There is a place where you can embark on a real "Zootopia" adventure in the cool evening breeze — Chiang Mai Night Safari! As the only open-air night zoo in Asia, located in the mountains, it features "nighttime immersive animal viewing." ⛺【Activities】
1. Safari Tram Tour (a must!)
🔸 Carnivore Zone: Ride the tram through the area where lions, tigers, and black bears stroll leisurely under the lights. Seeing them up close is thrilling and intense!
🔸 Herbivore Zone: Giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and more come right up to the vehicle. You can feed them snacks bought for 20 THB! Giraffes will actively put their heads inside the window for treats, and zebras and deer circle the car, making for amazing photos!
2. Animal Shows: Parrots riding bikes, sea lions balancing balls, very interactive and kids love it. Shows last about 20 minutes, worth watching if you have time~
3. Free roaming in the park: There are snack stalls (recommended coconut smoothie and grilled sausages), souvenir shops, and a slow little train ride around the park~
🔸 Suggested order: Safari Tram (Carnivore Zone → Herbivore Zone) → Animal Show → Free roaming + little train. This route avoids backtracking and offers the best experience!

💡Must-bring items & tips
✅ Mosquito repellent: The park has lots of greenery and many mosquitoes at night, definitely bring some!
✅ Light jacket: It gets a bit cool in the mountains at night, with big temperature differences between day and night, a jacket is just right
✅ Phone power bank: Nighttime photos drain battery fast, avoid missing great moments due to power loss
✅ Small amount of cash: You’ll need Thai baht for snacks and feeding treats, 200-500 THB is enough
▪️ Other tips: Wear light-colored, comfortable flat shoes for good photos and easy walking; do not bring your own food to feed animals, only use snacks sold in the park to protect animal health

Overall, Chiang Mai Night Safari is definitely worth a visit! Especially for lazy travelers and families with kids, just go for the ticket + shuttle package, it’s worry-free and cost-effective. Spending your time playing is the real deal~
Chiang Mai Night Safari
Quite good but the time is rushed in between trips to catch up for the show. And should upskill more for entertaining guests for English speaking. Overall well done.
Compared to Singapore's Night Safari, this place offers more interactive experiences, is smaller and more refined, and while the park isn't large, it's very well maintained. It's clean, tidy, and orderly. In the herbivore enclosure, you can interact closely with deer, zebras, and giraffes; the giraffe's head can even be put directly into the viewing vehicle. The wildlife shows are excellent; the animals aren't trained, but rather roam freely without causing harm!
I originally liked animals very much. Although I am an adult, I still like to go to the zoo. And I didn't go to such a sightseeing car zoo when I was a child, and I just made up for my regret when I was a child in Chiang Mai, hahahaha. My friend and I took her son to play together. The children were also very happy along the way. My friend and I looked at animals, chatted, and accompanied the children ~ was a good place to walk a baby! The most important thing about entering the park: be sure to exchange cash coupons! The only common currency in the entire park, nothing is charged, or we will not change the UnionPay card, want to buy water, no money to buy things, go out and change! There are also food for animals to feed, you also need to buy, 40 🐷 a small basket, a small basket, you can buy a few more baskets, used to feed the giraffe 🦒 animals that can be fed have zebras, sika deer, kangaroos, giraffes, and black bears in the meat eating area behind can also be fed. It is said that it eats bananas and when it is fed. We were in a sightseeing car with all the tourists. In addition to feeding and visiting, there are some wildlife performances that are not acrobatic groups. They are very cute. The trainers are also cute. Wildlife performances are that they come out for a walk, perform meat, and tigers 🐅 show, and lions 🦁, hahahaha, they will be emotional, If you don't want to eat, you will not eat and will be a fierce trainer, it is so cute! Like raising a big cat, there is a fountain ⛲️ performance every night. The lighting design is very good. There are also singing and dancing performances in the square. It is very enthusiastic and super passionate. It is recommended to arrive around 3 pm. You can have a better experience, otherwise the pedestrian area is still very large and you need to rest in the middle. We played until 8 o'clock and went home. It was quite compact. We didn't see the fountain light show ~.
It is a must-visit attraction in Chiang Mai. There are only two night zoos in Asia: Singapore and Chiang Mai. This one in Chiang Mai is the largest! I saw many people were bringing their babies (together to play! ①We left at 3pm, which was not very hot. If we left too late, it would be a bit dark and the photos would not be clear! Remember to bring your credit card! Cash is not accepted inside, but you can buy food to feed the animals by swiping your card Especially feeding the giraffes! Really a close encounter!! Super cute When watching the tiger show, try to walk faster and find a front seat! Overall, it was worth the trip! The most unforgettable trip to the zoo~
It's still cheap to book tickets on Ctrip, which is very good. There is no night zoo in China. You must come to experience it, especially with children. It's really wonderful. It's so interesting to keep a safe distance from the animals. It's very safe. The scenic area is well planned, the performances are good, and the cable car tour is even better. It's an immersive animal world. Children must like it! Not bad 👍
It is very convenient to book a ticket with pick-up. We will be picked up at 15:00 and gather at the parking lot at 20:00. As soon as you enter the door, go to the herbivore area on the left to take the cable car to visit. Remember to apply for a cash card first (about 100 baht, which can be refunded if not used up) to buy food for feeding animals. Buy a few more baskets. It is still very interesting to feed them along the way. Don't go to the carnivore area to take the cable car immediately after the end. It will be more interesting to go there after dark. Go to the walking area in the middle to see the animals first. After a circle, you have to go out of the park to watch an animal show. Go early, there will be no seats if you go late. After that, you can enter the park with your ticket to watch the tiger show, and then go back to the square in the central area to watch the Thai folk performance. Children can take photos with the animals next to them. It costs 20 baht each time. There are cute owls and porcupines, as well as lizards and snakes. Basically, we will leave the park at about 8 o'clock after playing this circle!
I think it's quite good. When checking tickets at the gate, the staff will ask whether you want to watch the show or take the sightseeing bus first, and will recommend the order of the attractions, so we completed the tour with high quality. It is recommended to arrive there at 4 o'clock, walk around the lake to see the animals in the walking area, and then focus on watching the show, herbivorous and carnivorous areas.
