken lacked any spice (we found 2 small dried chillies in the whole dish, so it was a bit bland), also we could not detect any pepper in the "pepper" beef . The sauce was also too sweet for my liking. The fried rice seemed a bit starchy, probably because they use Korean rice but otherwise tasted fine. Overall the service was certainly swift, the servings are generous, the prices reasonable (W16-19000 for a main course) and the food competent but somewhat bland. It is however, actual chinese food (with more of a Cantonese style) not "korean-chinese". The restaurant is also quiet escape from the intensity of Myeong-dong. A good dining option if in the area.
