This is a Khmer fusion restaurant that I always come to when I'm in Siem Reap. I love it.
Cambodia's food is not famous among Southeast Asian countries, but I found it has a unique flavor and is more delicious than expected! I can't help but share it❤️ 🥩Food features: 1⃣️Khmer local cuisine: a combination of Thai cuisine and Vietnamese cuisine, using a variety of spices, including lemongrass, pepper, turmeric, curry, cardamom, cloves, etc.; btw Cambodia has a rich variety of peppers, which are the best quality peppers in the world; 2⃣️Lok Lak: a local specialty, a classic dish made with beef, usually served with noodles/rice, with sweet and sour dipping sauces; 3⃣️Num Banh Chok/Spring roll: Vietnamese spring rolls, rice paper rolls; 4⃣️Kuy Teav/soup noodle: Cambodian rice noodles/rice noodles, usually served with chicken or beef. It is strongly recommended to choose beef🐂. Cambodian beef is generally delicious and of high quality; chicken is relatively dry; 5⃣️French food: Cambodia has been colonized by 🇫🇷France for many years, and many people who come to Cambodia are Europeans, so Western and French food are more guaranteed; 6⃣️Che Kho: Mung bean pudding, used by locals to cool off; 7⃣️Num Chak Kachan: Khmer cake/Khmer pudding, generally made from pure plants, with a sweet taste. 8⃣️Fried poisonous spiders🕷️/poisonous scorpions🦂️ (Figure 2): A series of strange insects grilled, fried/cold... 9⃣️Local freshly squeezed juice (Figure 3): The price is mostly around US$1, and the mixed durian is delicious. ❤️The following is a recommendation for dining: 🍽️Restaurants: 1⃣️Malis in Siem Reap (local Khmer cuisine, pictures 4-5) Recommendations: Curry crab, scallops, jasmine ice cream; all seafood in the store comes from Sihanoukville; the only drawback is that the drinks are often mixed with water + too much ice, and they were adjusted after requesting to change~ 💰Per capita: US$35 2⃣️Embassy in Siem Reap (French cuisine by a female chef, pictures 6-8) Fine is a more refined restaurant dining The frozen dried lotus seeds and dumpling soup for appetizers are quite special 💰Per capita: US$70 (including wine) 3⃣️Park Hyatt in Siem Reap (Breakfast is ranked first in Southeast Asia, pictures 9-10) Every meal in this hotel is delicious Highly recommend beef noodle soup and beef fried noodles The taste can be adjusted according to your preference~ The service is very good, and I will share the hotel article separately later~ 📍Recommended regional locations: 1⃣️Phnom Penh: It is recommended to eat and drink near the Grand Palace and the night market, and in the BKK area, where there are many choices; it is not recommended to eat in the Central Market/Russian Market, which is more messy and has a small range of choices; 2⃣️Siem Reap: It is recommended to eat, drink and have fun in the art market area in the old city, and most restaurants are basically within walking distance. #美食旬味会 #地方只有得的美食 #酒店住上瘾 #城市人文手记 #好吃地家老店 Cambodia·Asia
