A two-star belcanto without many surprises. I ordered the restaurant's classic menu, which is a bit like the concept of the meal at Elevel Madison Park. Everything is delicious, but the imagination is limited, and it could be more gimmicky and fun. ​

The restaurant is hidden in a small alley next to the São Carlos National Theater, where the poet Pessoa's former residence is also located. The tasting menu mostly uses simple ingredients from traditional Portuguese cuisine, such as suckling pig, roasted potatoes, oranges and salads, but the taste and meaning of the products are carefully rewoven. Each dish that combines modern cooking techniques with traditional cuisine is like a representative of the city of Lisbon. It was late at night when I walked out of Belcanto, and I was so satisfied with it that I was a little excited for no reason. The old cobblestone street was noisy, and the people who seemed drunk had not yet gone home. Occasionally, when it was quiet, I could hear the sound of waves coming from the Tagus River not far away.
