This restaurant experience was amazing.  We had difficulty finding parking but it was definitely worth the hassle.  Food was excellent, highly recommend the braised avocado with tuna tartar!  Wine recommendation was perfect!  Definitely a great find!

Bongo

Delicious food drawing on traditional Andalus flavours. Each dish was perfectly balanced in flavour and texture. The size of each was suitable for such a large tasting menu - 9 dishes in all, so each flavoursome morsel left you wishing for more but not unsatisfied. The interior space is nicely designed with lighting that allows easy reading of the menus, but is not glaring. The chairs are comfortable and there is a feeling of spaciousness. Great restaurant we were 3 Americans and treated us well. Actually waited for us to eat after it closed. Paco Pepi treated us great. Great food we order a lot of food and it came out great.

Best food we have had so far on our trip! I had the sea bass and my husband had the salmon and both were exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet atmosphere which was welcome. We were able to get a table by booking just 45 minutes in advance.

The staff at Picoteca is awesome. Food always tasty and orignal. One of our favorite spots in the lovely city of Granada.

Great spot for any meal. Excellent food and ambijente and service. The burrata salad was more than fullfilling. And everything else fish and meat was tastefully prepared.

Great place to go to. Warm welcome and great service.  They serve different cocktails here - the Cocolocon cocktail was fab! Best lasagne I have ever had - again, it was different- goats cheese in the bechemal  sauce !

Hemos pedido 3 platos que estaban deliciosos. Hemos empezafo o con una ensalada burrata, continuado con un plato de wok de pato y por último una lasaña diferente a la cotidiana! Todos estaban de sobresaliente. El servicio ha sido atengo y muy eduac@!! Sin duda repetiré y porfavor dar la enhorabuena al cocin@ 😊

We ordered 3 dishes that were delicious. We started with or with a burrata salad, continued with a dishe wok and finally a lasagne different from the daily! All were outstanding. The service has been atento and very educac@!! I will certainly repeat and please congratulate the cook@😊

Visité recientemente el restaurante Bongo, y mi experiencia fue un tanto desigual. Comenzamos con unas croquetas que estaban realmente deliciosas, sin duda el plato estrella de la noche. A continuación, probamos el tartar de chorizo ibérico, que aunque tenía una buena idea de sabor, le faltaba algo para realmente destacar.  El entrecot fue, lamentablemente, el punto más flojo de la cena. La calidad de la carne dejaba mucho que desear, siendo un plato bastante mediocre para lo que uno esperaría. El café solo que pusieron simplemente fue de los peores cafés que me he tomado por toda Europa en los últimos años. Lamentable acabar la cena de esta manera tan penosa. Hasta tuve que pedir que si podían traerme otro.   En cuanto al servicio, la experiencia fue algo irregular. La atención en general fue muy al estilo "granadino", con poco arte en el trato al cliente, lo que no ayudó a mejorar la impresión general. Sin embargo, un camarero catalán hizo lo posible por salvar la situación con una atención más cercana y personal, lo cual se agradece.  En resumen, Bongo no es un lugar que me haya dejado una impresión profunda. Si bien hay algunos aspectos positivos, como las croquetas y la atención de uno de los camareros, en general no es un sitio que recomendaría con entusiasmo.

No es lo esperado

I recently visited the Bongo restaurant and my experience was a little unsustainable. Then we tested the Iberian chorizo tartar, which, although he had a good idea of taste, was something to really highlight. The quality of the meat left much to desire, being a quite medium-sized dish for what one would expect. The only coffee they put was just one of the worst coffees I have taken across Europe in recent years. I was very sorry to finish the dinner in this very tough way. I had to ask if you could bring me another. As regards the service, the experience was something irregular. The general attention was very "granadina" style, with little art in customer treatment, which did not help improve the overall impression. In short, Bongo is not a place that has left me a deep impression. Although there are some positive aspects, such as croquets and the attention of one of the servants, it is generally not a place that I would recommend enthusiasticly.

Not what is expected

The food and staff are really good. I would recommend to dine here if you are in Granada.

We chose the restaurant based on the Fork recommendation and it did not disappoint. Our waiter&rsquo;s English and manner made us feel welcome. We had the shrimp bao, pork checks with blue cheese parmentier and grilled octopus with smoky potatoes (last one not on the menu). But the most entertaining was the desert: inverted chocolate bell. Highly recommended!

The restaurant was a great find. The staff was very welcoming and attentionate, the service was great and the food was amazing, we mentioned it to the Chef and his team. We loved it so much that we went twice during our stay, we loved the service, all of the dishes and their presentation. We totally recommand this restaurant.

Really good evening with fabulous food. Service from Elena and Youssef was second to none. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others. Thank you
