What Is a Senior Railcard?
The Senior Railcard provides a 1/3 discount on most UK rail fares for those aged 60 and above.
Senior Railcards are only £30 for one year and £70 for three years (£20 cheaper than three one-year Railcards), with average annual savings up to £96*, although there is no limit to the amount of times you can use the Railcard within the validity period.
The Senior Railcard is ideal for those retired who travel frequently, such as those who love to adventure, see family often, or have regular appointments.
This Railcard provides discounts on various ticket types such as Anytime, Off-Peak, Advance and more. On weekdays, you are entitled to discounted travel at any time except journeys between two stations inside London and the South East area during morning peak time (before 09:30 am). You can travel at any time using the Railcard discount on weekends and bank holidays.

How to Get a Senior Railcard?
You can purchase your Railcard (1-year or 3-year) through the Trip.com app, as shown below.
What do I need on-hand when buying my Railcard?
Identification proof (valid passport, UK driving licence or EEA national identity card)
A high-quality digital passport-style photo of yourself
A debit or credit card for payment
Step 1: Open the Trip.com app and tap "Trains" at the top of the homepage
Step 2: Tap "Buy a Railcard" at the bottom of the page
Step 3: Sign in to your Trip.com account and select the right Railcard for you
Step 4: Enter your personal information (including name, date of birth and a passport-style photo) and purchase
Step 5: You can now tap ‘My Railcards’ to view your new Railcard
Step 6: Make sure to add your Railcard when booking train tickets digitally (or select it if buying tickets physically) to enjoy discounts.

The Senior Railcard offers a 1/3 discount on most Off-Peak rail fares for travel across the UK. Below, you will find information on tickets, time restrictions, and the cheapest fares available.
Note that the only restricted periods are peak morning time for journeys between two stations within London and/or the South East of England.
