Staff is friendly and works hard to make everything right while you are there. Meat is sold by the pound and we had the choice of 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 pounds. Served homestyle, which real gets everyone involved in the meal.

Doe's Eat Place

Forget the name but the mushroom burger was great. Tater tots were alright but then again I am not a big tot fans just sounded good with cheese and bacon. The large is a decent size bowl.

The margaritas are strong and tasty. The shrimp are giant size, and the skirt steak is tender and flavorful. Always great.

The pizza is delicious, you can pack it away if you can&#39;t finish it, and the price is very affordable. Some friends advised me to try it here, saying that I was very excited and I was really not disappointed. When we passed here before, it was often empty and sold out, and it can be seen that the business here is very prosperous.

We finally made it to Doe&#39;s last Saturday night and it was everything promised. Since we were with friends, we were able to try several starters including the famous tamales. They were great with the accompanying chili, but we surprised how much we enjoyed the angry shrimp and the fried asparagus. But don&#39;t fill up on these, or the sad little salad, because the steaks are huge. Ordering a steak by the pound is unique. I had the T-bone, my wife the filet, and our friends both had rib eyes which were surprisingly bone in. All were prepared as ordered and delicious. If you are traveling and can&#39;t take home a doggie bag it would be easy to over oder here. The only negative we found was the very limited wine list or this would have been a five star review.

Went to Doe&#39;s for dinner with my business partner because we wanted a good steak. We were not disappointed although you have to order all but the filets in 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2 pound steaks. They are bone-in so not all of that &quot;poundage&quot; is the meat. We had their appetizer specialty Hot Tamales which were great. The steaks were cooked perfectly but the sides were somewhat limited and not up to par with the steaks...that is the only reason I rated them at 4 stars rather than 5. Service and atmosphere were exceptional. Would highly recommend Doe&#39;s.
