Miss it and wait another year! The world's largest sea of rapeseed flowers!
😍 Friends, today I'm sharing a super beautiful travel itinerary with you—a guide to Luoping canola flower fields, Fuxian Lake, and Mile Red Winery. Miss it, and you'll have to wait a whole year!
🌼Luoping canola flower fields: Every year from February to March, millions of acres of canola flowers bloom, creating a spectacular golden vista. It's simply a photographer's paradise.
🎈Jinji Peak is the core viewing area. You can photograph the sunrise and sunset, and there's a small train too.
🎈The terraced fields of Niu Street create a spiral pattern of canola flowers, with beautiful lines and a rich sense of depth.
🎈Jiulong Waterfall Group, one of the top ten waterfalls in China, where the waterfalls complement the sea of flowers.
🚗Travel route: If you have plenty of time, arrange for 2-3 days. On the first day, visit Jinji Peak in the morning and Niu Street in the afternoon. On the second day, visit the Jiulong Waterfall Group, and then freely stroll through the flower fields. If you only have one day, watch the sunrise at Jinji Peak early in the morning, then go to Jiulong Waterfall Group, and visit Niu Street in the afternoon.
🌊Fuxian Lake: The lake water is clear and blue, known as "ten thousand acres of glass," and is the backyard garden of Yunnan people.
🎈Red Sand Beach is free of charge and looks beautiful from aerial photography. Remember to bring a jacket as it can be windy on the shore.
🎈Luchong Scenic Area: Tickets are CNY 15/person. There are photo opportunities along the way, and you can also climb Bijia Mountain for a panoramic view.
🎈Starfish Cave: Tickets are CNY 15/person. You can take a sailboat or kayak, and there's also a cafe with great photo opportunities.
🎈The S-bend in Dawan Village is free of charge and offers stunning sunset views on sunny days.
🚗Travel route: The loop around the lake is about 100 km. If you have enough time, spend two days and one night circling the lake, relaxing on the west bank and watching the sunset on the east bank. If time is limited, choose 2-3 attractions for a day trip, such as Fuhai Bay Wetland Park, Red Sand Beach, Luchong Scenic Area, and the S-bend in Dawan Village.
🍷Mile Red Winery: Full of romantic French style, you can learn about wine culture, taste mellow wines, and enjoy a leisurely time.
🎈Stroll through the vineyards and pick grapes.
🎈Taste fine wines with introductions from professional sommeliers.
🎈Visit the winery's cultural exhibition and experience its rich heritage.
🚗Travel route: Arrange for 1 day. Visit the vineyards and underground cellars in the morning, have lunch at the winery restaurant, participate in wine tasting activities in the afternoon, and then take photos and relax.
😋Food recommendations:
🎈Luoping: Scrambled eggs with canola flowers, fish with sour bamboo shoots, and smoked meat.
🎈Fuxian Lake: Copper pot fish, copper pot potato rice, and drunken shrimp.
🎈Mile: Mile braised chicken, mutton soup pot, and beef stewed in red wine.
🏠Accommodation recommendations:
🎈Luoping: Stay in a B&B near Jinji Village to watch the sunrise, or choose a star-rated hotel in the county for comfort and convenience.
🎈Fuxian Lake: For lake views, choose a lakeside resort hotel, such as Hilton. For value, choose a guesthouse or B&B in Guanglong Town.
🎈Mile: Recommended is the Dongfengyun MGallery, which is integrated with the scenic area.
🚗Transportation guide:
🎈Luoping: About 210 km from Kunming, about 3 hours by car, about 4 hours by train, and a similar time by bus.
🎈Fuxian Lake: About 1 hour by car from Kunming. You can also take a bus from Kunming South Bus Station.
🎈Mile: Close to Kunming, about 40 minutes by high-speed rail, and 1.5-2 hours by car.
Friends, pack your bags and embark on this romantic spring journey!💕
The red of nature differs from the imagined vibrant red, but the red from this volcanic eruption is still breathtaking. The journey from the parking lot to the red beach is a bit challenging, about a 10-minute hike up a mountain path or where there's no path at all. Those who enjoy a challenge will appreciate it, marveling at the wonders of nature. I'm grateful for my taxi driver's patient service; as a local, he could tell many local stories, and his price was reasonable. At my request, we even stopped along the way to photograph the grapevine basket—a unique way of wintering grapevines in Santorini. You can contact him if you need a ride.
The Red Sand Beach is a must-see attraction when traveling to Santorini, because no matter whether you are taking a leisurely self-guided tour or a group tour, the bus will definitely pass by here during the day. People usually take pictures on the mountain and will not go down to the beach.
From the perspective of taking photos, the best place to view the red sand beach is two or three hundred meters forward from where a large number of tour buses are parked. The red mountain cliffs stand tall, and some tourists on the beach are far away from us, forming the background of our picture.
The mountains of Santorini's Red Beach are red, which makes the sand and gravel in this bay very large and red, a very strange scenery. The color of the bay is also very blue and clear. There are colorful corals under the sea here, which is also a diving paradise.
The red sand beach of Santorini is a good place to sunbathe if you have time. Because the sand is dark, it is very hot under the sun, even burning your feet, so it is best to prepare a pair of beach shoes. There are many restaurants next to the beach. We chose one and ordered pita bread, fries, steak and beer. The beach is free to rest, as long as you order some food. From time to time, there will be planes flying over your head, so low. From Athens to Santorini, you can choose to fly, speedboat and ordinary boat. The best time to travel: April-September.
The sand on Santorini's Red Beach is iron red, mainly because the sand is rich in iron. Like the Black Beach, it is made of small pebbles, but the waves here are slightly bigger than those on the Black Beach, making it more magnificent.
Red Beach is a beautiful beach with charming scenery and seclusion! There are large areas of red bare rocks here, which are formed by the oxidation of magnetite in black volcanic rocks over a long period of time. Red beaches are very rare, and representative ones include Santorini and Maui in Hawaii.
