The autumn foliage at Hangzhou's Flower Harbor Park is at its peak, with large areas of red maple and Japanese maple turning crimson, creating a stunning "red reflection in the water" spectacle. 🌟 Autumn Foliage Features and Best Viewing Time Autumn Foliage Varieties: Primarily red maple and Japanese maple, with vibrant, scarlet leaves and tall, graceful trees. Some areas also feature feather maple. Best Time: Currently (early December), the leaves are 100% red, and the viewing period can last until mid-to-late December. In the early morning (6:00-8:00 AM), before the mist dissipates, sunlight filters through the leaves, creating a spectacular interplay of light and shadow. In the evening (4:00-6:00 PM), the sunset bathes the leaves in a warm orange hue, creating a truly atmospheric scene. 📸 Must-Visit Photo Spots Red Fish Pond: The reflection of the red leaves in the clear lake, along with the swimming koi, creates a picturesque scene. The Nine-Bend Bridge is a classic photo spot. Near the Peony Garden: The old maple trees display vibrant colors; backlighting from the wooden pavilion allows you to capture the translucent texture of the red leaves. Yanggong Causeway area: At dusk, you can witness the spectacular "golden light through the holes" phenomenon (the Tyndall effect created by sunlight penetrating through maple leaves).

I've been to the Shanghai Romance Park, and I felt the park was too small. The Hangzhou park, supposedly the main base, is indeed very large, with many more shows, and is much better than the Shanghai one.

Putuoshan Scenic Area (located in Putuo District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province) is one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains, renowned for its worship of Guanyin Bodhisattva. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Putuoshan Scenic Area is permitted. 1. Landmark of the Buddhist Kingdom by the Sea 33m Standing Guanyin Statue: Cast in imitation gold bronze, with her left hand holding a Dharma wheel and her right hand in the Abhaya Mudra (gesture of fearlessness), facing the sea, it is the most striking visual symbol of Putuoshan. The Unwilling-to-Leave Guanyin Temple: Originally built in the Tang Dynasty, it is the site of the legend of a Japanese monk leaving his image and building the temple. Together with the Purple Bamboo Forest and Chaoyin Cave, it forms the cultural origin of the "Guanyin Refuses to Leave" story. 2. Three Ancient Temple Clusters Puji Temple: The main temple on the mountain, its 8.8m seated Vairocana Guanyin statue in the Yuantong Hall is the most popular; the Haiyin Pond in front of the temple is covered with lotus in summer and snow in winter, and the Yongshou Bridge features 40 stone lions in various poses. Fayu Temple: A nine-tiered temple built into the mountainside, with the Nine Dragons Hall featuring a Ming Dynasty glazed tile roof. The Imperial Stele Hall and Jade Buddha Hall cascade down the mountainside, interspersed with ancient ginkgo and dragon-phoenix cypress trees. Huiji Temple: Located atop Foding Mountain, it requires a cable car or 1088 stone steps to reach the top. Behind the temple, the "Carpinus" is a national second-class protected rare tree species, offering a 360° panoramic view of the archipelago. 3. Beaches and Unique Rocks Qianbu Beach: The longest beach on the island, with an arc length of 1750 m. The sand is fine and the slope gentle. Sunrise over the sea is visible in the morning, and the evening displays a "golden sunset over the sand." The "Listening to the Tide Stone" on the west side produces a thunderous sound at high tide. Baibu Beach: With clearer water, it's open for bathing in the summer and has complete facilities, making it ideal for seaside activities. More than twenty uniquely shaped sea-eroded rocks, including Pantuo Rock, Two Turtles Listening to the Dharma Rock, and the Sea-Sky Buddhist Kingdom Rock, are scattered throughout the mountain, forming a spectacular "mountain-sea-reef" landscape together with Chaoyin Cave and Fanyin Cave. Putuoshan blends the religious atmosphere of a "Guanyin Bodhisattva's sacred site," the magnificent seascape of the East China Sea archipelago, and the secluded depths of subtropical forests, making it a rare island-type Buddhist holy site in China that offers a four-fold experience of "pilgrimage—sea view—forest appreciation—sand play."

I went to Hangzhou in September. Since I was staying in the Lingyin Temple scenic area, we walked there the next day to check out the Buddhist supplies shop. It seems the entrance fee has been abolished now, but when we went, we still had to buy tickets. Looking forward to going again; free admission is so kind! Environment: Lush and green, very pleasing to the eye, and the air was very fresh. However, once inside the temple, it got a bit pungent, but that also shows how many tourists there are and how popular it is! Service: Free drinking water and incense were provided upon entering Lingyin Temple. Kudos to the management!

I only visited Xizha in Wuzhen, arriving in the afternoon and staying until the lights were dim in the evening. This should be the off-season, as there were still a decent number of visitors, and the scenery was quite nice. However, the entrance fee seemed a bit expensive, and the food inside the scenic area was also more expensive than elsewhere.

Each island has its own attractions, so I recommend buying a combined ticket that includes cable car and ropeway fees. The islands are much smaller than I expected. On Meifeng Island in the central lake area, there's only a small area to explore, basically just a viewing platform. I suggest walking up and down the mountain; it's not far. I recommend taking Line 2, which skips Meifeng Island compared to Line 1. Meifeng Island is primarily for dining, so I don't recommend eating there; it's expensive and the food isn't good. Longshan Island is the largest of the islands. You can take a sightseeing bus and a magic carpet up the mountain and walk down.

I recommend doing your research beforehand. For the Qing Dynasty Palace Garden (Huanqiu Cinema), renting a car is a must (it took us an hour to explore it all, it's really huge). I personally feel the others aren't necessary. Before entering each garden, scan the QR code at the entrance to get the show schedule. We even saw some celebrities filming while visiting the Qingming Scroll.

You absolutely must go from Fangdong to Lingyan. You can take a cable car up from Fangdong, and the mountain path isn't tiring. Lingyan, on the other hand, is entirely a staircase path; if you're not physically fit, it's best not to go from Lingyan. (There's no cable car at Lingyan.) The Cloud Time Cliff Cafe in Fangdong is very photogenic. It's a great place to rest, have coffee, and take pictures. The suspended iron suspension bridge is the only way to connect Fangdong and Lingyan scenic areas. I'm afraid of heights, but after crossing it, I didn't find it as scary as I imagined. It was manageable. Trying a little thrill can be a great experience.

Landed at the airport Friday morning and headed to Tianyi Pavilion – no traffic! The garden scenery is natural, and there were group activities for children – lots of laughter and fun! The restrooms in the scenic area were very clean, tidy, and odor-free. Thumbs up! The shopkeepers at the cultural and creative stores were friendly – also a thumbs up!
