Pierre Loti Hill

Pierre Loti Hill is located in the northwest of Istanbul, and its top is not only one of the best places to overlook the panoramic view of the Golden Horn, but also a good place to watch the sunrise. There are also restaurants and cafes on the top of the mountain. When the weather is good, many tourists come here to drink coffee and enjoy the scenery. Pierre Loti Hill is named after French naval officer and novelist Pierre Loti. At that time, he was in charge of the place as a naval officer. He was moved by the beauty, lived a leisurely life here, and fell in love with a local girl. Legend has it that they sipped Turkish coffee together in an open-air café on the hill, and even Pierre Lotti had coffee with him while he was writing. Later, a unique culture was formed here, the mountain became more and more famous, and it was also mentioned in many Turkish films. The little-known little café on the hill has kept its original appearance and changed its name to Pierre Lotti café, which is still in business today.
