Since the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Nanshan has been a residence or tourist destination for countless scholars and celebrities, thanks to its quiet and tranquil atmosphere. Su Tungpo, Kangxi, Qianlong and many other scholars and emperors left brilliant tributes to Nanshan. "Zhaoming Anthology" and "The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons" were both written here.
