Market Square

Century Square in Belgium is a medieval square that is relatively well preserved in Europe. I personally think it is worth visiting, and visiting here can give you a sense of the life of the local people. It is still very good.

The Markt of Bruges is located in the center of the city and covers an area of about 1 hectare. Some of the historic sites around the square include the 12th century bell tower and the West Flemish Provincial Court (originally the Water Hall), which was demolished in 1787 and replaced by a classical building that served as a Provincial Court since 1850. The fire was rebuilt in 1878 and became a neo-Gothic style in 1887. The statues of Jan Breydel and Peter de Koningk (Pieter de Coninck) are located in the center of the market.

The Market Square is the square outside the clock tower and the town hall. Many horse-drawn carriages are parked here, and tourists can pay to ride a carriage and take a tour. This should be the center of the city, and there are many shops and restaurants nearby.

One of the famous and most crowded part in Bruges. It is where the Belfry and some museaums are located and the Markts is also famous for its local restaurants, and of course, BELGIAN CHOCOLATE shops and waffles spread out around the Markt! Make sure to go there at night time as well, because some of the lights will make the city more beautiful

Bruges' Market Square is home to several important attractions in Bruges: The Belfry, Basilica of the Holy Blood, City Hall, etc. These buildings surround three sides, and the other side is for tourists and bars. The carriages for visiting Bruges also get on and off here. The bicycles parked in the square are all locked. Even if some are not locked, they are all private cars!
