The Mint

Lovely meal, great service, especislly from Sophie with my mum's gluten intolerance. Starters of pate, crab cake, aoup and mini chorizo sausage bites were all enjoyed. As was pork belly, sea bass, fish and chips and burger. We were worried coming pater in the day there might not be as much choice but all great, well presented, big portions and will definitely return.

Reservation request carried out with just the table we wanted. Staff great helpful and understanding. Food great and good value for money.

Having recently been advised to avoid milk and milk products, I was most impressed by the facility to screen out those menu items containing these items and to present the result to me on a tablet. This made it very easy to select my choice of dishes with confidence that they satisfied my dietary requirements. This is the best system that I have encountered.

I have been a customer at The Mint for over 15 years. Even though it’s part of a chain which can put some people off, The Mint still manages to keep its cosy country pub vibe. The welcome, standard of service, the menu choices and the quality of the delicious food has been consistent almost throughout this time. The roaring log fire and our fantastic waitress yesterday evening completed the delicious “Pie of the day” (she will know who she is now 😊) and mango/white chocolate meringue dessert. I am looking forward to my next visit already.

Very helpful and friendly staff, who were also professional in their approach. For example, they checked for allergies and knew their menu well. The aubergine dish was rich and tasty with a nice fresh salad. My partner had the sea bass which was very good, although a bit small.
