We were a party of seven. The food was absolutely fantastic. Hot and fresh and perfectly cooked to order. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy Saturday evening so perfectly understandable. Would definitely recommend. .

Bistro on the Quay

A good selection on both the a la carte and set dinner menus.  The food was excellent and we didn&#39;t have to wait long between courses.  This was the first time we&#39;d been to the Mariner and decided we wanted to try somewhere different to our usual restaurants.  We will definitely be returning again soon.

Food was very good location is nice and the service friendly

Upon arrival the staff member thought a large dog belonged to us as I was making a fuss of it and the staff member was not very welcoming as he thought we hadn&rsquo;t informed the restaurant which was fair enough. After he realised it wasn&rsquo;t our dog the staff member was welcoming, friendly and attentive and all four members of our party thoroughly enjoyed our food.

I haven&rsquo;t eaten here for a while and had forgotten the humour of the waiter, worth visiting just for him! The food was as good as I remembered and good value in these hard times.
