We enjoyed a very pleasant evening here. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Very clean establishment. The food was excellent and portion sizes were good. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

This was our first meal out for a while. We booked online for Sunday lunch and it was excellent. The food selection And presentation were very good, and all the staff were very professional.I would highly recommend The Anchor to others.

Second visit, lovely place in a lovely setting will definitely come again.First visit sat by the fire, second visit outside by the canal. Food and service great.

The restaurant was moderately busy, enough to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The waiting staff were prompt, helpful and friendly throughout the meal. Starters were fine, but my husband’s ribeye steak, though cooked as requested, was more gristly and fatty than expected. In fairness, we received a genuine apology from the restaurant manager and our coffee/brandy order was free of charge. This was much appreciated.
