Called in for an evening meal without booking (on a Saturday evening when it was busy) but they managed to find us a table. Very welcoming &amp; good choice of menu, we were given complementary glasses of gazpacho which were delicious. My husband &amp; I had the duck &#39;special&#39; -a perfectly cooked (pink) duck breast in a strawberry &amp; elderflower sauce, delicious veg &amp; potatoes. Our friends had the lamb chops &amp; a rib eye steak -again perfectly cooked &amp; very tender.

Patricks decor is old colonial and has a very relaxing and calming ambience. The pre-meal drinks bar is lovely and the service is attentive. The dining room has white table cloths - always a good sign! The food is fresh and beautifully cooked and the menu is imaginative and, although not hugely extensive, is varied and delicious. We had two dinners here and each time the staff were lovely ..... friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

Four of us enjoyed a wonderful evening meal complete with starters and dessert. I enjoyed the duck starter which was the most tender duck breast I have ever had, followed with the special fish for the evening, and then berries with clotted cream. Service is excellent, attentive and not obtrusive. The next evening we spent several hours in the lounge with our Welsh family and again enjoyed excellent service, great wine and the delicious cheese plate.

My second time eating at Patricks in the last six months. The first time warranted a 5* so I was eager to see of the second visit met my high expectations. It did and then some! From the second we walked through the door everything was perfect. I could go into detail but I&#39;d be here all day. Attention to detail was excellent. Staff were superb, very efficient, very polite, and extremely professional. Food was first class once again. (all three courses) Can&#39;t praise the place enough. Keep doing what you&#39;re doing.
